Hey everyone, hope you enjoy the video! Here's last weeks hidden gems episode too if you want even more awesome Wii games to check out! :) ua-cam.com/video/8wXOKJnr2uc/v-deo.html
It blows my mind that Mushroom Men isn't more widely known, that game was so awesome! I never hear anyone talk about it, it's such a shame! Oh, there's also a DS title called Rise of the Fungi! I have it, but haven't got to it yet.
Excellent - There's one I completely forgot about when I left my list before, called The Kore Gang. A very imaginative 3D platformer. Can be a bit expensive, I had to import my copy from Germany.
Finally a game series that I played at the time and LOVED. I absolutely loved the Overlord series. I had no idea that it was basically a Pikmin-like as wasnt aware Pikmin existed. But I still loved the dark humour and the base/castle building mechanic
I always wanted to check out a boy and his blob on the Wii. I found the original NES at a thrift store way back when, when you could actually find stuff like that in the wild for cheap, and thought it was a great concept. Enjoyed the game too, but definitely got stumped a few times.
@Adventure Always haha, I feel you buddy. I mean, the real reason is “time changes everything”. Mass access to auction sites like eBay, where people can see what things sell for is another factor. So many people throw out their recently “old” things in favor of the new, never stoping to consider if might be something classic. I think about this stuff a lot. Right now is the time to collect for old Xbox and to a lesser extent, Wii and ps2. I’m a little sad everything has gone digital. There will come a time in our lifetimes where you won’t find old titles in thrift stores anymore, just a console with whatever games have been downloaded onto it, and beyond that, consoles will probably become obsolete.
Cool Wii video's, some of the best games from other channels/ articles and lists along side some I've either not heard mentioned at all or rarely. Nice channel
Great list I've never played any of them but will definitely pick up alot if not all of these....that marble game looks like the perfect "just one more try" kinda game!
The best thing about Mushroom Men is the soundtrack that was written by Primus’ Les Claypool. He released an album called “Of Fungi and Foe” that featured music from Mushroom Men and another game, I think it was called boar hunt or something. I highly recommend giving the album a listen
Another amazing video full of hidden gems :D It's amazing to hear some tips from a person that loves their games so much and uncover some hidden gems! Definitely might pick up a few from this video, so excited about the wii now! Thanks for putting in the effort to make another amazing video :D
BOOM BLOX!!! I miss the custom levels on the server back in the day. They reminded me of how Super Mario Maker is, some automated levels with a simple trigger and they were a wonder to watch. I've forgotten about it a little but hope to find a way to get them again :)
I never had a Wii ( I was a somewhat bigoted PS3 guy/snob. 🙄) but I had plenty of family and friends that did and I liked the Conduit 1 & 2, plus Red Steel 1 & 2 also liked Wii Island Resort and you mentioned Cursed Mountain in previous video. Yeah surprised you didn’t mention Little King’s Story and Boom Blox was Fun! 😎 What I noticed about the Wii is it had a LOT of Shovelware but every system has that! However depending on the title/game there is plenty of fun to be had! 😉
Calling 2010 is a real hidden gem, so obscure, .. Project Zero 2 is a beaut of a gem also, exclusively remade for Nintendo Wii from the PS2 Xbox Crimson Butterfly releases. Thanks again 👍
Some really cool ones there too mate. Zak and Wiki is a cool game... really bloody hard though. I bet most people cheated to get anywhere on that game!! ;)
Speed Racer is good and cheap. It cost me $5. Back to the Future is a point and click game I bought new for $10. Michael Fox of course has health issues but he still kicked in as did Christopher Lloyd. It's good. Mercury Meltdown Revolution I have bought a few times. People are thieves. But it's around a buck. It's a tilt game with puzzle elements. Finally Spyborgs. By Capcom, it's a lot like Alien Storm on the Mega Drive. I also got that for $10 day one. Wii has tons of great games.
It taught me it takes a loooot of time to record 40 games over the course of a few weeks haha! Honestly it seems to have worked out well and I’ll try it again with the next set.. somehow :)
@@RetroBreak indeed Sir! I just posted a Game room tour on my channel, and I highlight how much my Wii collection is growing, largely due to knowledge attained from these kind of videos 👏

I can never get enough hidden gems on Wii, DS, and 3DS. Keep them coming!
Another hidden gem I just remembered would have to be Little King's Story. If you like Pikmin, it's a must play. Its absolutely incredible!
I like your suave, tempered, and yet enthusiastic energy. You deserve getting more popular.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed them!
THANKS, it's been years since i forgot the name "Boom Box", now i can finally play it!
Great list I've never played any of them but will definitely pick up alot if not all of these....that marble game looks like the perfect "just one more try" kinda game!
YOU USE THE BOX TO PLAY THE GAME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIER LIFE
Thanks! I would love to see 'Help, I've been Shrunk' sometime

Ghost squad is awesome!.. Zak and wiki is a underrated title for sure!
Boom Blox is such a fun party game, glad you highlighted it!
PS. Boy and His Blob was ported to PC in 2016. It’s on Steam.

