This is soooo well done! The comparison screens side by side, your attention to detail to bring the even tiny changes between versions, it shows how much you love this game both OG and the Remastered version! After watching this, I don't need to watch any other comparisons from other channels as I got every meaningful info from your vid! And this is coming from someone who've barely even tried the 1st game! I really hope that this one will bring more eyes on your channel as you totally deserve it! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thank you, Dan! That means far more than you know! I definitely wanted to make this the best comparison video I’ve ever made in the very short timeframe, and wanted viewers to get as much out of it as possible. Glad you really enjoyed it man! Appreciate your feedback and support as always!
best remaster ever?.., almost => hard mode should have been accessible from the start.. ... and now fear MP4 will end up being too easy ... this is what happens, when too many complain about Dread being too hard ... and if we don't complain about MP Remaster being too easy on normal mode, MP4 might just be too easy too (MP Remaster normal mode = what easy mode would have been for the OG NGC MP version..)
The only thing missing in this version are the light effects when firing the cannon beam, in the gamecube version the lights from the beam created shadows and luminescence on dark environments. I hope they update the game later adding this little detail.
It's disappointing they did not keep the lighting from a charge shot down a hallway in the remaster. It looked beautiful in the game cube and wii trilogy versions. Check it out.
Thank you man! I tried to get as in-depth as possible, and provide more of an analysis, as opposed to solely a side-by-side comparison. Glad you enjoyed this man!
Awesome video man! I love Prime sooo much. As a kid on the gamecube version, I played it maybe 6 times and would always get past the boss in phendrana drifts and to the first metroid area where you get the thermal visor but I guess as a kid, going back through the pitch black pirate invested labs, was too much for my young ass haha. I'm now stuck on the omega pirate in the remaster and its been such a nostalgia trip. Once I got further than I ever did, the game felt/feels like a brand new game.
Thank you man! Haha that’s a great memory to share 👍. Glad you’ve been enjoying the remaster, and hope you were able to beat the Omega Pirate boss! Thanks again for checking out the video!
Wonderful video. Words cannot describe how happy I still am that Prime not only got remastered, but that it was so lovingly crafted. I just started to restore my gamecube collection, so I have to subscribe to this channel.
Thank you for the kind words on the video! The remaster really was superbly crafted for sure. That’s awesome you’re restoring your GameCube collection, and greatly appreciate you subscribing to the channel! Hoping you enjoy the content, and come across more games to add to your library across the videos on the channel!
Thank you man! Definitely one of the most intricate videos I’ve put together on the channel so far. Can’t wait to hear what you think when you get your copy!
Pleaseeee make more of these from the entire game, I personally was shocked with the phazon room in the phazon mines near the magmoor elevator, amazing work btw 🙌🏻
Glad you really enjoyed the video! While I won't make a follow up video for this game for future areas in the game, I may do other comparisons in the future on the channel. Thanks again for checking out the video and providing that feedback!
I do agree with you that they made a lot of massive improvements over the original game graphically it looks even better than the original it runs out of smoother frame rate you can tell there was a lot of love put into this remaster it still considered one of the top best games on the GameCube it's easily one of the best transitions to 3D when it comes to the Metroid series and it captures the spirit of the original game so well.
It's like you said, it's all about the art direction. Prime was a technical landmark, but more than that, it's art direction was timeless. Prime already held up so well that they could have totally just went the Twilight Princess HD direction and given us widescreen, higher resolution textures, and more bloom lighting and called it as day, and it would have looked amazing and most of us would have been thrilled. The fact that they went the extra mile to completely redo all the assets with high poly models with gorgeous texture and mapping work, and then on top of that completely redo the lighting engine with HDR, scattering, atmospherics, etc etc was all completely unnecessary, but absolutely appreciated. They didn't just want an HD port, they wanted Prime to be brought up to modern standards and they succeeded in spades - and they did it all without compromising any of the art direction of the original. The only thing we lost were some of the dynamic lights (like from the arm cannon shots), and I have a feeling this was a limitation of the engine. With the new assets and lighting engine, it probably couldn't handle being able to freely spam dynamic light sources all over the room, at least not without losing the locked 60FPS. Oh, just a quick mention about the doors - I saw a comment somewhere that was saying the doors were very likely redone to make them easier to see when playing in handheld mode. Having very colorful, brightly illuminated doors insures you catch them even out of the corner of your eye.
