Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

When are you going to New Zealand lol
This is not just a food review channel...This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till l am an old lady with 14 cats.
How is this cultural when they murdered and hunted the native Tasmanian’s to extinction. Yeah they raped and murdered the indigenous people of this land until they killed then all.

I remember when this channel only had about a million subs and you were telling me (back when he could still answer his commentors ) how a TV show deal fell thru. Probably the best thing that ever happened to you. You are KILLING it!

You guys are the real OG fans of this channel , Good on ya
*Your video is really good, there were many moments where I laughed a lot. Thank you. I hope the audience will always support your team.*
I am watching all the videos since this channel was like 1 year old 😂 Those are exceptions that are put together into one big video because i already saw them separately and i never watch anything twice 😂
This channel is so much more than a food review channel. It showcases culture, people, places and how diverse our 🌎 actually is. It's a multidimensional channel, with high quality content. 😊😊

True Broe, NOT bruh ! 🙄
I really like Sonny's videos on Australia. I'm Australian and I'm learning so much!!
I can't believe you came to our little island! Been watching your channel for ages and never thought you would come here ❤
What’s this 11:30 shite
That would be so cool to live in Tasmania 😻
Not that little island. Perhaps in the eyes of locals. Definitely a 'little' beautiful lovely island. An island anytime for me!
Approx of 70,000 sq km is not little at all!
Cheers from devonport
Love the channel BUT.... These guys, showing their skills, sharing their skills is amazing. Your Tassie Adventure Man absolutely nailed it! Mental health is a serious issue these days. I have suffered with mental health issues for over 40 years, have attempted suicide, had some seriously horrific years of struggling to hold things together and its guys like this who get it, understand it and, most importantly, recognise that not everyone has the opportunity to do what he does! Bless you all! ❤
My man! This is a new high on the show. More wild than the water land or tribes of Africa. Loving this !
I love the fact!!! That the chef and owner ate the lobster with a fork and my guy Sonny went in straight hands !!!😂😂😂 Love it!!!👏👏
Your voice is so soothing! Sometimes i just watch your videos to calm me down before bed.
I Love your content, and i appreciate the knowledge you learn each video, as well teach us all.
Shout out to you, and all of your crew, as well as the people who are willing to show you all about their cultures and daily lives ❤️
Such a great episode and I love that you had someone on that talked about PTSD… really appreciate that touch to the video xxx
You guys should defo get a Netflix special, your humour and production level is already way better than what’s on there. Keep up the amazing work, keep entertaining and keep the amazing content 🎉
Netflix would only water this down, and this gets as many viewers if not more
I can see why this channel has so many viewers, it has so much charm, the way you and guest talk, so much passion
These are 2 of the happiest hosts I've ever seen!!!! Love these guys!!!! They're so proud of their accomplishments!!!!!!
Man this guy travels all of the world, try all types of food and experience different cultures. What a lucky job
I love learning about not only my culture but many thanks to you Sonny! Thanks to your team as well for these amazing episodes :D
Hmmmm.. I want Sony's team for my own production.. 🙂
I guess King David has always scanning other people's wives bathing on the roof.. 😁

This video leveled up the seafood quality for sure!
Tasmania is like the Pacific Northwest of Australia. It has temperate rainforest and the second tallest trees in the world after North American redwoods. It's known for seafood and scallop pies (as in, shellfish scallops), as well as native pepperberry. Due to the cool climate in Tasmania, they have to import tropical foods (prawns, bananas, mangoes, sweet potato, olives, tomatoes, citrus, macadamia nuts) from other parts of Australia. Notably, Tasmania has no emus.
Wow I actually new very little of this and im from SA, obviously besides importing tropical fruits.
Thank you for this informative comment, I enjoyed reading it
Tasmania is also home to ogres and other mutated beings. :D
Its a mediterranean climate here. You can grow olives, tomatoes and citrus. Weed grows fantastic here as the UV is high
We drove around Tassie for two weeks - amazing place - great people - but should have hired a motorhome or camper - hotels SO expensive - crazy! Even shitty motels more expensive than the top hotels we stayed in in Chicago!!!!! MOTELS!
Wow, what an incredible journey through Tasmania's coastal waters! The way Tim and Chris hand-catch those giant rock lobsters and abalone is simply mesmerizing. It's amazing to see how they bring these sea creatures to life with such passion and skill. And the cooking part-turning these ocean delicacies into mouthwatering dishes-is pure art. Tasmania's untouched beauty and rich seafood bounty shine through every moment of this adventure. Can't wait to see more from this amazing Australian food expedition!
Oh my gosh, mouth watering!!!
I’m a hugeeee fan of lobster & crab and that looks just amazing!!!
This channel is more than just food reviews; it's a cultural documentary that showcases the diversity of our planet. Keep up the amazing work!
I’m loving this series. You’re showcasing real Australian food, not all UA-camrs have nailed it.
Flake (shark) is so delicious! They eat us, we eat them, pay back👍🏼
Loved your OI! Though I’ve never heard anyone say it before sharing a meal😂
It’s more ‘yelled’ when someone backs into your car in a car park.
Loving what you do, a peace ✌🏼
💙
Yup we ate shark nearly once a week as kids. It was the Friday treat.
Dirty old shark I'll take you proper fishing in Tasmania big trumpeter blue eye massive flathead crayfish the size of your couch this is nothing
I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm gonna be "that guy". Sharks do NOT eat people; it's a bad stigma that's been spread around by the sheep media and has led to the slaughter of so many of them. The only shark species that would potentially predate on people are Oceanic White tips, which travel the oceans heavily and have to seize any opportunity for food, and bull sharks, which are just naturally aggressive towards anything.
Shark meat is also high in mercury due to them being apex predators, so eating it regularly is probably not a good idea.
Flake is the best 👌
As someone who always forgets his password and has to make a new UA-cam account, i always make sure to follow this UA-camr
Wow, those rock lobsters are massive! It's amazing to see them being caught by hand in Tasmania. I bet they taste incredible!
The sear on that fish looks awesome! That beautiful light golden color makes such a nice presentation.
Well done!
For anyone wondering 300 dozen is 3,600. Pretty easy math. A dozen= 12.
Don't do 300 x 12 do 3 x 12. Thats 36.
One extra zero on the 3 makes it 30 so turns it to 30 x 12 and thats 360.
Another zero on the 30 for the 300 makes it 3,600.
So you do
3 x 12 = 36
30 x 12 = 360
300 x 12 = 3,600 the final answer
You could just add the extra zero on the final answer first, work out the first one then how many more zeros you need to add on to it and add them on.
But I find a lot of people get their wires fried doing it the faster way and just easier to break it down fully to keep track where you is.
This is an awesome series. Nice work dude.
IM so glad you are in Tassie... amazing land, people, food and wine. I just booked my second trip back after 4 years!
This video leveled up the seafood quality for sure!. Ngon thật sự, nhìn đã muốn ăn rồi .

