Dr. Francis spoke to us about how witnessing an oil spill in 1971 led him on a journey to stop using motorized vehicles and walk wherever he went. This, in turn, led him to take a vow of silence that would last 17 years! This engaging, inspirational speaker demonstrated how one person really can make a difference and encouraged us to continue to do the important work we do.
