    I just had my 18 foot round pool installed by pool company. They had a company come in and put down 7/8" aggregate which was compacted and levelled out. After the pool was assembled the first thing I noticed wrong was that 5 of my pool legs were not centered on the slabs for the legs, but were near the edges. The pool company said this was nothing to worry about. We went into the pool for the first time this weekend. After stepping off the ladder, the first thing we encountered was a sharp object under out foot. We walked the pool only to discover several other areas with sharp edges which I know can puncture the liner. There were also lots of dips. I found out the pool company never put no Sand down on top of the aggregate, nor did they put a pool cove around the pool. They put down Peat moss on top of the aggregate and then put the liner on top of that. I have since ordered my Rhino pool pad, I couldn't get the armor pad they were out of stock and I've ordered coving. I'm presuming my pool needs to be taken down and the ground area be done properly including the bases for the legs. Do I need sand under the padding? If so how much for a 18 foot pool? Seeing that my pool is not even 2 weeks old Do I need to replace the liner? Thanks for any info you can give me I'm still waiting to see what the pool company is going to do.

      The legs not being centered on the blocks I don't think it's that big of a deal. You will definitely need sand on top of the aggregate. Of course you'll have to drain the pool down but since your liner is so new you will be fine to use it again. You'll need about one yard of sand

      @@abovegroundpros Thank you I got a hold of the pool company they were very apologetic. They are going to come and take down the pool fix the leg bases (I think) give me a credit for the draining of the pool and having to refill it. They have suggested styrofoam to be put down on top of the aggregate and pool cove around the interior.

    DOOD! DOOD!
    I bought a used 30' on CL and have been trying to get it setup. Your videos are very helpful.
    My biggest challenge has been leveling the area where the pool goes.

      Will my pool collapsed if it on wet land

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  9 років тому

      Darlene Riley If it's just moist land then no. Just follow the install instructions and use blocks under the pool and there should be no reason that moist ground would cause problems. You know your ground better than me, so if the ground erodes or shifts over time, then no I would not recommend you placing the pool over it.

    What about painting the inside of the pool with the rubber flex seal paint??

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  3 роки тому +1

      You could do that but I have found over the years that it's not as great of a protectant as people think it will be.

    We have just installed an above ground pool within the last week. Now, the pool has "settled" due to large amounts of rain and we are waiting to move it to a more level area in the yard. We just bought the liner before installing and do not want to buy another at this time. If we were to put the liner in a trash can of water until we have the outside moved and assembled would that work to keep it moist and not shrink up on us?

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  7 років тому +2

      +Jennifer Reed your liner will be fine since it's so brand new. The shrinking only occurs after a year more.

      I was thinking of just wrapping it in some type of shrink wrap and storing in plastic trunk but I realize musty/mold will probably still grow! Mine is uneven and we want to take it down to lay a concrete slab for ir

    Hi. I want to turn my above ground pool wall 30 degree . Do i have to dismantle the wall or i can spin it after i take the liner off and the reinforcement poles. Ita a round 15 foot diameter.

    • @petrucioci07
      @petrucioci07 4 роки тому

      And if its ok to spin /turn how many hands i need to turn it.?

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  4 роки тому

      That might be a tricky situation but maybe on a 15-round you could try it. I would personally get as many people as you could but chances are you'll probably have to take the wall down and put it back in.

    How old is too old to move an above ground round 15 footpool

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  Рік тому

      It really just depends on what kind of shape the pool is in. You'll be able to assess this once you take the pool down

    Trying to put up a 24 above ground pool how many tracks you need for the bottom

    • @abovegroundpros
      @abovegroundpros  5 років тому

      Either 16 17 or 18. It depends on the manufacturer. Count your number of vertical post and that'll tell you how many tracks you need.
