I am your 499th subscriber Besides that, I do feel like they made the game a continuation of mw2019 because there was no way they were going to do this again
I think the biggest issue is that Activision decided to prioritize a battle royale and everything else just comes in as a second thought. Weapon damage model really shows this. Edit: My first 1k likes on a comment. Thanks everyone. lol
And they didnt even priotize WZ2 because its INFINITELY worse than WZ1 in everything! They shot themselves in a knee this year, its COD:Ghosts all over again.
I would not say that is the biggest issue since Warzone is also struggling. The true struggle is, they got too many studios working on the franchise, the yearly model is proven, time again, that it is not a good model to follow. There's little to no care for these games due to the studios working on their next project as soon as the current game releases. Why work on MW2 when they got a deadline for the next game coming out. If activision removes this model and have Raven as sole dev for Warzone and Treyarch and IW focus on everything else (Multiplayer, campaign, zombies) without harsh deadlines, players would not be dropping like flies. Let IW have their strategic shooter (its obvious that they want to create a cs like game with how they're punishing movement) and let Treyarch make a good arena 6v6 with an outstanding zombies mode
And original perk system while everyone asked for pro perks back for something else to grind a little for they make u wait for ur perks 😂 and fast hands isn’t no where near effective as the original sleight of hand
MW2 had a ton of great ones too god damn. Both the COD4 maps that were added in DLC and regular maps there were so many memorable ones for me. Not all of em were perfect for sure lol, but it's a ton more than cod gets nowadays :(
And we could choose the maps we played which helped connect people more. I played a few weeks ago and it gave me Border Crossing 6 freaking times in a row.. I'm done, there's too many other good games out there to be committed to a game devs can't treat right.
@Metal Raimon I worked at gamestop at the time, and also played, most people didn't buy the expansion maps or map pack. Map packs had a notorious low adoption rate of less than 30%. There is a reason we left them in the dust. They splintered playerbases. This was compounded even more on pc which has always had small player bases for cod. Paid Map packs are bad.
I really wish half the maps for multiplayer weren't just small cut out bits from the larger warzone map. I'd appreciate some variety in the environments like you would see in the dlc map packs from old games, even bocw had some interesting set pieces towards the end of its life cycle
You realise it’s the other way around right… the multiplayer maps were used to add the locations onto the WZ/DMZ map. Was the same in MW19 with verdansk lmao
@@liamstark1390 still feels like a cop out for them to just reuse assets. Feel the same way when they just chop up larger sections for ground war maps instead of making a new map and calling it brand new content
I always liked the way COD felt ‘somewhat’ realistic, without making it all actually too realistic. MW2 has implemented so many realistic features that make you actually die more.
@@Jules279 inconsistent damage doesn't entale higher TTK. That's always been an issue with most CODs. And how is the TTK higher? This is high to you? Have you played any treyarch title?
@@tomsnowden6201 it's okay to play COD then and then, it's the standard donkey brain "me like shoot gun" simulator. But stop buying these games one after another, that's like buying Fifa for the 24th time. Buy the good ones like MW2019, and MW2. And skip the trash ones like WW2 and BO4
What I hate about this community is that everyone's too addicted to the formula to realize when they're only playing for the dopamine instead of actually enjoying the product. I feel like that's what causes alot of the toxicity in this community. It's just become a cesspool of nonstop complaining. People don't play COD anymore to enjoy the game, it seems. People only play to grind whatever it is they're grinding. The fact that phrases like "quitting the game" exist just makes me sad. It implies that games have become professions to some people. Stop complaining about the game and go play something else.
Bro legit my friends and are I playing shipment and two of them go “look at that guy using gold guns” I’m like “what’s wrong with that” and they’re like “well what’s the point if he’s not levelling it up” and im like “cuz he’s earned it and is having fun” party was silent
I was done about 2 weeks in, i was skeptical because i was already sick of how they were treating mp in MW 2019 and MW2 just cemented my beliefs. shoutout to all the people who worked on all the little things that made MW 2019 bearable and MW2 a good looking game like the weapon detail and movement but everything underneath just makes it not worth it overall
Comparing it to recent cods doesn’t say much. Bo2 was the best. I place Mw3 second because it was the most balanced of an IW game. Which doesn’t say much considering it’s IW
I just wish cold war was on sale so i could get it on PC but cod is never on sale sadly. Cold war looks like the only cod to prioritise fun in the past 4 years

