Green Arrow: You have failed this city!
Batman: You have failed the source material!
LMAO !
Lmao so true.
Well done well done
also both had a son which they didn't knew about
+Daniel Dinkov Wow! Great observation, I did not list that one.
Even has batman villains. Anarchy. Deathstroke. Damian dahrk. Ra shal gul. League of assassins.
And don't forget the inclusion of Talia,as well.
TheHurito yeah but I loved the way the treated talia on the show the didn't make her a lover like any batman story,
I know and i hope they don't it in the future....cause I think he is still married to Nyssa, but Flashpoint probably changed that.
grand inquisitor4321 I think Anarky could be an amazing villain for comic Oliver as the two basically believe in the same things, I could possibly see the two have to work together to defeat a common enemy whereas Batman just punches him in the face.
deathstroke??? he's not batman vilain, and he have a history with Oliver queen. Damien dahrk too.
-"Hey...wanna know my secret identity?"
-"Why?"
-"Because I'm Batman!" xD
Glad you referenced HISHE here. Keep up the great videos!
Of course! I love their videos. Thanks man!
Godzillarex hi I'm a biggest fan
#KillFelicity
The big difference is that Arrow understands that sometimes you have to kill the bad guys, he doesn't do it enough but at least he did it to Ra's and Damien. Batman would of locked him up again just for him to break out and go back to planning the apocalypse
Jarrod Watson And Vertigo
This! I don’t like arrow anymore but this is the ideology I follow
you missed the point of this video smh
when the green arrow was first created he was a Robin Hood version of batman (that was the idea back then) but the character found it's place in the comics later on when the writers of the silver age green arrow comics decided that they wanted to show the political side of the character and that was the beginning of the green arrow (not the Robin Hood batman) in the eyes of the readers, and then later on they gave him the island origin story (which is my favorite origin story of all time) yeah the character is sarcastic in the comics and it's different from the version from the show, but that's the beauty of comic book characters you can have multiple versions of the same character to suit your story, besides season 1 and 2 were fantastic and he acted like batman in those seasons more than the other seasons soo it's not completely annoying and he's more optimistic in season 5 than the other seasons (he was the only one who backed Barry from the team during the 4 night crossover)
I see what you're saying! And yeah, seasons 1 and 2 were basically the Batman show. He's changed considerably now. I don't know for the better, but he's changed.
And in season 5 oliver is connected to politics..but bruce wayne is way far from politics
You can argue that attitude of backing up the "loner" is a batman thing plus the crossover was one of the episodes that depicted green arrow as basically batman. The unlikable attitude and the leader behind the scenes, is how batman is typically shown in the justice league.
I don't care who will outshine who but will there be a batman show just like Arrow, flash and super girl? I do not see it happening! I want it to happen! and i want to be really cool! just like arrow!
I couldn't agree with you more that Green Arrow is Batman on CW but there is one big difference between them and its that Batman learns from his mistakes while the CW Green Arrow keeps making the exact same mistakes over and over again.
Very true. And usually due to the same reason. And that reason is FELICITY. UGH.
Godzillarex lol
and that Oliver is not a billionaire anymore
And his biggest mistake is Felicity Smoak.
Batman does exist in the cw arowverse he is just on a different earth in the multiverse which is the same earth as supergirl.
You say he "even kills in BvS" but I think "he even kills in every film he's been in"
Yes, but in other films it's more of an understated thing. Like in Dark Knight he does blow up a ninja school, but he goes out of his way to not kill people like the Joker. And I also wanted to put a cool pic of Batfleck
Not to nitpick, but he blew up the ninja school in Begins, not TDK.
To be fair, in Dark Knight, Joker was struggling to defeat Batman in a way that would hurt the persona of Batman. Batman didn't want to kill anyone, especially the Joker, since that crazy clown was forcing the caped crusader to kill him. But the Joker won the Movie, since he had an ace on the sleeve, because he made Batman kill Dent.
And he never killed Ra's al Ghul, Selina shoot Bane first and the intention was not to kill Talia. She probably didn't have any seatbelts, her fault (lol).
But yes, Bruce Wayne killed a lot of poor innocent ninjas in Begins!
movienaut Well, he doesn't kill Ra's in the sense that he doesn't pull the trigger or stab him himself, but that's still manslaughter.
Hector David Gutierrez Ochoa I wish I could say that Batman has never killed anyone, but I have to agree with you on that one.
i been saying for a while now, Arrow has more Batman in it than Gotham does
I haven't seen Gotham, but from what I've read about it, I agree! Arrow is the best Batman show on television.
DevilJin well you would think there's not much Batman in Gotham, seeing as how the show takes place before Bruce becomes Batman.........
