It's crazy to see Oz completely silent, everyone's attention is on the TV, watching someone they spent years with, someone they might not even like because of prison politics but nonetheless, they're watching in complete silence as Said talks about them being separated from those they care about as the camera pans and shows everyones' face.
Once again, everyone inside Oz is riveted by Said's words but this time it's on TV instead of inside Emerald City. Then, for the reaction of a lifetime, Oz erupts into yells of disbelief as they react to Said refuse Devlin's pardon.

I'm sorry to necropost, but that crazy dude that killed Said was even worse.
Just comes outta nowhere, almost teleporting, and blasting him and stabbing Omar like Crazy Beecher would've.
And a couple episodes later? He wasn't used again.
But then again, Season 6 was dogshit. Absolute, insane, painful dogshit. They killed Glynn because I dunno, they brought the Wheelchair guy back because I dunno, they brought the other dead dudes back too because I dunno...
Yet I still debate whether Season 5 was worse.

"he actually had a family and was in there under bog circumstances anyway"
That is why it would've been more powerful. That a man with every reason to get out of jail, would choose to stay on principle. It would've also shown how much Said had influenced him.

It is funny though, if Said took the pardon and clemency, there would be a strong chance he would not have been killed.

You can call it stupid refusing such a great opportunity, but that's for common men a man like Kareem sayeed stands for his principles even when the sweet taste of freedom is placed upon his tounge. I REFUSE YOUR PARDON

on the other hand the rest of the show wouldve been boring without him

that'd be dumb if Arif rejected it, he actually had a family and was in there under bog circumstances anyway...but he had reason to stay he had a gift of helping people...and he was better at helping people under those circumstances, most in the free world wouldn't have appreciated his gift the same...

One of the most ignorant scenes in this show. His brothers remain behind suppressed. SUPPRESSED because when they were free to choose they always chose chaos and destruction. But had Said had half of a brain he would have chosen freedom so that he could communicate with and save the ones that have not yet lost their freedom.

They just could have had characters move on, be released, and not have a 40+% fatality rate of getting rid of characters. Said being one of them.
