My wife bought one of these wallet thieves about six years ago. After a recent 3-4 days with temps in the teens once again the motor froze (even after putting in pool antifreeze). That was the last straw and she has given me permission to take it down (halleluiah!!). So far I am to the point of taking down the wall itself. I'm glad I watched your video before I started. I don't have any extra help so it's a slow process for me. I appreciate the fact that you focused on the task itself without a bunch of annoying music or off topic chatter.
Thank you for the feedback! I too get annoyed with some informational videos full of music and endless talking. Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn’t appear to feel the same as they always seem to promote flashier videos with clickbait titles.
Kids are all grown up and the pool only been used twice this summer so we decided to remove it. It’s 15 years old so selling it is not really an option, only disassembling. I wasn’t there when it was assembled so this video is really helpful. Grown up kids will be the helping hands I will need for the job 😀
I’m a out to disassemble a pool myself and your video is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much!
Thank for the feedback!!
I am draining my pool to sell it and was happy to find this video. Your pool looks very similar to mine, so I’m sure that now that I have seen this, the process will go much more smoothly. Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback. Good luck!
Tyvm! Going today to disassemble a pool and this was clearly explained and will be very helpful to make the job go smoothly. I particularly enjoyed watching your family help out to make it easier for you! Kudos to you and your helpers!
Thanks for the feedback!! Yes, I definitely could not have done it without them. They were a huge help with the disassembly and assembly. Good luck with yours!
Thanks Jared , I’m taking down a pool that’s been given to me this weekend . Your video will help me a bunch with the tear down .
I’ll watch your Assembly video to let me know how to reassemble it . 👍🏾
Congrats! A free pool is always nice. Best of luck!! Hope all goes well.
Great video. I'm going tomorrow to take down a 24x54 pool I bought from someone. This helps out tremendously. I'll watch it at least four more time to make sure I do it right. Thanks for posting.
Awesome and congrats! Thanks for the feedback.
Once you get started I think you’ll see it’s not that difficult. The excavation of the new pad and then the assembly is more difficult.
Transferring the pool to my brother and this video is just what I needed to do so. Thanks you!!!
The baggies is a great idea.
Thanks! Hope all goes well. Good luck!
Watched because I’m getting a pool from a neighbor and have to remove it. Very informative, thank you for posting.
Very nice! Good luck. Thanks!!!
I am about to take down a similar pool for disposal. While the pool will no longer be used, this video just made my task a lot easier. Thank you sir

I'm talking down a pool that was up when I got the house. Very easy to follow and great tips. Thanks for sharing
Very helpful in tearing down a pool left buy previous home owners. Thank you for sharing this! Keep up the helpful videos 💪
Thank you!
We bought the house in 2011 and the pool came with it. No one uses it anymore except when I’m dumping chemicals in it. Appreciated the video, it doesn’t look too bad to disassemble.
It really isn’t bad at all. You could offer it for sale and have them take it down or you take it down and sell it for more.
Thanks a lot for this video Jared, this is exactly what I was looking for ! I’m removing my old above ground pool this week and your video will help me a lot.
Awesome! Good luck!
Old lady kids just took apart a 18 x 12 oval pool now we are in the process of putting it back up in a different location this video was very helpful
Good deal! Glad it was helpful. Good luck.
I found your video very helpful. I will be taking down a pool for a friend who purchased a used pool. At first I was nervous about disassembling but after your video I’m much more confident. Thanks
Good! Thanks for the feedback. I hope everything goes well and feel free to come back here and ask questions if something comes up.