I know, and that is the reason i don't really care for it. I watch Batman related Material for well....Batman, Gordon is cool but him just for the show....not really enjoying it
DevilJin Damnnnn
Exactly. Same here
Batman will always be the king of dc comics! :)
Arrow will take ova eventually
Of superhero world***
saket adarsh that would be spidey
Tay J ‼️ i’d take anything as long as it isn’t arrow. But imo it’s batman
@@ResilientJayyuncut haha legendary and greatest comic books character is still batman
Arrow is the Batman of the Arrowverse.
The Flash is the Superman of the Arrowverse.
mqgTWO96 More like arrow is the second rate Batman if the CW verse.
mqgTWO96 nah. Flash is actually accurate to his Injustice and comic book counterparts. I like the serious tone they used with Arrow. Hopefully we get more shows added to the Arrowverse. I like how the Arrowverse is using their franchise to make less known characters more utilized.
Tay J: It's just my opinion on these analogies based on the shows in the DC CW universe, not the comic books itself. IMO Arrow has a Batman (dark) tone and the Flash has a Superman (light hearted) tone. Iris West is the Lois Lane of the Flash.
mqgTWO96 But that just isn't accurate. Iris West was always a damsel in distress in the comics. I think (not sure) that they drew inspiration from the Superman Comics when creating some of the Flash characters of the comics.
They even have a crossover episode called "Brave and the Bold". Yeah, the comics didn't *exclusively* feature Batman, but he was the go-to character for it.
Yeah, this video just further confirms that CW's Arrow is borrowing a bit too many queues from Batman and his mythos. While I did highly enjoy seasons 1 and 2 of the show, there's no doubting that Oliver Queen is just a carbon-copied Bruce Wayne doppelganger.
Family Guy Arrow is an actual Green Arrow Show.
One kills when needed and other doesn't.
@@trevturp7687 It's a Batman show in all but name. They literally created the Arrowverse because they didn't have the rights to Batman. Green Arrow is supposed to be more lighthearted and comical.
@@thomaspanditfan2435 u do know that at crisis or some other event Batman kills darkseid and I think this is the only time Batman used a gun to kill a being .
Yeah, it's sad that they couldn't come up with stuff themselves.
I rather see a more complete comic accurate green arrow show, you know the one whos Funny and quippy like on the old justice like justice league cartoon or even the Injustice comics or game. or even the COMICS!
That's what they tried to do in season 4 of Arrow, and look how that turned out. :T
it was bad writing and execution. It could have worked had they had the right team behind it
Carlos Esquivel watch smallville season 6 you will get the arrow you want there
that gay dude?? LOL NOPE
Carlos Esquivel when I watched the first season, I Thought it would make alot of sense to move him more and more into a sarcastic funny guy, as the show progressed. I was hoping they'd be doing that, but no. Huge dissappointment. Think it was the reason for my dropping of the series. It would have been an amazing character arch and a great way to get new fans and the older fans of the comics. Didn't even Want him to be as the green Arrow of the animated Justice league, somewhere between his broodiness now and the justice league would be *perfect!*
PS. I'm like *really* high at this moment. It has taken me 20 minutes to write that above, and I swear to the gods the letters were moving and dancing. I must sound completely nuts.
Green Arrow is my favorite hero ever I call his base the quiver like Harley did when she gave him the idea for it
Quiver is a great name!
Base God then there's just the problem of who's archer and bow?
you mean on the injustice comics
Giraffen Benji i thought od that too when the i read the name in the comic he would be green arrow the base would be the quiver the car would be the arrow and the jet would be the bow
that's in the injustice comics. believe it or not, it was always called the " arrow cave "
The reason for this from what I've gathered is because Marc Guggenheim literally hates the Green Arrow comic series and wanted to make a Batman series, but since he wasn't allowed because of Gotham and the DCEU he threw a fit and decided to throw the entire mythology of Green Arrow out the window and rewrite the character as a dollar bin Batman knock off (it's for this same reason why he killed off Deadshot and Amanda Waller)
+jacob burt Makes sense. But why did he kill of Deadshot and Waller then? Out of spite?
Godzillarex yeah when he found out they were making a Suicide Squad movie he killed off the two of them and cancelled his plans to use Harley. I kinda think that if/when they add Green Arrow to the DCEU he's gonna firebomb the set in a fit of rage.
+jacob burt That makes complete sense! I hadn't put that together. Hahaha
Yeah the worst was Ra's; the whole of S3 was a blatant ripoff. But R'as wanting Oliver as his heir , it was actually because of that moronic prophecy, not because of merit like Batman.
Chrissy M Indeed. CW Ras al Ghul was just a lunatic idiot.
That had to be the most , horrible, convoluted season ever.
Even the show runners was stated their screwed their version of ras al ghul.
Chrissy M reason why it was like that was that it was rushed because they planned to have suicide squad as main villains, but WB started making Suicide Squad movie, so they banned CW from using them. That's why you have that one episode with suicide squad and they kill off Deadshot. So, in lack of a villain, they turned to Ra's cause we already knew about the league from S2.