I feel like this game has a big identity crisis. Like the devs want to make a tactical slow shooter so bad but held back by either activison or what fans expect from them, resulting in a mash of ideas. Im writing it here and remind me in a year or two since this was the last cod since blizzard activision got bought the next cod is gonna be massively different under new management. Either we get the most grounded cod or they completely sratch that idea and go back to the roots and honestly as long as it sticks to one thing im curious to see how it turns out.
I hate that we had to earn our third perks. I hate that we have to use guns to unlock other attachments for other guns. I hate that we only had 10 maps at launch The game just got stale really fast. Like u said let’s not forget the fact you can get reported without doing anything wrong they don’t review it and just counts against you. And I’m sure we can all agree. Skill based matchmaking is not fun. We never feel like we get any better. We constantly struggle every time we play even though we may play a few good games
I stopped playing MW22, because I am a casual player, and I don't have patience to farm desired guns by playing stupid guns day and night with pyramid scheme. Also the camera shake during shooting is unbearable. Back to Cold War and Mw19 faaaaaaaar better
I'm honestly very 50/50 on the topic because I've had the chance to see it from a ton of perspectives. I think the lack of focus is a complete fact, but the setting being boring is an opinion. The remakes are a bit much, and that is caused by the lack of focus. The movement is something I'm very 50/50 on and it seems everyone who makes a video talking about the topic wants the game to be faster and the maps smaller or something to that degree. But as I've looked back and played all the previous titles I've personally found that the OG community just wants a skill gap reintroduced and can't find a way to place it. This game, and MW 2019 can be so fast its impossible to react to properly at times, this is mainly caused by very quick time to kill. The maps and the dogshit spawn system are a big part to blame for game pacing from what i can gather. And the skill gap that used to exist mostly existed because EOMM wasn't a thing in golden era COD games, so you could actually notice yoursef rising above your opponents. But when they force remove skill gap by rigging your matches, the OG community desperately wants a way to replace it, and MW 2019 had unintended movement mechanics that gave those players that chance to outplay campers, or to catch players off guard, and got very used to it. As a whole they accidentally made the EOMM matches worse because now players are getting so attuned to that movement that they just don't care and now need something new to latch on to.
The main culprit in why these games are falling off is obv SBMM or a fancier word that you used EOMM which is probably same thing or worse. SBMM is good only for very high skilled players or very bad players( the extremes) and a nightmare for the average players which they make the majority of the playerbase. The average player 1.0-2.0 kdr will be hardstuck in his "elo" and his gameplay skills will stagnate making the game boring really fast. That's what the devs don't understand. They optimized the matchmaking too much
I guess opinion is at the core of everything, And the most opinions that agree gets the prize lol. I think MW2 is straight bullshit and I hope enough people agree to trash this game and go back the drawing board, Or, Trash those pointless side games and buildup on 6v6 and warzone 2.
Semi-realism or arcade-realism as I like to name it is a core thing for CoD; it's something that a lot of newer fans often forget, thinking that later additions to the series are roots of it, and because they started to play them more extensively in their own golden age of gaming/childhood/as a teenager/young adult, they are defining for CoD. You have to be old enough to remember the times (the golden era for many OG fans) of CoD1/United Offensive and CoD2 multiplayer. Reboot from 2019 finally brought me back to the franchise, which completely died for me after MW1, and some 50 hours of MW2 because of too drastic changes made to the formula (or to be precise; flipping it totally) caused by the complete abandonment of the original style, gameplay, semi-realism (it was a good blend of arcade and more serious gameplay, and there were no microtransactions!) and priorities. I'm glad that they are finally back on track with this aspect, but it sucks in all others. Monetization, lack of focus, so MP (that should be in the first place) lacks, etc. It looks like they made it worse for OG and newer fans, so no one is satisfied.
I prefer that honestly. It’s why I played the Battlefield games more since they feel more realistic but allow for wacky fun at the same time. However, 2042 just went over the top for me and it feels straight up arcade dumbassery when it comes to the movement, gunplay, and especially the vehicles.
@@TSL73 2042 isn't terrible but it isn't good, I'll play it cuz it does have it's moments where it's really fun, but I think the last bf game I had fun on for a long period of time and could play for hours was bf4, and it's sad
It was never realistic beyond theme and aesthetic. The issue with newer CODs is that it's becoming part of the gameplay design. No one cares if the game has a realistic atmosphere and theme to it, but when you completely overhaul the games mechanics to be "more realistic" when the game is still very clearly an arcade shooter, it doesn't blend well. Especially when realism is only something used as an excuse to change things that no one wants changed but isn't applied universally. It's funny how "realism" is important when it comes to TTK for example but not important when it comes to aim assist or cosmetics. Either make it an actual milsim or make it a good arcade shooter. There is no world where you can blend these polar opposite genres together in a way that doesn't just annoy fans of either.
@Tom245332 They should have kept working on BF5. WW2 is a popular setting and they have lots to work with. The game might have started out bad, but they gave up on it right when it was picking up and becoming good.
I like that they removed all the insane insane movement stuff. As an "older" player that no longer has lightning reflexes, I can actually keep up and play very well. However I understand the appeal of the movement mechanics for people that are in to it.
@@luciaura666 Nah that shit can stay gone. Movement has to stay organic and not hand cramp spammy. They overdid the movement nerfs but buggy movement tech is not the solution.
11 studios, 3000 developers and its still not better than mw2019, mw2019 was way ahead of its time and i miss it to this day, i would honestly rebuy it 3x the price just to have a chance at re-experiencing it from the start with a big playerbase, and since activision and the other studios are so money hungry, mw2019 is abandoned and ruined by hackers, so its really not as simple as launching the game. edit: this video really blew up though