Extremely well said here man. The art direction was in another league, and this remaster went above and beyond what it needed to. However, I also think this was a way to showcase a small sampling of what we can expect Metroid Prime 4 to look like (obviously further enhanced). Good point about the dynamic lights as well. The doors make sense actually if that's the case. Thanks for checking out the video man!
This was a fantastic side-by-side. Many sites and content creators cannot do comparison videos, which frustrates us, the viewers. This was not the case here 🙌🏽. Excellent presentation and really highlights the differences well. Thank you for this, and this excites me more than the Nintendo Direct because you struck the perfect balance between footage and background details of Metroid.
You talk about Retro Studios raising the bar and I'd say the same of you with this video. This is absolutely fantastic!! I was wishy-washy on purchasing this but after watching your video it looks like a must buy. They need to give you a commission lol. This video should be the go-to for anyone who wants to see what this remaster brings to the table.
Thank you man!! I really wanted to showcase just how much of an upgrade the visuals received here, and tried to match up as best as possible with camera shots being 1-to-1. Glad you really enjoyed the video!!
Thank you man! I definitely wanted to be intricate with the editing to show those improvements properly. I know we'll get the other MP installments remastered as well! Thanks for checking out the video!
I think it lost a bit of that dark industrial grit it had esp the lava crust and how the doors open . They should have kept a bit of crusting , as for the doors they did lose flavor but atleast they open now with ease. This game is the best looking remaster I've ever seen ...I freaking love it! I also still love the OG style, for its day it was WAY ahead of its time. PS. I agree , that muscle memory with the visor and guns really messes with my head too. Awesome review man 10/10
There's a hidden control option for the dual stick aiming. You can enable Splatoon style gyro aiming by going down to camera options. Unlike Splatoon, you can still use the right stick to look up and down, which I feel is mandatory for gyro aiming since prime doesn't have a reset/recenter button like Splatoon, but I personally prefer it this way. I hate taking my thumb off the stick just to reset myself when I could actively do it by looking up or down on the right stick.
I am so glad this original game just got remastered and I really do hope they'll do the same thing for Metroid prime 2 echoes and Metroid prime 3 corruption.
@@GameCubeGalaxy unfortunately inward unable to get a copy. Now its being scalped lol that's ok worst case scenario I can get it digitally, but I'll wait a little longer
I was really worried when talks about the rumored Prime HD Trilogy turned into just a Metroid Prime Remaster. I personally feel that Prime 1 is still a perfect game, especially in terms of looks. When this was announced, I was stunned and hyped but worried that the original vision would be lost as is the case with most remasters but holy hell, seeing this in-depth comparison really puts any concerns I had to rest. This remaster is a textbook definition, and looks stunning with all the little details they added and preserved. I'm really hoping it sells well enough and that the 2nd and 3rd Prime get the same treatment. You did an impeccable job comparing these two versions GCG, I love it!
The remaster truly is the textbook definition of how a remaster should be. Aside from the fetch quest at the end of the game, this game is pretty damn perfect! I can easily see MP2 and MP3 remastered releasing throughout this year as well. Glad you really enjoyed this video man!
Definitely need a physical copy for this one. Glad to see they went all out with a full remaster but changed nothing other than adding detail and a control setup. The Dead Space remake is almost this good and we have RE4 remake coming soon. Seems like remakes are hitting their stride right now this year.
Hope you were able to nab a physical copy for this! They really went all out on this! I cannot wait for the RE4 remake next month as well! Thanks for checking out the video!
I cannot add to the comments here. Great comparison video on my favourite game of all time, and it's got me so excited to start playing the physical version coming out soon.
you think they'll add the light back to the Energy blast? I was also disappointed that the flame thrower didn't cast light across the walls during that boss fight...it seems that the new Retro Studios that worked on the remaster forgot a few details. Also the vapor from the energy blast makes more sense. If you're shooting the lava gun, then sure, have smoke come out, but the energy blast is a ball of energy, thus it would probably make things hot, but not smoke.