Thank you for the kind words! Good luck!!!
Did you set up pool?
Jarad, Thank you. Good job of explaining the process. So nice that you over-dubed the audio, which was well thought out and concisely stated.
Very helpful video as I’m ready to take down my 24’ above ground pool. Thank you

Great! Thank you!!!
We are about to disassemble a thirty foot pool that we purchased. Thank you for the clear instructions.
Awesome!! Good luck!
We are taking down our pool to pass it on to a young family that wants it. Your video helped quite a bit since it’s been quite awhile since we put it together.
That’s awesome. Thank you for the feedback. I hope the younger family gets many great years of use from it.
We are disassembling a used pool today, very helpful! Thank you
Great! Thank you! Hope everything went well.
After 15 years of life, our pool partially collapsed due to the weight of snow and ice we had this winter in Québec City 🇨🇦 The liner is torn. It is unusable, so we bought a new one. The company wanted to charge us $500 for the uninstallation, but thanks to your video we will save that money. Merci! 😃
Glad it helped!! Best of luck!!!
thanks for this. Finally giving in and taking ours down at the end of this summer.
I watched this just for information's sake. Clear and concise.
Thanks Pete!!

This video was great! I am going to be taking our pool down and your video is the only one that I could find that makes sense and is well explained.
Thank you so much for the feedback! It is certainly nice to know it helped.
We're giving our 27' pool to my bestie and we don't have a manual. I searched for how to disassemble a pool and found your video at the top. This instructional will help us tremendously in moving it to her house. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. Good luck!!
We have a Doughboy pool we sold our house. We are moving the pool with us. This video helped us alot so that we didn't have to pay a professional. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you!! I’m glad this helped. Best of luck!
How long did it take to disassemble your pool..I was offered an 18 ft doughboy pool and was wondering how hard it is to remove and if It'll need a new liner
I just watched your video. Due to health reasons this summer will be my last hooray with my pool. I have a co-worker already interested in purchasing it and wanted to see how hard/easy it was to take down a pool. Thank you! It doesn't seem too complicated.
I’m sorry to hear you have to get rid of the pool due to health reasons. Thank you for the feedback and best of luck.
Thank you for this video! I have a 24ft above ground pool that I need to take down. Excellent instructions!
Thanks, I'm currently disassembling a free "You take it down and it's yours " pool. This helps.
Awesome. Good luck!!
Thank you! We are supposed to go inspect and take down a 21' pool later today, and your video eased my mind that I really haven't gotten us in over our head!
Good deal. Thank you for the feedback. It is intimidating at first but really isn’t that bad once you get into it. The wall is the hardest part.
@@JaredsShop We bought it! Now to get a new liner. Reading reviews is a nightmare. Do you have a company or source you recommend? Thanks!

Considering buying a pool like the one you disassembled and wanted to know what that entails. We’ve never done it before. Thanks! Very informative for helping us decide if this was something we could do.
Thank you for the feedback! We hadn’t done it either but we hated to pass up the opportunity.
Disassembling a pool tomorrow and I'm very happy I found this video. Very informative!
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Good luck!
@@JaredsShop dismantling went very smooth! Only took an hour and a half (just between the previous owner, my father in law and I). Thanks for the awesome content!

Good to hear it! I think it comes off a little more daunting than it really is.

I’m picking up a 24 foot tomorrow and thought,I better learn a little bit more about this so I don’t show up with just an idea. Thank you for this video. I like having a plain before I start a project I’ve never done before. I’m fallowing and and can’t wait to see your other videos on this project
Thank you so much and good luck!!
@@JaredsShop after watching your video I found the pool I’m buying does not have the heavy metal outside skin. I’m still getting the pool as it’s still an update to what I have but I’ll be looking for one like what you showed in your video

Excellent video. I’ve sold my above ground pool, and we had no idea of the specific steps required to take it down so that we didn’t damage anything.
Thank you for the feedback! Good luck with the disassembly.
Thanks so much for producing this video..After having a pool for 34 years we are going to take it down..

Thank you for the feedback and you’re welcome! Congratulations and good luck!!!
Yeah I’m in the opposite boat. Got a house with a pool and I hate not using it and having to take care of it. We are working on selling it and need to know how to disassemble
I watched because I’ve bought a used pool & although I’ve took down removed & assembled an 18’ pool by myself I was afraid to attempt the 22’ I bought because of it having the pool wall & a liner. Your video was great had exactly all the info I needed to know & also I’m taking help w me lol
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad it was helpful. I also recently posted the assembly video and hope that will help as well. It is definitely advisable to have some help as the wall can get heavy.
Removing a pool I'm buying from someone today. Thanks for the video.
How did it go?
Thank you for posting this I am disassembling a pool today and this reminds me what I need to do the job
You’re welcome! Good luck!!

