Hang in there, Dave. I'm 63 now, and for the past 6 years, I've had to adjust my diet. My doctor put me through a bunch of tests, but it turned out that our bodies and digestive systems change over time as we age. I was relieved that nothing was wrong. Just changing my diet solved the problem.

Stop eating processed fake food and doctors know very little about eating healthy! They follow government guidelines and those guidelines are completely 💩

Hi David-Regarding your abdominal pain situation. The main culpret in these type of situations is the starchy carbohydrates and grains that you eat. If you want something else with your steak try a green vegetable instead of french fries and a biscuit. It would be better for you anyway. my 2 cents...

The green trees are Palo Verde. The green trunks have enough chlorophyll in them for photosynthesis to take place. Google them. Pretty interesting. And, yes, scientifically proven that odors definitely trigger memories.

Hi Dave, It’s a bit difficult sometimes when you become a bit older about food. I retired four years ago and I just turned 65 years old last November 15. I know for fact that my body, system and brain is quite changed from 5 years ago. It’s not easy but I adjusted to what I am now with everything. Not only that, I am ok but I started noticing that I am doing more visits with physicians with different expertise. Oh well, I guess it’s just part of getting old. Take it easy and always be safe my friend.

I just started the Carnivore diet. Trying to cure my fatty liver and lose a few pounds. I have so much more energy now. I hardly miss the sugar. Miss being able to eat potatoes. I love loved corn beef hash.
The 💩 problem is everywhere. It's very rude to not clean up after your dog. How's Leftys Paw doing ? Give Lefty some scratches from Journey and I.

If the lowest the batteries got was 65% with 800Ah, the lowest they would have gotten with 400Ah would have been 30%. Better to have too much capacity than too little, especially as it dwindles a bit over time, and who knows, you might go to worse climates in the future.
But on the other hand, extra batteries take up space and weight that could be used for other things. Lightening the load on a rig is never a bad thing. You could pocket some cash upgrading someone else's rig from AGM to LiFePO4. Or even two rigs.
The best thing about having more batteries than you need in parallel, is that it cuts down the current demands on each one, giving them an easier life. So maybe a good compromise would be to ditch 1 of the 4, instead of 2 of the 4, if you do decide to scale your system down a little.

You can try going with a Porterhouse steak that is less fatty but still very tasty. Porterhouse is my favorite steak to BBQ on the charcoal grill. The big side = New York strip and small round side = filet mignon.

Feel for ya with the gut issues I’ve been there and with Hospital stays a few years ago…Water Water and lots of Water are really the only thing I drink other than Milk, I drink a Activia every morning and I really limit my Beef to maybe once a week. Pork, Poultry, and Fish are much easier on your gut. Beef is harder on your digestive system.
Oh and stay away from Taco Bell 😂😂😂

The camera is doing great, the clarity is off the chart. You may believe you overthought the Battery upgrade, but when something works so well, sounds more like the upgrade was planned well. I enjoyed today’s walk, brought back some great memories. Having to remove a favorite meal is a slap. I’ve had to make changes also to continue my diet quest. The Sausages you had to drop may contain a preservative that you can’t handle anymore, versus an ingredient like fat. Best wishes, JimO.

From what I know about gall bladders.: Gall bladders make and store a "bile" that is released by the gall bladder when the digestive system needs help in breaking down those food products that are more difficult to digest than others. Fat is one of those items. Keep track of what you eat and reduce those items that irritate you. I'm not a doctor nor do I have a gall bladder any more. Blessings

Good job beginning to figure out the dietary adjustments needed. i once had a girlfriend, who a few years before we met, was having medical problems and could only eat lamb, rice, and water for over a year. Whatever it was, she recovered and ate more stuff and more quantity than you'd believe, considering that she was 115 pounds give or take 5 , for the rest of the 22 years that we were in touch. Some medical issues get worse, some medical issues go away after you take care of other root causes.

I assume palo verde or mesquite trees are what is prevalent in that wash and in most of the Mojave desert. Occasionally you'll find willows, Joshua trees, and also invasive tamarisk that often grow where there is water. The dark clumps you see in the trees are desert mistletoe which is parasitic and lives off the trees.

Small leaves or an absence of leaves means all moisture is better contained within the growing thing. Growth along a desert wash: Cottonwood trees can be the tallest trees along a wash and at any deep water source; they are used for making Kachina dolls and many Native American wood items
Blue Palo Verde trees have green bark/stems and big thorns.
Mesquite trees (there are several varieties), like most things in the desert, grow slowly; large seed pods have edible seeds which are sweet (but sometimes bitter) and quite tasty (at least to me!). Seeds can be ground to make mesquite flour.
Ironwood trees have dark brown bark, tiny blue/gray/green roundish leaves and they also grow slowly; even one twenty to thirty years old still can be short in stature. Some trees grow in a tight cluster from a centralized base, usually after many years the largest tree survives and thrives.
Cat's Claw Acacia has thorns like a cat's claw and it grows as small trees or shrub thickets alongside washes.
Desert Willow trees have dark green foliage and grow tall with long, hanging seed pods. Gorgeous blossoms!
Desert Broom flowers are yellow and it is more like a shrub which can grow short or tall and it is usually the first to grow when soil is disrupted by nature or by a manmade source.

