DR. JOHN FRANCIS: Conversations + Regeneration with Jason F. McLennan

From 2006 to 2015, Filmmakers David Henderson-Hean and Todd Brooks followed Jason F. McLennan as he unravelled and developed the Living Building Challenge as part of their documentary "The Challenge".
This episode features environmentalist Dr. John Francis "The Planetwalker" in Portland, Oregon in 2009. John's integrity for the future of this planet transcends action. In the early 1970s, John witnessed an oil spill in the San Francisco Bay in which he decided never to use transportation with a combustion engine ever again to protest oil companies. While on his journey walking everywhere he decided to listen and not speak to the people he met to understand them better. He didn't use transportation outside of his own two feet, bicycles and sailboats for 22 years, and did not speak for 17 years.