yep i quit mw2022 3 months ago was 5 prestige got boring real fast i cant believe i wasted my money on that game and i went back to 2019 just breath of fresh air much more fun
MW2019 was completely trash. And I’m an OG COD player who put significant time into the original MW, BO, BO2 (which is my favorite of all time), MW2, MW3 and BO3. I stopped buying COD after BO3 because of the dlc model. But my brother bought and let me download MW2019 for free. I absolutely disliked it and quit it after a week and uninstalled it. The best years of COD are gone. I realized this after BO3, and I was right. Now you have SBMM and a TON of other issues that were not there during the golden years. Glad I moved on and stopped buying it. You guys still fall for the hype each year just to wait for the next game “that will be better”.
@@burnt_toast6225 Here’s the crazy thing. COD could release the absolute best COD in the series this year. A 10/10 masterpiece that everyone loves, and guess what? They will kill the game by releasing more CODs until the player base dies, knowing the new CODs won’t be better than the masterpiece. Releasing more games using the same recycled maps from the golden years. This was the fate of BO2. COD is dead to me.
Can confirm, I've been trying to grind gun camo's but I keep getting the uber huge maps from the museum map to Taraq, border and the expo maps over and over again, since they removed sipment 24/7 almost as of writtiing this, about 3 days ago now, I've only gotten shipment only once. Once, every other map I've gotten is what is listed above. It makes grinding for gun camo's more of a chore rather then a rewarding experience now
I thought the whole purpose of the “MW1, MW2 remakes” was to REMAKE the game, update the graphics, maybe add some guns, remodel the existing maps from the old games. What tf are these maps bro 💀 this ain’t nothing like the MW2 I played as a kid. That’s a major reason I have not bought this game, and have not bought cod games in a long time. It doesn’t feel the same at all.
These aren't remakes, they're reboots. Not sure where you got the idea that these were remakes seeing as we already have 2 remakes of the originals, with MW2 Remastered just being campaign only. With that in mind, of course these games aren't gonna have the same feeling as the games we played as kids, we've grown up and honestly the Battle Pass and post-game content model they've adapted since MW2019 has been weird. On one hand, bundles for cosmetics only are cooland we get free post-release content because they make mad money off of bundles, but now MWII literally has pay-to-win bundles and they fuck with the aesthetics of the games. I miss season passes man
I think MW2019 did justice to the original MW1, It has a similar dark tone to it and when you look at the maps, most of them resemble Cod4 environments thematically. It also had maps like Crash and Vacant and shipment ofc, which were great. MWII is a disgrace to the original MW2. Why does MW2019 have more MW2 maps than MWII? Why is MWII more restricted than 2019 when the point of the sequel is to be bigger and better??
I agree. I think the graphics are better in my opinion, too bright and not as much detail. It's pretty annoying to look at for me. The lack of movement options are pretty bad and I'd say is the worst aspect of the game. Even worse than the Anti-Skill System, which I'll explain later. Since the Skill Gap between pros and casuals are so low now and especially boring. There is no more good Pro Tournament gameplay and the best strats now are to shoot first, sneak attack/ambush/gank, and camping. Which are all uninteresting and boring and most movement is so slow that you can't 1vX players anymore head on. I perfer Slide Canceling any day even if it wasn't the best Movement Mechanic. CoD is supposed to be fast pace with low camping and sneaking.
@@skinnytimmy1 They punish you for getting too good at the game. Visual Recoil is awful to where I don't want to improve my Recoil Control. The Movement Mechanics are bare bones and too limited, like a mil-sim. So I can't effectively kill Campers and Crouchers. And unlikely to outplay Squads as a Solo. The Aim Assist is overpowered especially at close ranges, and yes I know the controversy but it's actually ridiculous in this game. And they have this Anti-Skill System, where they literally nerf your character and weapons so you're more likely to die. Do not give these Fuckers money.
“Slide canceling creates a skill gap” It’s also incredibly hilarious that you can only win when you break physics in order to power slide around enemies until you break their camera.
Thank you for saying this. The lack of content is the only issue with the game, but people who complain about the absolutely broken movement system being removed, that was even described as a PATCH in this video, get on my nerves. This is COD, not Mirror's Edge. If your solution to winning a gunfight is running around bullet streams to avoid hit detection and breaking people's cameras, you just suck at the game. It's not a development issue, it's a skill issue. People who know how to navigate a map, use sound ques, take cover, dive/crouch and aim for headshots do NOT need broken movement. That's for people who brainlessly run around the map with fast guns shooting blind. Skills issue, not dev issue.
@@ImProd Agreed. "We want COD to be more realistic" *3 minutes later* "No not THAT realistic!" xD If they gave equal attention to multiplayer as they do warzone and DMZ- i think the community would be much happier overall. Warzone and DMZ are fine as they are for now.
Who said you can only win because of slide cancel, like he said it adds a layer of skill gap, stop inventing bullshit arguments because you're just bad at the game
Having movement in this aim assist infested game is the only way to not get deleted by a bot camping in the corner with an smg. Without that there’s no reason to get out of your corner and get kills as every fight you take is a 50:50 no matter the skill difference which is boring asf
I couldn't agree more with every point! I recently picked up Cold War for £26 and I have been having alot of fun on it. I think infinity ward have permanently lost touch with their core audience wether it's a publisher issue or not, hopefully treyarch can bring back the arcade this time, but I won't hold my breath. Great video!
Even i hate mw2 more than mw19 but compare it to both vanguard and cold war? I pick mw2 anyday. Sure people have their own preference. But i just feel funny when people use to complain about AW because advance movement speed. Wish it to be boot on the ground and when they actually make a boot on the ground people turn to hate them. Like the heck? For me movements isn’t a problem. Lack of contents is what i felt disappointed. All the weapons are from same branch, they feeling like you use the same gun but different attachments, lack of maps and mod. Over all i love realism in mw2 and that’s the reason why i can’t enjoy coldwar