S3 was probably the best
the only way Batman on the CW will work is if he is on supergirls Earth
He's already been confirmed to be on Supergirl's Earth.
Thomas K96 Batman is from Earth 1 too
my dream show would be the CW make a bat family Show. that starts out with Dick Grayson become Nightwing and Tim Drake becoming Robin Baba Gordon already batgirl. season 2 could have red hood being the main antagonist and later on in the show we could get batwoman Batwing .Catwoman and Commissioner Gordon of course. Stephanie Brown Damian Wayne.. the court of owls can be the main villain for season 3 lady Arkham will be awesome .each episode will focus on one of the different characters . like Nightwing and batgirl relationship Damian Wayne and Tim Drake learning to work together Batman and catwoman so much potential but I do not think it will ever happen ..
I would settle for a Jonah Hex TV show on the CW about him being a bounty hunter chasing bank robbers Train Robbers flashbacks to the war between the states and how he got his face disfigured. early versions of metahumans Ra's al Ghul can be the villain one season since he's inmortal. The Flash and Legends crossover. early versions of Star City Central City. historically people like General Ulysses S Grant Robert E Lee Stonewall Jackson Geronimo Jesse James Billy the Kid the Dalton Gang who else like those ideas?
Thomas K96 And to be honest, I hope they never put Batman on Supergirl. I watch Supergirl, but it's just not a good enough show. They haven't earned Batman. Neither has the legends.
Thomas K96 They could also do the flashbacks in that bat family show, like they did in arrow
Yeah they have several similarities, but Batman is much smarter than the arrow in tv and always being a better detective.
True and batman is a more skilled fighter as well
Batman is the greatest detective in the world.
給 給 Arrow was never even a detective. He wasn't smart at all. He relied on the IT Girl for the detective shit.
You forgot to mention that in Arrow it is a poor portrayal of Batman that Uncle Guggie is so desperately trying to do....
Indeed. arrow is more a man child and a whiner that the real deal. The real deal being Batman of course.
I remember how Green Arrow in the comics and cartoon always made sarcastic jokes and had his own personality ! He wasn't always brooding and angry all the time .
I'm still the best.
lol
Bruce Wayne Of course you are since you are the original and not a second rate.
Bruce Wayne The best at getting tons of PLOT AMOR
RyderC Daniels Batman plot armor is long training, experience, hard word and intelligence. As simple as that.
batman plot armor is being BATMAM!!
one of the season 1 reviews of Arrow was called, "A Poor Man's Batman"... now we know why...
Kiran MVV I hate how Arrow cries like a gay cry baby, Batman is just quite and to himself. You don't hear him but know exactly what he is going through.
Dr Manhattan and Silver Surfer: The Matter Bosses xD
in the comics he was until Mike Grell took over in the 80s and the comic was in the adult targeted label
The Injustice comics represent Green Arrow in a great way. He's witty, funny, likeable, and always has something to say about everything. Hopefully if he's introduced into the films he's like that.
Dante The Demon Slayer exactly
this video was incredibly well done. awesome job
Thanks man! I highly encourage you to watch the rest of the series, it builds up to a very climactic finale
Helena/ Huntress will always be the hottest on Arrow
Agreed. She is amazingly beautiful.
Ha! Hottest? Felicity looks better than her
Tyler Williams 😂😂😂good one
They did her character so dirty. Only appearing in 4 episodes, three of them showing the Huntress? Bro cmon. She’s my favorite Arrowverse character despite barely being in the universe
He doesn't kill.
He is like a mentor to The Flash.
Ra's al Ghul wanted him to take his place.
He had a sidekick who turned bad.
His hacker is disabled.
HE IS BATMAN!
HE IS GREEN ARROW!
Green arrow can't freaking go on a patrol solo now its atrocious
I know. He used to be such a badass! Now he NEEDS Felicity, and all the other people on his team.
Benny Murph yea that's true Oliver should be op tho compared to his team and some other martial artists
You both realise that batman takes robin out a lot too right? And that the second season was him basically trying to train arsenal to be an apprentice so why would he leave him behind. And about felicity she’s basically the arrows Alfred.
Awesome video.... and I too believe that Green Arrow is CW Batman
and maybe I think Oliver Queen is CW Tony Stark too (at some point) because tony also was a billionaire and trapped in a cave and he escaped... when he did he was just like Oliver Queen... became serious than being a playboy spending time in parties... and they became superheroes. Oliver Queen and Tony Stark were attracted to a lady news reporter and in the future episode, Oliver may reveal his secret identity in a press confidence as Tony Stark did. and in both of them they have a secrect organisation called SHIELD and ARGUS.. This is my point of view and i don't know how many people agree...
The Tony Stark similarities are definitely there!
Benny Murph kindof... yes... and Godzillarex yes it is different... Tony didnt plan to be a night vigilante
Adarsh S Stark whats CW mean?
Can people imagine green arrow, with a long beard,A mask with white eye sockets?
And he would be quippy?