This comparison just confirmed my decision to pick up the remaster despite recently picking up the original & not having played it yet was the right call. This really seems almost like a remake at this point with so much change to everything but the game design or gameplay, which like most Nintendo games doesn't need to be changed.
Glad the comparison helped solidify your purchase for the Remastered version! It does look more like a remake than a remaster, but that's a testament to the level of work the studio put into this remaster. Thanks for checking out the video man!
I'm definitely getting the physical release, I hope the sequels get the same treatment. The way this game turned out with the redone graphics and controls is a very welcome surprise.
Hope you were able to get a physical copy! I can easily see the sequels getting the same treatment, and feel we'll see them released throughout the year. Thanks for checking out the video!
So to note: the Scan Visor being on the right of Visor Select is only on the Dual Analog controls. I played with Classic Controls and it was in it's right place, to the left of the Visor Select :)
Good to know! I never really played much of the Prime Trilogy on Wii, so I missed that addition back in the day lol. Thanks for sharing that info, and checking out the video!
13:03 Here's one part of the dual stick controls that is very easily missed, however: There is an option under camera controls to turn on gyro, so that you can use your controller to aim the camera just like Splatoon, making dual stick by far the best way to play this game.
I haven't played the original but I still would like to. This video was very well done and no one knows the ins and outs of the GameCube like you do. I'm not sure I'll get the remaster... probably just comes down to what will version will be cheaper when I decide to play the game. Metroid is one series I really want to explore soon as I've only played the NES version. Great video, I appreciate the effort that went into making it. I for one, still think the original holds up very well but I also understand the spark for excitement.
While I still recommend playing the original, nabbing this Remaster is absolutely the way to go! Glad you really enjoyed the comparison video man! The original is still a masterpiece, but the work done on the remaster really is impressive. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
Nice break down of some of the differences. I'll pick up the remake when I can find it cheaper. 40 bucks for only the first game seems a bit much to me. The remake looks great and I hope they give the rest of the trilogy this treatment.
That visor switch messed me up so badly at first I spent like 10 minutes searching the menu because i was convinced there just had to be no way you couldn't switch it. 😂
Haha apparently if you play with the Classic GameCube control setup, the Scan Visor is placed back at the original D-Pad location. Not sure why it was changed to begin with lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
That's correct! It was just missing from Metroid Prime on the GameCube in North America, but was added to all the other versions afterwards. Thanks for checking out the video!
Metroid is coming back strong. I've yet to experience the Metroid Prime series. I've played only the traditional platform or Metroidvania games. I enjoyed Metroid Dread, and I'd like to 100% complete everything in the game. Thank you for the video.
Agreed! You're in for a treat when you play this one for the first time, especially with this remaster. Metroid Dread is still my favorite Metroid game personally, as the gameplay was flawless, and LOVED the counter system. Thanks for checking out this video!
Masterpiece, nice video too, im having a blast wit the remaster, here in latinamerica the gamecubes games were too expensive so i have to get it second hand, good memories with the original and wii port too.
Appreciate the video! You really took the time and went over the small details instead of just basic side by sides. Really great work! Can’t wait to play it when it comes out physically in a couple weeks.
Thank you man! Yeah, I really tried my best to capture many of the small details, and analyze them, as opposed to only doing a side-by-side comparison. Glad you enjoyed it man! You’re going to love this remaster when you get it!
It really does look like a brand new game! If this is how Metroid Prime 4 will look, then I’m very excited for what awaits! The physical version will be amazing to have as well (have mine pre-ordered too. I bought the digital version specifically to get this video out asap 👍. Thanks again for checking out the video!
This is a very detailed comparison that I really appreciate. Definitely feel you on the scan visor messing with your muscle memory. I will say this; maybe in the near future you should have someone read over your scripts for grammar and syntax. A lot of weak writing moments that distracted me from your content.
Amazingly well done comparison! This is exactly what I was looking for, so thank you for highlighting even the smaller details. Pre-ordered my physical copy just yesterday. It'll be worth the wait.💗
Thank you! Glad I could provide a more intricate analysis comparing the 2 versions here! It’ll definitely be worth the wait for the physical version. Thanks again for checking out the video!