I agreed with most points, except for the movement part and the "boring" tone. They want to make the MW series a little more serious, and I like that. Most of the player base that started playing COD when they were teenagers are now adults that still like to play games, and most are into milsim related things. So the movement, while still fast paced, is toned down a bit for more "realism", to a point that every part of the player base has a place (I still hate the spam jumping though). That being said, this game has the most tryhard players now, more than ever, and if you play slightly better for a few matches, you get thrown in lobbies with players that are spiked with Adderall, Monster and *will* make you regret playing the game, so maybe this isn't it too.
This is because of no skill gap. When there is no skill gap everyone seems significantly better than they are. If you want the game to feel less sweaty it should take more skill to get better. Greater disparity between good and bad players allows for you to actually outplay people and on the other side of it, it prevents bad players from being able to consistently dunk on you. When the TTK is instant and aim assist does 80% of the aiming for you, it's going to feel like everyone is insanely good at the game. There's a reason older CODs felt better. There's a reason a lot of casual gamers play games like Fortnite or Apex instead despite the very obvious skill gaps. There's a misconception that playing a game casually means the game needs to have shallow mechanics and less skill gaps. I have found that when a game actually allows lower skilled players to be bad at it, it creates more breathing room for the average players and allows them to play casually. As opposed to the game propping the lower skill players up while simultaneously restricting better players which makes it seem like everyone is equally skilled and there's no escaping the "sweats".
Serious? call duty world at war was the pure definition of a serious game nigga. This new game is a laughing stock. It keeps using the same old concept from Sicario. It's boring and it lacks substance
I still play this game a lot but the multiple report into shadow BAN is ridiculous. I can go 7-0 and just instantly shadow banned for absolutely no reason. My warnings are all “offensive chat” in which I’ve had ZERO chat. Still no fix after months Let alone the shadow bans last 7-10 days. They dropped the ball on MW22
I love Cold War. Can’t get my buddies to hop back in, though. It’s got that arcade feel. Maps are colorful, and there are better Operator and weapon skins, no contest. Gun play feels great. Solid game.

