@@RoadsideRC yep that's the thing really is the space isn't it. It would have to be very narrow but then quality and strength might be compromised. Thanks for the reply, just wanted bounce the idea off someone with knowledge and you seem to have alot of it.
Just picked up this buggy. I don’t have plans of racing. My question is. I have a stock Arrma 4s blx system. Would this work in the TLR Typhon or do I need lower KV?
Look on the TLR website. They have example setup sheets from their pro racers. Use those as a guide. Yes, the guides will not be for the Arrma Typhon, but for the proper TLR buggies - but they are a good starting point.
Hi, i just owned a tlr typhon. Is it possible to change front and rear diff case to metal too? Do you recommend changing it or just stick with stock plastic case?
Next time you need to change out the center diff , just pull those four screws off the top of the diff cover. Pull cover off and diff slides right out
For this car, I think you are right!
I am so used to my previous models where one side was fully captured. I didn't even pay attention to it!
Nice Upgrade !
Thanks!
Cool how-to video Troy. Merry Christmas to you and yours.🎄🎄🎄

@@RoadsideRC will do
I am thinking about putting a Mojave exb center diff in my TLR Typhoon.
Great - go for it.
Tlr tuned my butt. I had the same problem. Drove it one time and by the second time it was completely drained.
The gasket sealing could be improved, that is for sure.
The max8 is enough power for it?
Yes!
Is it possible to just custom build a center diff as a drop in replacement for the slipper clutch in an arrma 3s car? Senton specifically.
There are not the parts needed.
You might be able to create something - just he careful as you don't have a lot of space there.

I would suggest a lower KV. This vehicle is heavy for that motor.
@@RoadsideRC ok thank you. So the esc should be fine?
What fluids do you use for racing front, center, rear? I can't find what they put in there originally from tlr.

What oil weights are you running in your diffs?

For the front and rear - you can change them, but almost no need.
If you have issues, then change. But otherwise, those diff cases are OK plastic.
Hey do you think it's worth it to swap out a 6s center diff to an exb lsd center diff? Not typhon specifically I mean kraton or Mojave etc. Thanks!
I don't think much performance would be gained that way.
@@RoadsideRC thanks!