That is a dream come true
I find it stupid that the writers of the flash didn't just make the show take place in its original timeline,The particle accelerator explodes in 2020.
It's simple he gets Batman's villains and stories 😂
I prefer Batman. Also great vid 👌🏻
Thanks for watching Kian!
Godzillarex Your welcome.👍🏻
Arrowverse basically
Green Arrow - The Batman
Flash - Superman
Supergirl- Wonder Woman
Huntress catwoman
Very nice profesional video man!
Appreciate that!
While the similarities between CW Arrow and Modern Incarnations of Batman are more than obvious for all the points listed in the video, I personally believe the idea "so and so is like batman", is usually a misconception. Batman originally wasn't the same batman we know today. The modern day idea of batman has been an amalgamation of many dark writers taking darker and more vicious approaches to the heroes they speak about. Batman was simply the first and most popular of these trends of a more vicious persona, and thus any human or non-super hero that is portrayed in a darker and more serious tone is seen as similar to Batman. Examples of this are like Daredevil, Magneto, and Wolverine, who during the 80s adopted the growingly popular anti-hero persona.
How can we promote your post? Spot on, and while GA is heavily influenced by Batman in the show it is not a ripoff. Many amalgamations have been made to accommodate more villains for GA since he doesn't have many "of his own" villains. Green Arrow just didn't become as popular as Batman and there's not as many content of him as other heroes. The whole Green Arrow can never be as good as Batman theory and related inquires. they're both humans, with different strengths and weaknesses but physically they are closely equal. It has been the writers fault for making Batman op or GA writer fault for underestimating him. Either way I love the show and an enormous fan of both heroes. In conclusion if Arrowverse can focus more on the GA persona from comics and bring in Batman I'd be a very happy fan. GA and Batman team ups and interactions are some of the most amazing TV experiences I had as a kid.
green arrow being shit compared to Batman is not a theory but a fact supported by canon evidences.
- Batman has a perfect record against green arrow (4-0)
- Batman has humiliated green arrow several times
- green arrow admitted that he would loose when facing Batman
- Black Canary stated that Batman would destroy green arrow
- People in Star City stated that green arrow is a second rate Batman (in other word green arrow would loose)
- Current green arrow writer pretty much admitted that Batman was better than green arrow
- arrow show runners stated that Batman is better in every way possible (another lost for green arrow)
And the list goes on and on. Batman has proven himself to be the better character by a mile. Read a comic someday and listen to people working over at DC Comics.
Edward Polanco I'm guessing you too were a JLA watcher. I'm glad we agree on this. it has been true that Green Arrow and Batman had similar characteristics in comics, but one is not a rip off of the other. Same reason characters like Martian Manhunter and Superman, who are really similar, are not necessarily rip offs of eachother
Thierry Saint-Jour This is not the comics though. Each writer has their own take on a character and his/ her power. Like how superman's power has varied dramatically throughout the comics. You cannot judge two characters and say for absolute certain which one is more powerful, because it can vary with story. What you CAN compare is character and background and day which one is a better character for your taste.
True Tevatron44. But in the of Batman-green arrow I can tell for sure that Batman is better than him because green arrow gets his ass kicked every time he fights Batman. Heck even green arrow himself stated that Batman was better than him. Batman being more skillful and ''powerful'' than green narrow is a canon fact when you look at the feats too.
And why the hell have they included batman characters and stuff in the show!?!?
My theory is CW really wanted to make a Batman show after their uber-successful "Smallville", but when they couldn't, they decided to make "Arrow" instead. "Fine! I'll make my own Batman series! With arrows, and hookers!"
•Arrow Cave
•Billionaire Playboy
• Parents are Billionaire’s
• Owns a Multi Billionaire Company
• Both left with there city no trace for multiple years (bale left for like 7 years before becoming the caped crusader)
awsome video !!!
Glad you liked it!
the similarities are obvious. I would be interested in an analysis of the similarities between arrow and Hawkeye, as well.
I mean those are just straight up rip off characters like Black Cat and Catwoman or Deathstroke and Deadpool or Thanos and Darkseid.
I do agree with this, which is rather annoying as I'm a massive Green Arrow fan, and despite myself being entertained by the show I find it very insulting to Green Arrow.
They kill Black Canary, Oliver doesn't have the deep empathy that he's known for, doesn't have his heavy liberal views (to the point where he passes a pro gun law), and I hate how he doesn't have his humerous personality. And Felicity is the most annoying character ever!
I find this show to have reinforced the Batman rip off mentality that everyone views him as. I think Justin Hartley (despite the costume) Portrayed the character far better on Smallville, granted Black Canary was a sight for sore eyes. (fishnets do not work in live action).
Thanks for commenting! I'm always interested in hearing the opinions of true fans of the character, as I only know him through how he is presented on the show. I hate Felicity as well, haha, she used to be fun to be around but now she's nothing but a nagging ex wife. If you feel like typing up a storm, how does the true Green Arrow Black Canary romance happen in the comics? I'm very curious, as I know Black Canary as a character has been mangled in the show.