I think the biggest problem is like you said with the crossbow. They have all of this content already, but they want to wait to drop it to drag it out, but when its stuff from the previous CoDs it doesn't feel special... shoothouse and shipment should have been in the game day 1. Same with terminal, quarry, afghan, high rise, and all other maps already in WZ but not multiplayer... its like they think doing it this was will make us stay for each drop, but the drops really just stop feeling special
Ive been playing COD since the late 90‘s when it first came out for PC. Fast paced 6 vs 6 is what attracted me to play cod. I agree with you on how they are putting so much attention to warzone. If they go all in with battle royal mode, I’m done with cod as well. Its also true that this game is getting boring as well with lack of content. They actually made things a bit more interesting by bringing in die hard/rambo theme for Cold War but Vanguard almost pushed me and my long time play mates decided to stop playing COD. They are also making weapon customizations waaaaay too complexed. Majority of the attachments are unnecessary and I havent even messed with it. They took away so many player customization aspect of the game and replaced it with these unnecessary customization that no one asked for. I liked making my own player emblem, I want to customize the color/shape of my cross hair, I want to put together my attachments without losing skin that I paid for, all perks should be available from the start of the game… but nope.. they took all of it away. Seems like they made enough money from us and they forgot what got them there.
DMZ was great during the first season but then it got stale af real quick, same contracts every time, same bases, they made the bots so fucking OP, they keep spawning tons of bots all across the map once you make contact with a group of them and they can see you from miiiiles away. The only thing it's good for is grinding the battlepass faster
I tried it, but it felt pointless. I love EFT and dark&darker because there are real stakes in a 100% lootdrop game. DMZ had too many bots, no system to incentivise real looting, no risk, no reward IMO. I'm sure that's just because I'm a tarkov *BOLD* enjoyer and DMZ is more like "Tarkov light- practice mode" because the casual gamer wants no part of that insane learning curve lmao
i was devastated about the bots. In CoD mw 2019 they at least shot rockets at the kill streaks and made it immersive but in mw2 they hide even from all the killstreaks. I love co op games and it sucks to see they’ve trashed PvE for things like raids and stuff, no one even queues up for them 😞
Sbmm killed it for me. I work long hours I wanna come home and causally play but to do better than 0.5 kd I have to fucking sweat my ass off and it gives me headaches.
I was with him until he started complaining about slide cancelling and bunny hopping😂 then I knew that was pretty much the only reason he wanted to make this video
and then you don’t see the point, even without slide cancelling the movement felt faster, and there was outplay for the annoying ahh campers, i legit played mw2019 without acknowledging slide cancelling and i play it the same way i do with. mwII and mw2019 was way faster paced every way

The fact that I should pay 70$ for this game and still have to pay extra for a season pass to get any unique weapons- or player skins are just insane. I actually prefer the loot box days tbh.
Honestly I feel like DMZ is what WZ1 was for MW19 but for MW22. I stop playing for most of this season but came back to it and tried DMZ and it just feels right. The slow pace nature of the game really works well with the game mode. It’s almost as if DMZ was how MW22 was meant to be played just because of how much fun it is. Definitely give it a shot.
as a long time COD and Halo fan. its weird seeing CODs community having a similar reception to the last few cods as Halo players have. and weird seeing that what happened to Halo Infinite (with it being, the most hyped halo with the biggest launch) also happening to COD. I like both these series and wish they'd find their ways back to being on the right path
@@Wake.Up. yeah. And then people say “go play indie games” well I would but most indie fps games are still all hard stuck on 90s era fps. @Scorrect well alright idk bout all that. I dont really care about inclusion of chicks or different races or any of that. Its just the business model and bad management of these games are fucking them up
Halo infinite was a smack to the face to OG Halo 3 gamers. The fact that The game was pretty much lacking all key elements of Halo 3 and Reach felt very disrespectful to me. To this day I still wish that Microsoft shouldn't have let go of Bungie
I loved Modern warfare 2019, multi-player revived my love for it that I had with modern warfare 2 multiplayet in 2009. And then warzone came out, and it ruined it. It's like they stopped caring about the game that revived the series.
I think they should add a gamemode which is made for people who likes fast paced games, in the gamemode there would be maps like shipment shooting house or any other small maps, then you could slide cancel and bunny hop, but idk maybe too hard to make
mins 5:20 - 6:20 pretty much nail my sentiment. thought id gotten a bit older and didnt get the new style. Good to see im not alone. The whole point of COD was the speed. Running around like a headless chicken basically. Last game, i mostly played the 24/7 playlist. Which isnt worth 90 bucks. They've added a new smaller map recently so it helps, but its just not as fun.
I have 36/51 polyatomic camos, this game has been an absolute slog to play. I bought this game because I thought it was going to be supported for 2 years. I regret giving them money so much, they add the same things every CoD, same party modes, same guns, same maps. I am constantly getting smashed every game and refuse to play when they remove shipment 24/7. It's not fun, it's busy work. Who made this? I don't even want to play to unlock orion anymore. So stale and empty it's sad.
If you were hoping for two years of support that's on you. They have released a new CoD every year for the past 15 years. I'm sure there are minor tweaks once a new version is launched, but how much actual content are they going to add to last year's model? Probably little to none at this point outside of warzone changes. They will "support" it, but not in a way that's meaningful in my opinion.
There’s a divide between older cod players who wants things like the first mw2 & these cracked out kids who want to run and slide everywhere. People sliding, running, and doing circles is what made me quit cod.
I've been drawn to the more strategic modes like Prisoner Rescue and Knockout. Some games are fast, some are very slow but fun. Including the reviving in this added another level to Search that I was missing. I am upset that Gunfight took 3 seasons to get here, because that was one of my favorite modes in MW19
I can now confidently say I enjoyed COD: Ghosts map variety and weapon sandbox infinitely more than modern warfare as of late. Y’all remember the sideways skyscraper map? Was kinda ass to play but damn was it surprising to see for the first time, ended up walking around just looking at it. Good times.
The "feet on the ground" setting was also limiting ubisoft on siege, they got really bored of it started getting creative with "realistc high tech" as a concept. Some crazy and fun agents came around this idea, like a kunai that can make a small wall or a high tech glasses that can nulify the light emitted by flashbangs. This is what i love about new siege and what i liked about BO2, they had that little high tech that is not unrealistic in the sense of "we can build that" but is super unrealistic in the sense of "we didn't built that yet"
MW2019 was terrible and even despite how bad some recent CODs are both of the new MWs are the worst games the franchise has ever seen. These two, Ghosts, Vanguard, and Infinite Warfare are probably the bottom 5.
Personally MW2019 was one of my favourite COD's and I really felt it brought back the old COD dna while also being a bit more realistic, and having much more tactile movement and gunplay. The game still felt fast to me. MW2 2022 just feels restrictive in everything that has to do with speed and movement. The movement speed and animations are so slow and punishing that I feel it takes away my ability to react to confrontations. This also promotes a camping playstyle over an aggressive one. Infinity Ward is also so damn stubborn with this and doesn't want to give up ground. This has basically killed the game for me.
I stepped away from this game for around three months, loaded up one morning, 20 minutes later, I loaded something else to play. The frustration of not being able to move in a consistent way, weapon damage being so unbalanced and so, so many sweaty players, who have way too much time on their hands. It feels like this game was designed for the try hards and all day gamers, leaving the casual player, like myself, behind. I've never been a great CoD player, but, at least most titles in the series have been fun, up to Cold War.
One thing I wish happened is that they still kept the wz1 servers alive especially rebirth island, rebirth was insane cuz it was pure arcade-y havoc which was complimented with the movement. They could've kept both servers up (and even update both games) to cater both realistic and arcade-y fans
This, If they're trying to make MW2 into a platform . Rehash the content that matters. For the people that want the fast paced arcade mode, things like rebirth etc. For the people who want the more realistic, put in a game mode similar to what single player offered, like the cqb chapter clearing that house in the dark, and take away hit markers and mini map, and some of the maps modified to fit a realistic gameplay of slower and tactical.
They can't do that because then they will have wz1 competing with wz2. I mean what would you rather play wz1 which has plenty more content and a better map (talking about rebirth island and fortunes keep not caldera) or play wz2 at ashika island which is shit imo
@@dhmhtrhsantwnoloukas4492 I dont play any of the warzones, played a little of rebirth. Mainly played Plunder, and after coldwar came out. The WZ based team deathmatch. While i think WZ1 is the better of the 2, surprised they still support it. Cause you know activision, its all about the latest and greatest crap you should buy.
I was recently shared this game by a friend through game sharing. (Xbox is amazing for that) I just finished the single player campaign. That was the most boring lackluster campaign I have played in a very long time. On the second to last mission I had a glitch where the light particles that are supposed to show up when you're staring at the sun were on my screen constantly; So I had to stare at the ground the entire time to avoid basically having a permanent flashbang, Among other audio bugs and stuff like that. The multiplayer feels flat even by Call of Duty standards (something I've kind of despised since black ops Cold War) I feel like having slow movement is not a bad thing (This is coming from a Rainbow Six Siege player) I like the slow movement however I think there needs to be a nice mixture where The black ops games have really hyper fast-paced movement (which I also really enjoy) But modern warfare being a little more grounded that's completely okay. What's not okay is the fact that DMZ is now officially paid to win because there's now a skin bundle that gives you extra backpack space! Which is fucking gross. In conclusion I genuinely wish Activision would not make a Call of Duty game for like 3 years put all of their dev work towards one phenomenal game! And actually release a blockbuster that is worthy of game of the year six times over! Wouldn't it be so nice to have a Call of Duty game with like 28 zombies maps, 50 multiplayer maps and a working campaign with a really good story!
its my favourite cod game by far... its more tactical instead of running and jumping from corners... u need to approach every map differently and the need to upgrade guns makes everyone not pick the op gun and just run and shoot with it... but most players dont want an actual war game... im surely in the minority because cod players dont like thinking, i grew up with bf and killzone and thats why cod mw2 feels sooo much better to me than the old shitty cod games which were sooo simple and braindead that i was losing interest in like days (just my opinion cod players, dont bite)
@悪魔 today my quad quit and I ended up coming in first and winning the game after they all were saying how trash we were cause we didn’t wanna camp some empty building all game, I won with 18 kills, it’s not a lot but I got 25 a few days back
I was going to write the same comment lol, i remember back in the day i play Battlefield 3 like 6000 hours no joke, i get to a point that certain "pro players" lets say 5 of 10 players of my old squad feel too good to be true, those 5 get banned later. Today playing call of duty i feel like every fking single player play like those 5, almost every single fucking play like a god, yeah i dont think so.

