元々は大須商店街で町中華(ヤムヤム13)を40年以上続けていた店主さん。
店舗の立退をきっかけにラーメン屋台をはじめたそうです。
屋台を出店する場所はその時々によって異なります。大須商店街や公園でも営業しています。
子供からお年寄りまで老若男女、幅広い世代に愛されているラーメン屋台です。

I feel the same way, watching this man far older than me working his butt off pulling his cart around and cooking ramen for people brought tears to my eyes. Watching him seemingly living a much fuller life than I am at the moment, I have to admit I'm a bit jealous.
I love this guy and truly admire his spirit and dedication!!

普通の醤油ラーメンだけどしっかりと仕込んでます。子供たちにとって友達や親と特別な感じで味わうラーメン。一生記憶に残る味になるんでしょうね。

最近は軽トラで回ってるラーメン屋すらあまり見なくなりましたね
まだ小さい頃に父に連れられ雪降る寒い冬の時期よく食べていました
店舗に行って食べに行くのも勿論いいのですが屋台に食べに行くのもまた良いですよね

You know Japanese children are so supportive and treating elderly so good. I always admire the level of home moral education the Japanese families and government educate their young generation. Simply admirable. Young children make elderly so happy and became vibrant

Imagine how uplifting that scream must be, that kids would announce to his friends to ready themselves to flock the stand, the pay might seem measly for some, but seeing and feeding children who appreciates your cooking that much can feed the soul more than most jobs could :D

This reminded me of my childhood times as there were many food carts pulled by men around of my neighborhood, chicken skewers, noodles and ice creams. Hope this man is happy and blessed - I was in Japan some years ago and I can say that all foods that I tried were so delicious.
I can't wait to go visit Japan. The street food scene over there would be considered fine dining here in the US. Just the quality of food they consider street food is just unmatched.

Every time I see one of your Ramen Cart videos I always enjoy watching them. It's how relaxing they are and the simplicity. also how the man talks I would enjoy listening to the stories he might have. I also enjoyed listening to his music. I'm in my late 30s but I do enjoy listening to the music before my time. That song style seems like it could be from the 1950s or 1960s. There's a song I believe called I Look Up as I Walk (上を向いて歩こ) also know as Sukiyaki that was sung by Kyu Sakamoto from around the 1960s. My dad said it was a popular song here in the US around that time.

This has something to do with the culture, honestly. Japan has this love for nostalgic/rustic stuff like ramen carts so they try hard to preserve them.

It's great that this sort of business is enabled in Japan. It is a loss to not have this sort of thing in your community. This hard work keeps him healtheir than most his age while he interacts with the community which is great for him and those in his community, together the sum becoming greater than parts alone.