Godzillarex depends on continuity, but usually they met after being fully established as individual superheroes, usually as part of the Justice League. Black Canary generally thinks Ollie is a rich Pratt and Oliver thinks she's a bit uptight, however they usually see past each other, Dinah sees Oliver's drive and motivation and Oliver loves her becuase she doesn't need him, if that makes sense.
While I don't think it's been stated I see it as Oliver is so used to women throwing themselves at him and seeing someone who's so independent and strong makes him fall in love with her. They are kinda disfunctional as they argue a lot, usually ending in the two of them in bed.
I felt that Laurel on Arrow was kinda a darker Lois Lane type character but she quickly became my favourite character, this seemed like a different but cool version of her origin story, with her having to work at being Black Canary. But when they killed her prematurely before they could truly pay all the development off, really annoyed me. This Dinah Drake seems alright, I'm sure I'll get over it and I think she'll become an interesting character but in the back of my head I'm still thinking how they screwed over Laurel and she still feels like a replacement, they keep treating her like a disposable sidekick instead of a partner.
+RobinUniverseTV Thanks for the response! I see where you're coming from now.
I also liked the green arrow when brought to Smallville but you gotta also remember that was a much more up beat show, and rewrote Superman's back story, that show was geared more to get teens and young adults and girls watching the genre..
Supergirl once said his brother teamed up with a vigilante in a bar scene. When they were arguing whether Guardian is a good guy or bad guy. I think she was referring to Batman. She also mentioned Mask i guess.
love the videos man!. im a huuuge arrow fan! i love the show and it was very interesting to see the video you did on how many styles of martial arts he knows!
+Gabe Awesome! I actually just took out a video analyzing seasons 1 and 2 of the show! Check my Analysis playlist to see it!
That is one of the reasons I love the show!He is just Batman with arrows and I can see they were testing the grounds(I see a lot Arrow in Ben Affleck's Batman ).I would to see a big screen Green Arrow, because I know he will be more like the comics(with the humor and all). That being said,I'm loving what they are doing with the CW shows.I hope they don't give up on DCU,I see a lot of promise there. Plus one day a crossover movies cough Marvel meets DC cough(being a huge fan of both) lol... Another great video bro! :)
+kareem toneywilliams Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the video. The Batman similarities are what got me into the show as well.
Cheers! I also recommend you to my dad(he is also studied martial arts) :)
Lol pretty much..Arrow is just Batman with arrows and with a lot of Robin Hood in there. The only thing that separate them is that Oliver has more of a sense of humor then Bruce(which is missing from the show).Which is ok, they can always add that if they put him in the DCU :)
In fact, arrow is a second rate batman.
Dante The Demon Slayer no it’s Oliver queen
you should do a Batman Telltale fight scene breakdown Batman versus lady arkham or Catwoman
Thomas K96 It's Lady Arkham. not Lady awesome. But yes he should do a break down of that fight scene tbh that fighting scene was the most choreographed scene in the episodes.
Thomas K96 Who the hell is Lady Awesome???
David Marrero thank you for pointing out my mistake ..that whole game is awesome
Deathstroke is not solely a Batman villain he has fought the Justice League, the Titans, and even Green Arrow so it counts.
I just found this channel today and i love it. Keep up the good work.
Welcome to the channel! Glad you enjoy my videos. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find it? Which video?
Godzillarex I saw How many fighting styles does batman have in arkham knight first. It was in my recommended.
+crazy Chicken1 Awesome! Thanks for letting me know.
Godzillarex Np
They have made him batman. It's so stupidly stupid. Their family tragedies have always been apart of them though. They have made green arrow the best at everything and waaaaaaaaaaay more skilled than green arrow should be and they pointlessly and unnecessarily overcomplicated the island and his origin. They should never ever have had felicity in the show. And the amount of crime fighters he has recruited is not necessary. His team should only be green arrow, red arrow (Roy), black canary (laurel never ever Sara) and diggle. The amount of character deaths is ridiculous and no one stays dead. I can go on forever. The first season was the only good one but had issues.
Agreed.
You enjoy Laurel more as Black Canary than Sarah? Why is that? Just curious.
Godzillarex well for one, dinah laurel lance IS black canary in the comics. And also Sara was a stupid character and she can't stay dead. And laurel has the canary cry. It's just the proper black canary and they stupidly killed her, but I'm sure in the future she will stupidly come back because no character can die in that show.
KRYMauL yeah
Jade Diamond thank you
I think that's why Batman could work better on Supergirl's earth. To be the dark brooding hero version of earth 38 while on earth 1 is green arrow
Drake Jones Batman does not work on the CW seeing how immature and retarded the characters are on CW DCTV shows.
Drake Jones Dumb!? The Arrowverse is argurably the best Superhero live action shows to date. Batman would be a great addition! Even if it's a animated version like what they did with Vixen.