Thought u were gonna say how SBMM makes every match predictable. My stats are decent and I dont mind the sweats. But they said they were gonna work around this which i knew was a lie. Not it mention the overwhelming evidence of the game being rigged. Sometimes I have aimbot, sometimes I feel like someone pushing my aim away. Somethimes I feel like I have a Raygun, sometime i feel like I my AK47 is unpacked on a round 100 of zombies
no bunnyhoping😂😂😂😂😂 dude, i cant understand why these types of games even got the option to hop its useless and allways looks so out of gameplay they should delete this too
I defended MW2019 so hard for so long. Yeah the maps were big and campy but you could overcome the challenges with proper map knowledge and good movement/aim. The gunsmith system was awesome and made you really feel the impact of your attachments. The tone was cool and gave off that 2007 MW nostalgia. Then they dropped MW2 and turned the dominant playstyle into hiding in a corner. They want the game to be both cod and insurgency. Not to mention they refuse to add quality of life changes like a fucking reconnect feature to DMZ and Warzone, in a game that consistently crashes. They took everything from 2019 that didn't work and amped it up, and got rid of or changed everything people actually liked.
I agree I'm burnt out on mw2. I'm tired of playing the same maps. Recycling content is annoying. Ill only get treyarch games from now on. I miss zombies. But hopefully the next season of mw2 has a lot more content.
finally sb thats critizising in a good way. Im having fun though and i think this guy is one of these persons that wouldnt trying to stop me from playing mw2
Something worth mentioning: I stopped playing Call of Duty around the time of Advanced and Infinite Warfare, I found the tech suits jumping around and the sci-fi stuff to be a bit over the top and silly compared to the games I grew up with like WaW and MW1,2&3. Personally, I really like that they’re going for a realistic tone, I find it much more immersive and enjoyable
All you mfs made the same sorta comments on the last COD and the COD before that. I swear it’s the same shit every year with you mfs, game comes out, you play it, it gets old and you get fed up of it no matter what content they put in and say ‘COD: (insert subtitle) was way better🤬’ and so forth. Just admit you guys are just bored of the game and move on until the next COD comes out 😊
@@Devin7Eleven the new WZ is literally just made for roof campers, you have no other option but to roof camp, it’s insane that people enjoy that. So yeah I agree, verdansk remastered would imo save war zone, also get rid of the horrible duo gulag
No gunfight, no 2v2, no 3v3 which were close up there with snd. That server lag where you are already behind the corner and on killcam you are rewinded back and killed. I am on 1g/1g fiber and it sometimes feels like playing on mcdonalds wifi. Drill charge and tactical cameras are cool though.
The game is not boring that's for sure! Plenty of game modes. Some people play candy crush for years now that is boring but yet not for them hence it's an individual motivation to play, not the game.
It's astonishing how completely fine CoDs are their core (especially infinity ward ones IMO) but then 90% of the game design choices are tragic which ultimately makes you play a game you know could be WAAAAY better if they just tried. Or not even tried, just listened to the community. The lack of content/focus (apt observation) is what hits me the hardest. I will not pay 80 bucks for any game to begin with, on principle, I only play this cod because it was a gift and I do like CoD deep in my heart. On top of that they sell you a battle pass for 20 bucks every 2 or so months with skins that are not particularly nice (though some admittedly are nice), and NOW if I understand this correctly, you need to pay more on top of the battle pass to unlock more items? But that's also the thing, I don't understand anything in that game, from design choices to UI, inviting friends makes me feel like a grandpa who's never touched a computer (Steam invites come in clutch tho). But going back, you pay 80 bucks (+battle pass if you wanna) for a game that has fuckall content, plenty of bugs, I mean the game would crash if you got a message and that continued for like 2 months... Some corners of the game are just untouched, like the socials screen for example. But the slowing down of the game is what it's gonna kill it. Looking at old clips, we did move ultra fast in some of the games, perhaps a little too fast, but what we've been having to deal with is just ridiculous. It came to a point where I wouldn't call in my streaks because the animations are so long that I can't do them between the fights, and if I spawn and spam them, I would usually die in the process, god forbid you need to reload your gun inbetween... Also how could they kill warzone... I wasn't the biggest fan, I played it tho, it was flawed but ultimately fun until it got flooded with meta OP builds which made variety non-existent, and then cheaters. How could they take their cash cow and just murder it like that... It just shows how these games are just factory products where probably the most profitable game (mode) by a ton in years just gets half arsed. Literally throwing away millions of dollars because they can't be bothered.
Look, I like the realistic effect, not realism, cause I'd play Tarkov for realism but the realistic visual style and gameplay mechanics I do like to a degree. But I completely agree that the removal of all fluidity broke the last bridge between traditional cod gameplay and complete realism, hence why I will stop playing. They have a great game there cause its a mix between MW2019 and Black Ops, and if the movement was better and content was massively better, I think it would he a great cod, but when have they ever listened
I find the remakes brilliant because it allows me to experience maps that i never got to experience the first time around since i never had any interest in the game until warzone
I've been playing cod since cod2 when i was just a kid and played basically every title later with a few exceptions, cod has a special spot in my heart but i think that i'll put a cross on it forever after this new MWII since it's clear how developers doesn't care anymore about delivering and enjoyable and fun experience, but just focus on producing the most profitable and money-making game they can do. At this point we're just paying for the brand and that's just ridiculous, those were probably the worst 60 euros i've spent in the last few years for a videogame and it's so sad considering how much fun i had with the og mw2. I started to play Tarkov and despite all the flows and really challening learning curve i'm having a blast, and that's because it's a new thing that makes me excited every time i play it, so this made me think that the videogame market today is just a copy paste over and over and we keep giving them moneys to just play the same sh.it every year (just consider cod, fifa,bf,ac and so on). Stop getting scammed by those companies and start to think twice before buying a product, that's how WE as customers can shake up the situation, makes no sense to rant about something and then buying the same game anyway the next year.
I've been looking for a reason to buy this game since launch, and probably even before it launched. Even ON-SALE, I'm still having trouble. I really like MW2019 and just wanted another bigger and better version of it, but this is not it. At least, not yet. Thank you for this, as this was all I needed to come to my conclusion. Great video, it's very thorough. Keep it up!
Just bought it a week ago, took 2 days to install and I play it for like 2 hours and had my worst time playing a COD in over 12 years. Still came out of it with a positive KDR. It’s just boring, nothing to get invested in.
Installed it, crashed my system. Played the campaign and it kept crashing, brought the og mw2 and I've had more enjoyment with that one than the new one.
The worst thing is most just blame SBMM, you simply cannot blame the toxicity on SBMM like everyone wants too. The fact is the WHOLE playerbase is different now compared to back when mw2 and cod4 were a thing. The difference is, EVERYONE trys as hard as they can EVERY game, EVERYONE ONLY plays to win. Back in the old days we did NOT play like that. Probs only 1 or 2 players in every lobby played that way. SBMM will do nothing to fix the fact that EVERYONE is a gamer now, back then only us "nerds" played cod4. I hate seeing everyone blame SBMM, when it is simply not that. Even without it you WILL NOT have fun. Everyone will still try extremely hard compared to then. Even FPS games now that do not have SBMM are still not very fun purely due to the players. Noone and I mean absolutely no-one just plays for shits and giggles anymore and they never will. Now you gotta have the top of the line console or GPU purely chasing that hardware advantage. The fact is everyone wants to win, every game, SBMM will not change that. Nothing will. Everyone trys hard for their streams that literally no-one cares about. There is a difference between being good and smart with big brain plays, and just downright trying harder than everyone else. Everyone always hunts some mechanic they can abuse to get an advantage. Hate to be this guy, those days are dead man..long gone...No FPS will ever be the same till you guys change and make it about just bs'ing around again. Most of the time good games get ruined by the players...
Absolute bullshit. SBMM destroys both the Fun, and the interest in the game. EVERY. FUCKING. LOBBY. IS. THE. SAME. And i mean really EVERY lobby. I don't have ANYONE in my lobbies trying to actually "win". except if with "win" you mean ending the match with ~20 kills by running through the lobby with a riot+melee or rocket launchers. also, for some reason both my first lobby on a day (so called "welcome-back-lobby") and vpn-lobbies are like.... the old times. has to be placebo, because MEHHHHHHHHH IT CANT BE SBMM
@@lunaticwastaken Bro, games without SBMM are still not fun. It is not bullshit. It is the truth. Noone plays chill or casual anymore other than dad's getting off 16 hour shifts. There never will be anymore easy/chill lobbies because there aren't enough of those types of players left. Everything is K/D, W/L, Kill streaks, etc. It's not about just kicking back and bs'ing with your friends..back in cod4 days even if you went 3-45, no big deal cause you were spending time with your friends. That's what it was about. You guys simply don't play like that. I play TONS of FPS games without SBMM(I'm on PC so I have access to TONS) and no matter what, I haven't ran into a lobby that just botted around with friends in YEARS. Dead and gone, truth hurts.