On the other hand, if the dog's poop was left on the ground, just as the mountain lion, snake, and bird poop is, pretty soon the top soil might become rich enough to support actual grass, instead of weeds, and actual bushes instead of sagebrush, and eventually trees, whose leaves will drop further enhancing the soil. Pretty soon, it might actually look like West Virginia!

Also, on the sausage, I often get the same thing, but I get the turkey sausage. It’s less than fat and it taste great but it taste so much leaner and less greasy. You can prepare all the same ways. Okay, David, I have mulled over your gallbladder issue and how best to respond. Over 3 years ago, I was having significant medical issues and was following religiously the medications prescribed to me. While there was a soft push from the Medical community to change my diet, I resisted. I get it; change is hard. I got to a point where something had to give. I was on 5 blood pressure medications I am now taking Zero, Blood Pressue is normal, I was on a Statin, now I am not. My Bloodwork was a train wreck; I was almost a Type 2 Diabetic. I now only eat single-ingredient foods, and my bloodwork has been excellent over the last two years. If it has a list of ingredients or is made in a factory, I don't eat it. I am all about teaching you how to fish, not just giving you a fish. It is now time for your diet to mature as you are simply eating too many poisons that big Ag is selling as "food," and your gallbladder issue is just the first warning sign. Your recent comment about cutting the fat off your Ribeye pushed me over the edge; that is the wrong answer. So here is some suggested reading. The Big Fat Suprise - Nina Teicholz (everything you think you know and have been taught about fat is a lie); also, check out the UA-cam channel - of Dr Ken Berry - He has lots of videos, type in Galbladder in his search; he also has a free e-book about a Proper Human Diet. I want you to live your best life, I have a few more miles on my odometer than you and feel like I am 40 again having lost over 100lbs. It is time to make the next 30 years your best 30 years. If you eat a clean healthy diet, it will be a game changer for you, just understand the medical community can't make any money by keeping you healthy, just saying...

For a sausage sub, get some extra firm tofu (drain well and pat dry), cut into cubes, toss with olive oil, all of your favorite spices, including smoked paprika, salt and pepper and bake in your air fryer. Then add to your potato onion mixture. Throw in some green peppers and pickled jalapeño! 👍🏼😊

Had my first attack with gallbladder problem from eating a few pieces of Vienna Sausage for breakfast in the 1980's. Days later visited a Navy doctor in California and was diagnose with gall bladder. Back then they did not perform Laparoscopy surgery like it is done in most hospital today. I had open surgery to get my gall bladder out and it was painful.

Try to avoid high fat foods among them fried foods, highly processed foods (doughnuts, pie, cookies), whole milk dairy products (cheese, ice cream, butter) and fatty red meat. Limit the numbers of saturated fats and cholesterol heavy foods. Avoiding these can help ease any symptoms. A diet high in refined carbohydrates and saturated fats are usually the culprits. Good luck to you.

I got such a few years ago and tests showed my GB was only functioning 15%. Had it removed and it was the best thing ever... Haven't had any problems since and eat anything I want

Hi David and Lefty. Nice to see you taking a walk through some trees and greenery. I think it’s the greenest I’ve seen in any of your videos while in the desert.
Glad your taking care to resolve your health issues and as always what’s a video without Lefty’s shenanigans.😄🌵🐕🥰

The thing that gave me the pain that diagnosed my gall stones was sausage. The problem with fat is that it makes the gall stones in your gallbladder get riled up, move around and then they block the bile duct outlet and that creates the pain. Your digestion needs the bile. Another sign can be having really light to white poop because there's no bile getting through to color it. It's very weird but real. When the pain comes on it often travels around to your back also.
If you quit the sausage and fatty foods until you get your gallbladder out, you can gradually add many things back in. But you really need to increase your vegetable intake drastically to balance things out.
The desert green is beautiful and your soul loves beauty.
Stay safe and well. Love to that silly boy, Lefty.

Hey, if you and Lefty wanted to come to Phoenix for a couple of days I’ll be glad to show you guys around you could have the spare bedroom and bathroom. And there’s lots of areas to go hiking one or two minutes from my house. And as beautiful as that is, I think it’s more beautiful here cause there’s hills and what not there’s hot balloons in the air in the morning. It’s an open invitation David.

@@TheCampulanceMan I am a list guy also. Ha ha. I went out hiking yesterday morning and a place Called Dreamy Draw Park. You could look it up on Google it’s in Phoenix. There were hundreds and I mean 100s of people out there. It wasn’t crowded per se because it’s so fast that we were in the mountain foothills and they just redid that park. It was gorgeous. The desert was so green just blanketed with grass course I was because of all the recent rains.