Thierry Saint-Jour *
Batman is too good for these imbecile and retarded CW shows. May as well call it the Felicity network.
Lmao, really? The Arrowverse has better developement than the DCEU. Your precious Batman hasn't helped that tragic franchise. Batman isn't always a saviour.
Great video.
Orphans. Billionaires by day. Vigilantes by night. A dark general vibe. Trained overseas. No physical superpowers. Lots of cool gadgets.
In summary Green Arrow is a b-tech version of Batman....with a bow and arrrows
Fax
Green arrow has always been the most similar dc bero alongside batman. Heck, green arrow was influenced by batman
6:26. Batman can tell what kind of cigars Black Canary smokes by the roughness of her tongue? Yeah, that's what makes him the World's Greatest Detective.
I just read the title and was like yep
Batman would wreck him though
fun fact...Huntress in the daughter of Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne in one of the previous comic continuities.
Green Arrow isn't a detective, Batman is. Sitdown.
+Volume Dealer ...I already am, I didn't edit this video standing up. Don't believe in all that standing desk hype haha. Also one disimilarity doesn't make all the other similarities any less true.
Yeah, dumbass "sit down" figuratively, you pleb.
I personally love the dark version of green arrow. it's a fresh new take and It's awesome
KRYMauL alright thanks man I'll have to check it out
Also is probably a lot of the basis for the show because in that series when Mike Grell was doing it is where Oliver lost his wealth, and was basically a no super power series..no gadget arrows and when heroes showed up from other areas was usually in the civilian identities. ANd is where he became a more dark character compared to the happy go lucky character he was before
yeah but now they pretty much can't make a batman series and if t hey do it would be stupid cause it used a handful of batman villains and batman and arrow a pretty much the same now almost always serious, trying to scare bad guys, a arrow family, etc and the show can still be dark lol arrow comics can get dark but arrow still has his uniqueness witch is being funny and goofy asf
Really? It took this long to figure that out? Really? Comic book GA is NOTHING like the TV version.
How is he different from his comic book version? I'm genuinely curious.
He's like a happy go lucky smartass for the most part. He has his moments of serious, but CW's GA is the closes thing to Batman Warner Brothers will allow. In the comics, GA has a boxing glove arrow. You'll never see that on the TV version.
In the TV show, he actually used a boxing glove arrow once against Ted Grant.
I like the TV approach they used with GA. Let's be honest, it would be super annoying for him to consantly crack jokes and shit during a 45 minute long sitting.
I love all these Arrow videos!
+Nathan Cady Thanks Nathan!
I'm Batman and you better not fail this city
Arrow was created to be a liberal version of the more conservative Batman.
Also, haven't they teased a Batman crossover with Supergirl?
Yes, I state right in the beginning of the video that they are hinting that Batman exists, but there really is no need for him in the Arrowverse since Green Arrow is the Batman character.
Godzillarex To be fair, Super girl takes place in an alternate universe that so far (I haven't seen any of the new seasons so no spoilers) hasn't had a real crossover yet. I know there was the Flash crossover in season 1, but the Flash didn't even think to mention it in their season.
MoBeeLex He's not the 'Batman' of the CW. Batman being in the Arrowverse would still be great.
"The Flash" established that Earth-2 has a version of Batman and even Wonder Woman. It's been a while since I've seen the episode; can't quite remember which it is.
Lol I haven't seen any liberal shit happening. Stop mindlessly hating
Notification SQUAD
Thanks for seeing it right away! Appreciate it.
I have been seeing so many visual essays popping up lately
This was posted on my birthday
I disagree ... CW's Arrow has nothing to do with batman....only the first season of arrow was interesting........Oliver does not use his mind like Batman does...Batman is better detective....
Alex Aran huh ? Arrow says with the deep Batman voice “you have committed crimes against this city “ he’s literally like Batman lol
Green Arrow is just B-grade Batman, just like Martian Manhunter is B-Grade Superman. Both heroes are used in the comics to stave off overexposure to the mainstream heroes. Green Arrow has always just been Batman with a bow and arrow.
Luke Skywalker no actually. Shazam is no where close to similar to Superman
True and mostly Shazam can be seen as a b grade Batman
Please do a breakdown of the types of arrows arrow has used in the series. u know like: boxing glove in season 3, explosive arrow, usb arrow, triple arrow, grapple arrow or you could do a trick shot montage (because he has been doing to many trick shots in s5)
Wait, a USB arrow?! That's even dumber than his aqualung arrow from an old comic!
I know its weird but the way he fires it (while in the middle of a backflip in slowmotion) looks EPIC!!!
In s5 ep 1 (in the first fight scene)
Where did you find the Batman's helmet scheme?