I have around 80 hours on MWII and although I like the gameplay itself, the maps mostly feel lacklustre and the overall multiplayer experience does feel shallow.
Very nicely done Leon. You've put a lot work into your channel. You've earned a new sub. I'm considering starting a new channel that's exclusively gaming. You're hitting on all the right notes, even your shorts. All the best on your journey! Side Note: How are you doing your subtitles in your shorts? Are you putting them in while editing or other sort of software?
Personally, I love the overall gameplay of MW2. But the thing that gets me out of it is the TTK and the maps design The fact that everything seems slow is fine for me as it forces you to play more carefully instead of just run and gun. But as the map design tends to not leave you that much cover + TTK that is way too fast makes it frustrating And it's even more frustrating when you add the fact that you need to travel through those big maps with a slower movements (and it wasn't even necessary that they get so freaking big..)
I have stopped playing because of the shadow banned issue due to sbmm and spam reporting. Them adding sbmm killed the game because a bad player can have 3 great games and a good player could have 3 bad game now these 2 players get put in the same lobby and the bad player gets crushed and he starts spam reporting the good player and gets him shadow banned. The statement COD released was they are trying to keep casual players engaged and with a statement like they truly don’t understand COD.
CoD (for me) used to be about doing the most ridiculous stuff. Knives, shields, throwing knives, ninja defuses etc. nowadays the goal for everyone is sweat and level up weapons. Which forces you to play more sweaty. Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten older and not many of my mates play it now, custom games were top notch back in the day. I saw the sweatiness creep in before this but when Warzone 1 was released back in March 2020 that just ruined it all. I feel people have a fond memory of CoD during lockdown but I don’t feel that way, I played it to cure some boredom. I feel the need people had to level up guns to follow meta ruined multiplayer (IMO) no one wanted to have fun. Multiplayer was just used to progress to then play an even sweatier mode in Warzone. I know people might not agree with me (probably most) but that’s just my take. They will never be able to make everyone happy and I accept that. So even if I don’t like the direction the game goes in next if most people like it that will be all that matters. For consumer and creator. For fun and for money. To finish off, tbh I don’t even know what I would do to change the next game or current game, as I mentioned previously it might just be me getting older. That’s my overall thoughts.
@@dopaminedreams1122 In terms of games made, yes absolutely. Titanfall 2 was a masterpiece and Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales ever made. In terms of content/maintenance of these masterpiece games... Titanfall 1 has been unplayable for YEARS because Respawn abandoned it right before Titanfall 2 dropped, then Titanfall 2 became unplayable because they abandoned it long before Apex Legends even released. And Apex Legends has been starved for continuous content updates since its inception. You get 2 updates in a season, the season release changes (new weapon or new legend, etc.) and the changes after the ranks reset. They patch movement out of the game that everyone enjoys, while ignoring improving their piss poor anti-cheat, every battle pass since season 3 has been a greedy cash-grab where they hold you hostage so you can get the tier 100 skins (which I admit are mostly good), they focus more on making heirlooms and skin events than creating new gamemodes/fixing their matchmaking (in both pubs AND ranked)/listening to player feedback. It took them how many years to give us rotating maps for ranked (not talking about 1 map per split, I mean the recent daily map changes), continuously available LTM modes, decent firing range, custom matches Not to mention, WE STILL DON'T HAVE CROSS-PROGRESSION (which was promised to come in Q3 of 2022 btw) Respawn takes, and takes, and drip feeds content, and the only reason Apex succeeded the way it did is because COD Warzone went through a chronic hacker issue and most of the big names (NickMercs, TimTheTatman, etc.) switched over until the hacker situation got better, therefore bringing over the dedicated COD fanbase to Apex. Anyways to end this essay (lol) Respawn makes fantastic, Game Of The Year-tier games and then abandons them just to min-max profits, all while drip-feeding bad content to their fans.
Everything you say in this video resonates with me. I understand your frustrations and appreciate your thoughtful and intentional criticism. You perfectly articulated the flaws with the movement. It’s why I left. I enjoyed the competition and challenge of the skill gap, but now the game is just stale. I love how you close the video too. It DOES feel weird not wanting to play. I guess all good things must come to an end? I could understand the end of this very good game if there was no recourse for the devs, but when the tools and community feedback to make the game good are abundant, as is the case for this game, it becomes confusing. Anyway… thanks for the video. It’s was therapeutic.
I was with you until you started shitting on the realism theme. I love military gear, tactical shooters, realistic guns, etc. If you're looking for more fortnite-y skins then you could buy the bunny rabbit outfit they just put in the store.