So helpful. I was going to get out my book and read it and just go backwards. But this really helped,! Thank you
You’re welcome! That’s basically what we did as well. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks!!! This was extremely helpful. Removing my pool today. Gonna have to really pace myself. I don't have any assistance. But your information looks to bed all the assistance I'll need. THANKS!
Awesome! Hope it went well. The only assistance needed is the wall. It can be a bit cumbersome with just one person.
How did taking down your pool go?
Thanks, great video. Been thinking of getting used pool was curious of the disassembly.
Thanks for sharing! About to take down a 24ft pool myself so needed some reminders on the process! Great video

You weren’t kidding the rolling up the wall was the most difficult part.

Ha ha. Yep. It is unwieldy, awkward, and heavy!
This is very organized and helpful, thank you
Thank you!!!
Great video. Getting a pool off of a friend in the near future and this is very helpful. Hoping I can find a manual but if not, just going to keep things very organized for easier reassembly. Thank you!
Thanks! Good luck.
Thanks, very informative and to the point. Very helpful. I will be disassembling a pool for a friend in June.
Good luck!!
Thanks for this! Just bought a house that has a pool like this one - and the previous owners let it fall to ruin (liner is still good, but the heaters and need work). I want to get rid of it / sell it - and put a greenhouse in its place.
This video really helped!
Awesome! I’m glad it helped. Good luck!!
I'm in the same boat. I bought a house with a pool I don't want. I'm wondering what to do about the liner? How do I get that out and down to the dump? I don't know anyone in this town to come help. I wish I could just hire someone to come and take it-lock, stock, and barrell.
@@billthompson6754
Is your pool in good shape? Put the pool up for sale or free on Facebook or Craigslist. I can almost guarantee someone will come take it for you. New pools are expensive and hard to find. Lots of people are looking for used pools and quite a few comments are from people doing just that.
Thank u .. this video motivated me to attempt getting a used one
moving my pool to our new house, great video!!!!!!
Thank you!!
We are looking to purchase a used pool and this popped up on UA-cam so thanks for your help!
Awesome! I hope it went well.
Great video Jared! We moved into our home about 8 years ago and there was already a pool that looks to be about the exact same size. Over the winter, the liner has ripped from the wall and we decided as a family that we will just take it down and replace with a sitting area and possibly a fire pit or something. What stinks is that we JUST bought a new set of steps AND replaced the pump just last year! I'm hoping I can get everything apart (according to your video) in fairly good condition and try to sell ours too! Thanks again!
Thank you for the feedback!!! Good luck, and yes that’s a shame. You sure you don’t want to install a new liner? 😁
@@JaredsShop You know, I almost decided to do just that, but last year my wife and daughters hardly even got in it, so I mentioned taking it down to them and the seemed to think it was a good idea too! 😆 I think she wants a patio/sitting area in its place!

Very well done. Informative, concise and practical.
Thank for the feedback!!
Just purchased a used pool.. ty for making a video on disassembly
Thank you!
Some helpful info - I just took down a near new 27' with one helper in about 2 hours, we did use some plywood on the ground when rolling the sheet metal made it much easier - we had 2 pieces about 32"x6 ft and leap frogged them around as we spun.
Thanks for creating and sharing your video. This helped me to demount and remount a hard wall pool i was given for free. Thanks again.
Awesome!! Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad it was helpful. It’s hard to beat a free pool!
We’re going to disassemble a pool. You’re video will be a great help, I’m sure!
This video was very thorough! Thank you making it so easy to understand. I’m getting one of these pools installed and was curious on how to disassemble if I move.
