MHFU was the first entry in the series for me. I dies countless times to the first tigrex hunt. Coming back after more than 2k hours combined in the series, this Tigrex got the reality check it deserved. Even with low rank gear I shredded him apart. Felt great to get revenge.

Yes! Getting that evasion up, finding that sweet spot between Tigrex's legs so that you can roll THROUGH him as he's charging you. The first time you landed a charged GS/Ham hit when he charges you. So so so many good memories.

I know it's infinitely better now, but I couldn't forget the classic hitboxes. I still ended up rolling too much or running too far with my first few MHW Tigrex hunts

Believe it or not. You can kill White Fatalis using a max wide gunlance shelling attacks only in MHFU. Yeah I tried it because White Fatalis's skin becomes too hard when he's enraged.
MHFU is still awesome to play . Even the janky magical hitboxes and mythical moments of sheer randomness just pulls me always back to that game . This game makes boys into men . And the Lance is still the best weapon in the game ! Fight me !!

Also the countless Kut-Ku speed runs for quick 13k+ Zenny to just farm money. Fastest time I think I ever got on it was like 40 seconds which wasn't bad for a 15 year old who barely had a grasp on the game as it was (remember the first time you looked at Skills and went WAIT OH THEYRE LITERALLY BUFFS WAIT and then the actual game started)
I remember my first time with the game, bulldrome was my wall, and i was able to win against him thanks to gunlance and the "cliff" thing at area 6. Imagine my surprises when tigrex can just hurl rocks at me. Good times
I'm never entirely sure but it often felt like this encounter has the aggressiveness turned lower than it usually is, probably so rookie players have an easier time escaping from it. But I do appreciate that they also scaled its HP to be appropriate for the rank and time limit, it's always very fun to attempt to take down.
4:21 - 4:23. I don't understand this. I'm playing MonHun Portable 3rd and sometimes like.. The legs of enemies just suddenly have hard spots that deflect stabs and after a few more attacks they just go away.
The legs bounced, but not the body/belly, it's just hard to see what the weapon hits exactly, especially while in gameplay (also sometimes hitzones aren't visually distinct so there might be two different where you thought there was only one)
@cleo42 I'm sure that is the case here, but I do have similar weird occurences with bouncing. Fighting Chameleos, using Kirin Thundersword gs I bounced off of almost everything on his body no matter what, even if I was level 3 charging. The charge didn't grant me esp. Went back with diablos gs and suddenly every single level 3 charge had esp. Still confused on that one, why one gs had esp on every charge and the other didn't seem to at all.
I tried playing MHFU and I think it was good. But I just couldn't get good at it. Now that I think about it maybe I just gave up too easily. Maybe I should play MHFU again.

I'd been playing solo that entire time but finally convinced 1, then 2 then 3 friends to get it, MHFU that is. Along the way we met a random guy around my age that begged us to let him play with us, yeah no problem cool man. Guy goes on to tell us about how he'd been so fucking desperate, so hard up to play with anyone that he'd stand outside Gamestop and Game Crazy asking guys if they played MH lmao. I still play online with one buddy to this day as we live in different states now but our love of MH still goes on.
@@HazIsLazyehh, I feel like shell damage in FU is fine, as always it doesn't scale with raw or sharpness but artillery expert is nice for that and it also makes WF recover faster, spread 4/5 does well in endgame. Not being able to dodge is not that awful, you can still poke or block after firing a shell. Tho im just a dude that likes to build for shells only (in every single game) and loves using the popcorn GL. I do understand why you prefer to "slaplance" in this game, nothing wrong with that👍
Gunlance is fun to use in mhfu, Gunlance in mhp3rd give me a headache. (Half the hunt is loading shells because most gunlance in mhp3rd have 2-4 bullets)

Nah, i didn't shoot cuz shooting GL sucks here, you can't dodge after shooting for some reason and it barely does damage