@@RetroBreak no problem, you totally deserve it with your enthusiasm!
I purchased Spectrobes Origins because of this video you've made, I can't wait to check it out!

Hi. Ive got Lets tap in my collectio but i havent got the boxes. 😮 will i need the boxes to play it?
I discovered 'a boy and his blob' in the Game Boy version. That and Zack & Wiki is one of my favourite Wii games!
I forgot it had a Gameboy version too! Great games :)
you are a hidden gem of a youtube retro channel wtf! i wasnt expecting this picks at all! f great
Thanks :)
I highly recommend Mini Ninjas not talked about but it was a legendary game for its time
Might try a couple of these. Watching this type of video usually results in me cracking open the wallet!

Amazing video 👍👍👍 came from the shout out on Retro Ghetto channel... subscribed! New fan

So I’ve always wanted to try overlord because I’ve been in the mood for another Gauntlet Dark legacy, but I’m not sure if it’s really like gauntlet.
Also I loved way forward’s a boy and his blob. So much so that I went out and found the only copy with the case in a 90mile radius.
Aight 10k subs sounds good, congrats man. Always making quality content and your game suggestion seem genuinely unique!
Red Steel 2 deserves more love, excellent graphics/art style and decent motion plus utilisation and it's very cheap.
Some really cool ones there too mate. Zak and Wiki is a cool game... really bloody hard though. I bet most people cheated to get anywhere on that game!! ;)
Yeah it gets really hard later on!
Great vid! Looking forward to the mister review
The fake reviews bit made me laugh as its something I also did haha. Good video! keep it up :)
Thanks! It was funnny seeing that again after so many years! Of course I gave my own game a 10/10 lol
MLB power pros baseball is a hidden gem to me
Love that cutesy Japanese art style baseball

私が知らないゲームを、このビデオのおかげで、発見できました(^^)
A Boy and His Blob is also on XBone, PS4, Vita and Windows in HD.
A boy and his blob does have a Nintendo switch release that i know of. Not sure if it's supported on any other platforms 🤷
A bit late but loving it
Good one! Thnx :)
Hey RetroBreak, have you seen gman's WiiBoy? Would you be interested in owning such a thing?
Yeah i've seen it, would love to have something like it one day! :D
Oh you wrote Boom Box, lol. You might want to change it to BLOX. lel
What did that experiment on doing 3 vids on the same subject did teach you about your channel? ;)
It taught me it takes a loooot of time to record 40 games over the course of a few weeks haha! Honestly it seems to have worked out well and I’ll try it again with the next set.. somehow :)
@@RetroBreak thx for the answer. :) you do a realy great job.
Iirc overlord is from Dutch developers, but maybe not the Wii version.
Liked your vid before I even watch your video!
Hope the video lived up to your expectations then :D
@@RetroBreak thanks to your earlier wii video, I bought Dewey's Adventure to try it out for myself.
Cool. There are more games like Epic Mickey and Red Steel 2
Both great games!
More money gone...
Thanks mate 😄🤣
Money well spent!

What about gex ?!? That was my childhood I can't seem to find it tho enter the gecko
Hell yeah. MiSTer is based. Love mine
Yeah, amazing isn't it!
Sometimes, obsure stuff is the good stuff.
Indeed! I always have more fun with the less mainstream stuff, so many interesting ideas that never really took off!
>: O You tricked me!
Ohh maybe they are in this video I can’t remember I did a lot of wii episodes last year! Top 15 Wii Games!
ua-cam.com/video/ztAeJOEguhg/v-deo.html
I'm not falling for that again!
I'm pretty sure a boy and his blob is on steam
Yes, it was also released as an HD version on other platforms like the Xbox One and the PS4. I played it myself on the Vita.
That''s great! I didn't know it was on anything outside of the Wii :D Bet it looks amazing in HD!
I just watched a video of Emergency Mayhem, it does not look as fun as Emergency Heroes.

Nice to see some non-American content so we can move past the button mashing mentality.
Americans button mash? Explain?