+Jorge Funes jr The official artbook for BvS
Thank you
I still say Batman is better. And no. Green Arrow is not Batman. Even though green arrow is my second favorite superhero, the arrow and batman are totally different
+Cool Kindriff You gotta admit they share an insane amount of similarities though
Cool Kindriff I agree. I have watched arrow s1 through 6 currently and in the beginning I never thought of him as batman. Sure they both are dc, have no superpowers, and are rich through their wealthy family. But i see many differences still. During s1 i felt like he was more similar to the punisher than batman since he had a list of people to kill for example but still didnt consider it the punisher either. I will admit during s3 i thought it was similar to batman that year having ras and him wanting to become his heir. But i still see many differences over all seasons. To name a few
1. Oliver didnt lose his parents as a kid and most are still alive while being arrow. Instead he was stranded on an island making it feel like lost in flashbacks for me during s1. Sure some have died during s1 and 2 but he still has thea, walter, and william still alive.
2. Arrow actually kills. He has killed plenty of times and still currently kills. He just tries not to overkill like before and only when necessary to him and the team. Like if a person is firing at him he will kill them or someone puts him in a choice that he has to kill he has no problem. But he tries not to kill unarmed people like before. S1 he walk in and say you failed this city and shoot plenty of people in business suits with no weapons of any kind kill them in cold blood. Now in that situation he would just knock them out most likely. If someone did enough damage to the city, killed other people, tried to kill him he would take them down. Even some of his sidekicks use guns. So yeah team arrow kills.
3. Felicity never was a sidekick like batgirl and she does walk again. Arrow has had way more sidekicks to the point it feels more like justice league during s5 and 6 at times.
Sure some similarities but still many differences as well. Batman didnt have his mom around while being a grown-up and still being batman. Oliver dad died and asked him to write his wrongs with the list. But he still had his mom, sister and stepdad. I feel like lots of the villians have been great on arrow and better more tougher fighters than the batman villians. Beside ras and bane i cant think of anyonther ones that are bery tough to take on batman in a fight and possibly win. I still like both but seem to so far like more of the arrow villians compare to the batman villians I have seen in films, shows, and animated stuff or video games. My top 10 favorite arrow villians so far
1. Slade Wilson
2. Prometheus
3. Richard Dragon
4. Malcom
5. Damian Darhk
6. Brick
7. China White
8. The Huntress
9. Cupid
10. Deadshot
My list can change. some i only have higher since some have had more screen time to get connected with where other i still like but we rarely see them. My top 10 favorite batman villians so far.
1. The Penguin
2. The Riddler
3. Catwoman
4. Bane
5. Ras
6. Two-Face
7. Joker
8. Mad Hatter
9. Mr Freeze
10. Scarecrow
Yeah it kind of annoys me how they want him to be batman but he just isn't. Ben Afflecks batman would beat his ass btw. And I don't like how they always use batman villains
Batfleck, Arkham and Comic Batman all would beat Arrow. Arrow is like cheaper, weaker version of Batman and they stole Batmans villains because Arrow did not have as many good villains as Batman.Arrow is also more human than Batman. Batman is human too but a lot tougher than Arrow. He is superior physically, intellectually, by resources, money and tech. So they want Arrow to be new Batman because they didn't dare or have enough money to make Batman tv-show.
Latitz good point
Batman's also a better fighter. Like, he's literally Arrow's superior all around.
Smarter, faster, stronger(pretty much anything physical), more durable, more skilled, more tech, better vehicles, better team, like seriously.
You just repeated what i just said beyond. Nobody doubted that Batman would not be better fighter. He is. Agreed.
But you did leave out that he was better skillfully. I know no one doubted it but I just said it. Just like no one doubted he was smarter but *you* just said it. So calm the fuck down nigga damn. It's a fucking sin to go into detail of what someone else said now?
Wow you know I never really noticed how similar Batman and Green Arrow was. But Now I see it .
Cool! Glad you liked the video.
Batman of course, but adding Batman into the arrowverse would be redundant imo because he would steal all the spotlights from all the characters that CW have built. Maybe he can show up near the end of arrowverse as a farewell gift for the audiences. And Supergirl has pretty much confirmed his existence in the arrowverse by saying "My cousin worked with a vigilante once, lot of gadgets, lot of demons".
Batman is way better
Erin Kaur, totally
nah
I prefer Batman
Dr Manhattan and Silver Surfer: The Matter Bosses So True,The Fake Green Arrow is trash.
i dont actually idk what it is about batman, he is just too dark for my taste...
Dzoni01 are you a Kid?
Blue Magnum stfu
Dante The Demon Slayer stfu don’t speak for me bitch
batman used a voice modulator before batman vs superman as well, in the nolanverse it was a part of his cowl.
+Ashtanu dutta Are you sure? In the nolanverse it sounded like Baleman was always just growling
You forgot to metion his bird themed partner who he constanly replaces when they either die or move on, one of which added a new color into their name after they discarded the mantle.
+SableDuckling 20 Ha! Good one! So many similarities.