@@BespinGuard1You mean like a Sequel?
I think the biggest issue is that Activision decided to prioritize a battle royale and everything else just comes in as a second thought. Weapon damage model really shows this.
Edit: My first 1k likes on a comment. Thanks everyone. lol
Yea the battle royale is also really bad tho. Coming from someone who has played warzone for 3 years, they did a terrible job on that too.
They couldn’t even do WZ2 right. The changes they made to the looting and core gameplay was unneeded and turned off thousands to the franchise.
And they didnt even priotize WZ2 because its INFINITELY worse than WZ1 in everything! They shot themselves in a knee this year, its COD:Ghosts all over again.
Like I paid for them to support a free to play mode that I did not pay for💀
I would not say that is the biggest issue since Warzone is also struggling.

I feel like this game has a big identity crisis.

Nah, MW19s movement is better in every conceivable way. Also, the TTK in the original MW2 was faster than any of the new CODs.
@@Skrenja it's a matter of opinion, as he said. If you dont like it go play cold war smh...
The game just flat out boring might as well sit in custom lobbies
@@pathway2x65 I just wish they would make a new modern Battlefield and it actually be well made and not the janky half assed mess that is 2042.

What tf are these maps bro 💀 this ain’t nothing like the MW2 I played as a kid. That’s a major reason I have not bought this game, and have not bought cod games in a long time. It doesn’t feel the same at all.

They’re not remakes they are reboots. MW2 remastered was a remake.. lol this game is fun as fuck.
I miss season passes man
They could have just brought back nuketown and failed miserably
I think MW2019 did justice to the original MW1, It has a similar dark tone to it and when you look at the maps, most of them resemble Cod4 environments thematically. It also had maps like Crash and Vacant and shipment ofc, which were great. MWII is a disgrace to the original MW2. Why does MW2019 have more MW2 maps than MWII? Why is MWII more restricted than 2019 when the point of the sequel is to be bigger and better??
MW 2019 is better than MW2.
What's funny about that statement is I made the exact same one, but before mw2022 even released lol
CoD is supposed to be fast pace with low camping and sneaking.
not by much tho, at least in 6v6
@@skinnytimmy1 They punish you for getting too good at the game. Visual Recoil is awful to where I don't want to improve my Recoil Control. The Aim Assist is overpowered especially at close ranges, and yes I know the controversy but it's actually ridiculous in this game. And they have this Anti-Skill System, where they literally nerf your character and weapons so you're more likely to die. Do not give these Fuckers money.

It’s also incredibly hilarious that you can only win when you break physics in order to power slide around enemies until you break their camera.

Cod was never serious and you don't like movement because you suck

I think mw 2019 set our standards high asf but mw2 is still a super great game compared to some cods we’ve gotten in the recent years
Vanguard was more enjoyable than this game.
MW2019 was terrible and even despite how bad some recent CODs are both of the new MWs are the worst games the franchise has ever seen. These two, Ghosts, Vanguard, and Infinite Warfare are probably the bottom 5.
Mw 2019 is one of the worst cods in the series
Mw2019 was saved by the fraudemy
Skill issue
Maybe if you guys quit buying them every single year no matter the quality, they would learn to take a couple years making one really good game
The multiplayer feels flat even by Call of Duty standards (something I've kind of despised since black ops Cold War)
I feel like having slow movement is not a bad thing (This is coming from a Rainbow Six Siege player) I like the slow movement however I think there needs to be a nice mixture where The black ops games have really hyper fast-paced movement (which I also really enjoy) But modern warfare being a little more grounded that's completely okay.
Finally a cod player with actual common sense
I know you just started playin cod💀😂🙏
Cheating killed this game! That is the biggest issue.
I rarely get cheating encounters, I'd say SBMM is more of a problem.
@@DARKCOP2011 yeah I feel you when I’m getting sniped the person shooting rarely ever misses , it’s like when I’m getting sniped it’s a 90% chance they’ll hit yet when I’m sniping I find it a lot more difficult on moving targets far away it’s weird I just can’t catch a break most of the time
For all the complaining about cheating I can't think of a time I saw someone blatantly cheating in mw2... granted I don't play it much. That being said I hate mw2.
The real problem is the call of duty fan base doesn't like change
As I got older I like how they removed the crazy movement. I no longer have quick reflexes and being able to keep up made it more enjoyable. I don’t know I am enjoying this game more than Cold war.
Because this game caters to strictly the bottom 25% of players such as yourself

Thought u were gonna say how SBMM makes every match predictable. My stats are decent and I dont mind the sweats. But they said they were gonna work around this which i knew was a lie. Not it mention the overwhelming evidence of the game being rigged. Sometimes I have aimbot, sometimes I feel like someone pushing my aim away. Somethimes I feel like I have a Raygun, sometime i feel like I my AK47 is unpacked on a round 100 of zombies

dude, i cant understand why these types of games even got the option to hop
its useless and allways looks so out of gameplay
they should delete this too
Most logical people were done with this trash months ago.
This video was absolutely amazing and felt but honestly its time we all just stop playing until they listen and give us what we want.
I agree I'm burnt out on mw2. I'm tired of playing the same maps. Recycling content is annoying. Ill only get treyarch games from now on. I miss zombies. But hopefully the next season of mw2 has a lot more content.
Apparently a zombies mode is coming but idk
finally sb thats critizising in a good way.
Actually we need everything in mw2019 back and verdansk
Verdansk felt like home
I kind of like the movement, I like the heaviness of it and the weapon animations are awesome.
That's only the good thing.
They have a great game there cause its a mix between MW2019 and Black Ops, and if the movement was better and content was massively better, I think it would he a great cod, but when have they ever listened
tarkov for realism? You mean that RPG / arcade shooter without HUD to create illusion of realism? :D

Cod remastered ? Lmfao shit I mind as well slide on there too!!
Agreed, shoot the ship on hardcore was really the best thing MW2019 had.
This video has pinopointed every feeling I have with the game that I couldn't describe
You are just adicted to videogames
Personally, I love the overall gameplay of MW2. But the thing that gets me out of it is the TTK and the maps design
The fact that everything seems slow is fine for me as it forces you to play more carefully instead of just run and gun. But as the map design tends to not leave you that much cover + TTK that is way too fast makes it frustrating
And it's even more frustrating when you add the fact that you need to travel through those big maps with a slower movements (and it wasn't even necessary that they get so freaking big..)
Song its "Home - Native"
When respawn entertainment is a baseline for content you KNOW the industry is in a terrible state...
Wdym? Respawn has been great since they begun?
It took them how many years to give us rotating maps for ranked (not talking about 1 map per split, I mean the recent daily map changes), continuously available LTM modes, decent firing range, custom matches
Not to mention, WE STILL DON'T HAVE CROSS-PROGRESSION (which was promised to come in Q3 of 2022 btw)
Respawn takes, and takes, and drip feeds content, and the only reason Apex succeeded the way it did is because COD Warzone went through a chronic hacker issue and most of the big names (NickMercs, TimTheTatman, etc.) switched over until the hacker situation got better, therefore bringing over the dedicated COD fanbase to Apex.
Anyways to end this essay (lol) Respawn makes fantastic, Game Of The Year-tier games and then abandons them just to min-max profits, all while drip-feeding bad content to their fans.
For me personally there was nothing but good takes in this video. All the best!