My mouth watered at those fish dishes. Good production.
As an english man i will love to try Australian fish and chips.
Tbh Aussie fish and chips is miles better than UK ones. The chips and fish cuts are so grand. I've heard NZ has it even better
We learnt from the best!
We don't do mushy peas and generally don't do vinegar on chips
Literally been binge watching the channel for a week.....Sonny you are just an amazing human being....Love what you do...how you do it and the immense respect you give to each individual culture and person you interact with.....If only there were more people like you and your crew...The world would be a much more amazing place to live in ❤😊...Thank you

Tasmania is on my travel list.
I'm actually at Low Head Beach right now...in the car...in the rain, mind you. Glad you enjoyed your time here! Come back soon!
In Venezuela many years ago on the peninsula Paraguana we had lobster at a small sea side restaurant. They walked out about 30 feet and opened a cage in the sea and pulled out the largest lobster I ever seen.6 1/2 kilos, half of it, head and all , fed 6 people.
Myself and the missus are so pumped to see Chris "Tassie adventure man" on your show!
Good choice Bill "Sonny" 👍👍

Shark is common in australia and is probably some of the best fish meat. If you get Fish and Chips in Australia btw its mostly Hoki or Flake which is shark. No Cod or Haddock used here...
Sonny , when are you going to New Zealand 🤣
Love watching you and Andrew!
Got to learn a lot more different cultures other than just food reviews. Bigups y'all 🎉❤
its a food review channel why does he have to do other things if thats not the topic
Sonny: "To accompany the shark... Plants."😆😄😁 16:05 Why did I find that so funny?
Think I need to take a trip to Tassie for some of that Crayfish action.
Beautiful place - so wild. Hire a campervan or motorhome - hotels and motels SO SO expensive!
If you do, ask around to buy a cray live yourself. The restaurants in Tassie all pretty much use precooked frozen lobster that comes out rubbery and flavourless compared to fresh. Trust me it's worth to get a pot and a steaming rack from woolies and doing it yourself. I love my country, but as a whole our seafood restaurants are AWFUL compared to what you would find in Asia/America/Europe.
Every time I come back just great people, culture, and food 🙏
Seeing Australia and how a lot of channels that scavenge and catch these animals just shows how much food and different availabilities there are. Looks delicious and shows how people used to live catching there food.
Special and secret sauces are definitely a big difference, was my 1st thought when Sunny told us the ingredients..
Tassie is such a beautiful place, have loved my visits there.
Thanks to this channel for giving me a full belly by just watching, despite being hungry for the past three days. I just gotta laugh my hungry ass off while out of job and any means of officially earning a living, but the smile this channel leaves me is something I can't describe with words, for that, I say THANK YOU ❤🙂🙏🏽

I'm not surprised that Australia's Lobsters are Large.. same as their diverse wildlife and Collosal Insects.
all it needs for an animal to get big, scary and dangerous is the word "australian" in front of its name

Love Chris and his down to earth attitude,. but most of all I love the promotion of Tassie and what it has to offer! Good on ya Chris, your mate from Whyalla with your gift of the 8 thousand year old oyster shell, it's a keepsake that's for sure!
Great video with the photography (underwater scenes, drone shots). It’s the first time I’ve ever heard the term “Alaskan lobster” though. It’s usually Maine, Canadian, or American lobster. There are no lobsters that I know of that live in Alaskan waters. There are warm water lobsters in California, however, but none looking like that referenced in the video.
I came to the comments as soon as I saw that. There are no lobsters around Alaska. I think he got it mixed up with king crab.
Always watching these videos when im hungry in the middle of night !!
It’s official, I live on the wrong side of the world. The seafood seems next level.
Seafood is a big thing here. I'm from tropical Queensland, it's huge. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
All of our locally produced food is next level in Australia. We are very lucky to have such high quality food. And we love it.
