Shri P.T.Rajan went with the Ayyappan Vigraham along the streets in Chennai and I saw this procession when I was growing up in Mylapore near Mandavelli. Now I understand that P T Rajan is actually the father of Palanivel Thiagarajan. Thanks a lot for this contribution to P.T.Rajan to the Hindu faith. Shri P T Rajan followed with folded hands in the streets behind the Ayyappa Idol. Such devotion.

Christian missionaries burnt down the temple in 1950 and were even threatening the devotees going that route. There was an enquiry done and report tabled in Kerala assembly. The communist promised to release the report to public and came to power in 1957. But the report is not made public to date.
