The muscles at the back of my neck are usually so tight that they feel like wire cables and are even hard to find sensation from most stretching. This video gave me so much relief! I've tried so many stretches but self massage + active stretching is exactly what I needed to begin. I was so surprised to feel how much my neck released by the end of the video. Thank you Rachel

Appears to be better than going to a massage therapist for neck stiffness and pain as you can feel the sensation of pain adjust and readjust back and forth! Perhaps will save time and money. Will find out and write later!
I think there's nothing better than getting a massage from a skilled therapist. But self-massages like these are beneficial in between sessions, and can be done whenever you like, as often as you like, and at no cost.
@@rachelrichardsmassage9660 I did anticipate the answer. These days of lockdown problems the usual massage places are changing fast. How do I find an experienced therapist in any area?. The associations may provide all the names with a certification.

My biggest problem is this forward head posture upper cross syndrome. My upper body feels so unstable like all the connective tissue has gotten stretched out too much like Laffey taffy
Love the metaphor! First, you'll want to look at your posture throughout the day. For example, are you slumping over a desk for hours? You'll want to correct your ergonomics and posture. A massage therapist, physical therapist, or ergonomics specialist can help you with this. Second, you'll need to do some alignment work, to lengthen the muscles that have gotten short and stiff, and strengthen the muscles that are, as you say, like Laffy Taffy. It will take time (weeks to months) to retrain your brain and tissues to adapt to a new, healthier posture, but it will be so worth it!
I have been feeling breathless with upper back pain, probably from carrying to heavy a load and this has helped me so much, Thankyou
I'm so glad it was helpful!