Unfurtunatly, the Arrow show have wasted potential and this Green Arrow is a ripoff of Batman.
not really lol, the Arrow show has been amazing, the only bad season was the fourth. Apart from that, the potential was fulfilled
***** What ever, this is your opinion. But you have to know that alot of people dislike season 4 because of the "Olicity Bullshit".
You have a good point but don't except for too much for this Cw show (Flash and Daredevil are still alot much better than Arrow).
By the way, I'm still belive that MCU Hawkeye can Kill this Green Arrow and all his teamates with no problems and without looking at them at all.
Ikr. I'm only watcing Flash (from the cw shows) and I know alot of things about Arrow from the internet. At least Felicity isn't the main focus in the Flash.
Erez Mor Regardless, it's a fantastic show. It is by far the best out of the three DC shows they have on CW.
i prefer batman ofcourse
nah
I've heard in the comics that Arrow is way more upbeat. It would be interesting if Oliver went to another earth in the multiverse and met a version of himself that was basically everything he is in the comics. Then the show can - due to the multiverse theory and there being infinite versions of everyone - do more than one take on the character. It would be a way of addressing the batman rip off that I think people would at least appreciate.
Not sure it'd bring in the views, but as food for thought a great video to do for Fight Scene Breakdown would be James Bond vs Alec Trevelyen in 'GoldenEye'. It's a vastly underrated fight scene with amazing camera work, flawless editing and it feels viciously realistic, you feel every hit. I'd put it above every single Bourne fight.
+Rsfdksh bwtdfgvf I agree! I rewatched the film recently and was surprised at how well done it was.
Godzillarex I admire the hell out of directors who can shoot fights with a lot of close, fast camera movement but still have it totally comprehensible and not shaky at all.
Batman!!!
No NO NO Green Arrow is no Batman there no comparison Batman is a detective knows most secerts
For your next fight scene breakdowns do Mr .Han vs Bullies and Dre vs Cheng (final fight) from the karate kid ( 2010)
the more I agree with the article, the more disappointed I am, knowing the certainty that I would never see a batman tv show
You'll always have Gotham! hahahah... :(
Green Arrow can never be Batman
TRIPLEA Aaron yeaaa no
Someone is burning
yeah swear to God Arrow isn't even close to Batman.
Batman is much better in many ways
It would be really cool to have Batman come in, in Arrow as he is already considered to be part of the Arrow verse. Would they either become really good friends , or become enemies who heave to work together? They are both leaders and heroes with similar beliefs. They would probably end up in several arguments about who should lead the teams and to where and end up in disagreements just because they do not like each other and not because a tactile reason.
I already made this connection without his video 😂. It's kinda obvious just by how they fight and how cautious they fight
Personally, Oliver was at his best when he was killing his enemies.
That is the exact way I looked at things.
Cool! Share the video if you get the chance, it really helps me out!
can you do fight breakdown of obi wan kenobi and qui gon Jin vs darth maul
Planning on getting to it at some point!
i agree with this video. the similarities cant be denied
+Ezufebs Share it with your friends! It's great evidence in case they disagree with you.
Godzillarex sure will
He really gives me batman vibes
plot twist when arrow will end it will be revealed he is a batman from earth 52.
Huntress was also a Batman character in the comics. I recommend NML
hi, this is random but i'm doing the superhero tag on my channel and i'm using the thumbnail of this video coz i point out that batman and green arrow are the same in my mind. i'm gonna be linking your video in mine, just thought i'd let you know
Ok. Just know its not cool to steal other people's thumbnails.
Here's a quick summary of the comment section: people complaining about them being similar and advertisements/spam
I'm fine with the first but I'll see if I can delete some spam, I hate that appearing in my videos.
Also you can argue that in any team up, whether it be with the flash, or a whole group, he becomes the leader of the group. Mainly because he is the most skilled and has the expertise and people look up to him for his wisdom. This is a common trait in the justice league. Batman is almost always a leader, even superman looks up to him for advice.
That's what I thought from the first season. I thought the plot was extremely similar to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy (the only Batman version I knew at the time, as I have never been a comic book fan):
Both Oliver Queen and Bruce Wane had parents die in front of them, everyone presumed them dead while they were actually in 3rd world countries learning how to fight. Turns out they both trained with the League of Assassins members (Oliver being trained by the second daughter or Ra's, as we now see in S05).
Another thing that Commissioner Gordon and Detective Lance have in common: they both have daughters who have joined the vigilante's crusade - Batgirl and Black Canary, respectively.
I completely missed that connection! Great point!
Can you do what fighting styles are incorperated in the assassin's creed franchise and each character like Altair, Ezio, Haytham/Connor, Edward, Shay, Arno, Jacob and Evie please. Thank you!
Planning on doing Ezio at some point! All the others basically imitate him, and he's the most well developed and respected character of the series.
Ok thank you but I disagree the others show their own elements in the series. But I respect your desicion and appreciate you considering this suggestion.
