When I was younger and preparing to travel to other countries, my uncle a seasoned world traveler said to me "When your hungry always look for a place that has a lot of locals in it as the food would be really good, if there's a line out the door the food is excellent, if people walk past other places to join that line the food will be fantastic". Never been sick due to the food but had a lot of amazing meals.
There's something about the Japanese culture that I love so much. People are genuine, hard working, simple and graceful. And their take on food is unique. And it's so cute to see even the little kids enjoying it. So much to learn from this culture.
