When you want to skip your tasks of the day, but Amy is reading your mind and is not letting you quit. 🤩

This is what I do, developed after decades - a 15 minute segment of a few moves, on rotation, usually first thing in the morning to wake me up and last thing at night to relax/sleep. September came and we got the call back to the office (formerly remote for years before covid), so 3 days a week my regular routine is toast, and that makes me resentful because I need those moments to function and it's been taken over by 3 hours of prep/commuting! ...breathe... It's been 2 weeks and I FEEL the distruptive difference. So now I'm figuring out at what times to do shortened AM/PM moments and an office rhythm which doesn't keep me chained to a desk all day.

I used to be high maintenance too, so I bought a treadmill for my house, and I use it every day. Great point Amy, who wants to use
grubby public showers when you have the perfect one at home? And plenty of space for fitness. You look beautiful, as usual.

Thank you so much! And yes! Why can't we just use what we have and be more intentional about working out as a whole??

Never in my life have I met a burpee-lover.. :D Have to get back to calendar blocking! (I always tend to put all the small tasks there that gets me overwhelmed - rather than blocking time for a type of activity)

I have always loved Amy’s layout of her videos.. like hard to watch Anyone else’s because I enjoy the way She makes videos..
I am not sure I am enjoying the voice over talking to herself intro that has been happening with all the recent videos
But mostly because like-- isn’t that just a mothers way of living. We always have like 3 voice overs in addition to the child’s input allll at once😅 maybe that’s what she’s portraying idk

Thank you for picking up on the inner voice I have to entertain all day long! It's a little cheesy, but just trying to illustrate the point of the video a little differently these days.

That hit me. I am a control-freak too and CANNOT stand gyms. I will take a look at the co-pilot. Might be just what I need to rescue me from the lack-of-exercise-hole-pit.

I did the same with my “to do” list. I realized that my list was impossible and unrealistic. Example: I cannot wash both my daughters’ hair, help my son study for his math test and grade my students’ assignments and reorganize my closet all in one week. Reorganizing is a project, for one, not a task and hair washing has multiple steps and takes hours. Studying is one on one and repetitious which is unrealistic if Im the only parent at home and grading assignments needs my undivided attention so I must be alone for this. Point is be REAL with your blocking. Be honest with yourself. Is it doable or just desirable👀 Theres a difference.

Start by blocking in your MUST haves in the day. Then one or two blocks for things you want to start adding to your week/day. I prefer adding one item a week and looking for the days you can fit them in. Don’t overload your day or week or you’ll feel it’s too massive of a change. Then, and this worked for me, print the calendar and have it in places you usually will see it. If you work from a computer then next to the screen. If you work outside and drive a lot, then a print in your car. Also, and this was what clinched it for me, set alerts to review your calendar. If you are not used to remembering to check then you won’t. Last and this will make or break at least in my case, take responsibility to break thru the resistance to do it. It’s more comfortable to just stay and not do anything but that won’t change anything either. Good luck!
