Yeph. I have already 2 datas whit over 800 hours, and now i am starting an anither 3rt character, ready to have more weapons to master it. This Monster Hunter in particular is one of my favorite games. And his vatiety and mecanics always catch me so much. Even whit those problems here.
MHFU is suffering. The suffering turned into sacrifice, which in turn became hatred. I then unlocked the power within me to suffer until I perfected dodges. And then I was finally ready to ascend this earthly plane and this crude matter of flesh.
For all the jank MHFU had, I still love it to this very day. Nothing beats getting hip-checked into non-existence by Plesioth, Diablos, Kut-Ku, or any other monster that can do so.
Crazy to think it was so long ago that we had MHFU. Felt like a newcomer to the series when I started playing Monster Hunter with MHFU. Now fast forward 11+ years. Guess now I'm a series vet. Strange how time flies.
Got over my first kut ku totally by accident with an auto block sword and shield. All my pot are gone and i was at half life. Couldn't stop smiling the whole day after that.
Saaaame! Rhe jump from one to the other is incredible! While I will never have the patience to play it again, this remains a gem and I will always trasure the memory
The pain is what it makes it fun. I returned to MH1 and managed to clear the 3 eggs in the dessert quest. The most sense of victory I've felt in months. Lmao.
I absolutely hated that shit in 04 when I got the game. Still have it on ps2 but my memory cards are busted so we only play Dance Dance Revolution on the ps2. My son is a Risebabby so Im letting him play MHFU now on psp. Wife and I play World these days.

Almost 2000 hours I put into this wonderful gem of a game. SO many fond memories, and exponentially more rage filled memories. I could solo the hell out of the highest rank monsters towards the end though. Miss fighting the Kirin. But also hated it.
Everytime I see a MHFU video I insta click, the memories of this game and the ones before are just too good. They were super challenging, trial and error and when you overcame it it felt so rewarding. Call me a boomer, but MHFU is the goat. Also, just like Shakira said them hips don't lie boiiii!

MHFU just hits different. I am swearing up and down while playing, get real mad when a vespoid or a bullfango messes up my hunt, and curse the hitboxes to hell and back. But at the end of every session I always say, "Damn, that's a good ass game."

Also, while I love the old generation games, I still admit that a good part of their difficulty was due to obtuse game design, broken hitboxes and questionable AI. They are still great games, but when you compare them to new titles it's easy to see why so much stuff was changed for the new generations.
Old Basarios got one thing going for it. You might bounce a lot, but with how little health it has you might as well be dealing full damage (with GS even more DPS than usual because the comeback attack is faster than restarting the combo)
not actually slow as that when you can heal easily and can Dodge Monster attack as if you have a Chance while i been playing this game over 32 hour's and it isn't slow as Using GS or LS

@@blastmole299 Tigrex's hitbox wasn't that bad tho, but u can dodge easily if u know the timing and have good reactions, people say "Plesioth hitbox this and that" but never learned to dodge it, which is easy once u know how to.
Still, old gen of Monster Hunter were seriously fun. Stayin alive, pick up ur stunned friend, and find a perfect time to drink the potion cuz u can't walk. Basically u have to work together to slay.

MHFU is the most adrenaline-packed, addictive, immersive monster hunter experience there is. It is one of the best and most well-designed MH games (except for Azure Rathalos. Fuck Azure Rathalos).
The amazing thing to me is, that it looks really janky, but it's actually just a little janky. Like a lot of these janky clips were just the player making a mistake. Incredible game, if it had online multi-player I'd probably play it over sunbreak

MH Freedom was my first entry into the game, and I loved the series ever since. Yeah, the gameplay wasn't quite as nice as Rise, IMO Rise has the best gameplay out of any MH game, but the old games were tough as nails. It was all about timing, even when healing, timing was key, even cooking a meal was challenge and all about timing (AND farming was the worst nightmare, I had to hunt Silver Rathalos in MHF2 35 times before getting the Ruby or what ever it's called, I played the game in German). There are some mistakes in this vid that the player made for sure, but the gameplay was quite janky at times, with weird hitboxes and spammy attacks. Also, I never did fire any of my Felynes, I just couldn't bare that sad animation 😢

If you press Triangle+Circle while holding R and having the greatsword sheathed, you will instant block. If you hold down Triangle+Circle+R during an animation, you will also insta block after the animation ends. It's extremely useful to block monster charges and tail swipes.
As janky as that game was, the 3000+ hours I put into it were some of the best gaming moments of my youth.

I always use the Daimyo's Warbow against Basarios and Gravios. Piercing and water shots. They don't last 5 minutes.