I really hope if enough people buy the remaster and give good reviews that this will somehow create a full remastered trilogy of Prime and lead into a fabled Prime 4
I think the remaster will sell incredibly well. Honestly, I can see them rolling out Prime 2 and Prime 3 throughout the year, and then Prime 4 next year (hopefully). Thanks for checking out the video!
one thing I dislike about the remaster is that they kinda messed up Ridley expression at 7:11 he has a sinister smile in the GameCube version but I can't really tell what his expression is in the remaster.
The darks in your capture are super crushed. The game doesn't look that dark if it's set up correctly. I've heard of this being an issue for people. I don't know your particular setup, but make sure you have HDMI color range in your Switch settings set to "Full", and also make sure your TV and capture card are set to Full. That should fix the crushed blacks. I also noticed on my end, when I preview on OBS, "Limited" looks better, while "Full" looks flushed. So there may be some finagling you gotta do in OBS to make sure the dynamic range is preserved.
its killing me that i have to wait until march to get the physical edition here in denmark, but this one i just can't have digitally. i just hope we get 2 and 3 and 4 on switch or the next nintendo console
The wait is almost over, and it'll be worth it! I can definitely see Metroid Prime 2 & 3 Remastered happening throughout this year personally, as this has done exceptionally well so far! Metroid Prime 4 I can see as a launch title on the next Nintendo platform though. Thanks for checking out the video!
I double dipped and got the download and a physical copy coming from Amazon. ( probably the 5th time I’ve purchased this game in my life) Anyway, I’ve been playing using the dual joystick controls and I think they could be better. For some reason they give you 2 separate dedicated fire buttons AND 2 separate dedicated buttons for jumping ( 3 if you count the morph ball jump) YET!!! For some dumb reason I have to use a button combo in order to change my weapon?
I was really enjoying the dual-stick control method, but the motion controls was where I gravitated most for me. They could patch the controls a bit more based on feedback I’m sure, which I feel this is a way for Retro Studios to gauge some tweaks to consider and apply in Metroid Prime 4. Glad to hear you picked up both the digital and physical version! I have the physical version preordered as well, as I couldn’t pass up having that in my collection. Thanks for checking out the video!
You didn't talk about missing projectile lights. In the original, your beam projectiles emit light. In the remaster they don't. It's quite jarring in dark areas. (By the way, there is no technical reason for this oversight, if the morph ball can emit light in the remaster, projectiles should be able to as well.) Holding a charged up shot would also illuminate around the end of the arm cannon. Also, you didn't talk about the mirror that doesn't reflect Samus. Not a big deal, but it's a meme at this point. ua-cam.com/video/cdtrZlOt08U/v-deo.html There is a bug where Thardus can get stuck in a corner inside the wall and it softlocks your game. (I hope they patch all these.) More things: When you arrive on the Tallon Overworld in the original, there is a lot more rain. / The arm cannon freezing when charging the ice beam looks a lot better in the original (you can see the ice forming from the tip to the base). I hope I don't sound too harsh because, beside those oversights, I quite enjoyed the video. You have really great comparison shots. Thanks for making it!
Inevitably, I knew there were comparisons I'd miss in this video, as I tried to cover a variety of areas, and wanted to get this video out ASAP. I do wonder if the lighting effects for the projectiles and charge beam would get patched in. Glad you enjoyed the video despite the oversights! This was definitely one of the more intricate videos I've put together on the channel lol. Thanks again for checking it out!
Metroid prime original is my favorite game ever I always gush about the original graphics The remaster does look good but I don’t own a switch I don’t know if I can justify spending money on a switch just to play this
Yeah, I didn't have any issues with the door appearance in the remaster either. I thought it was an interesting aspect to point out. Thanks for checking out the video!
What about all the omissions? Less rain, Less snow, less stars, less debris, lack of shooting illuminations, when she grips her gun it was more prominent.
Here's a relatively comprehensive list I whipped up. All things considered, there's not a lot of large gameplay changes, but the ones that are here are pretty welcome. - All changes from the NTSC-J, PAL and Wii versions are present. Scan jump's still patched, the hint system takes longer to kick in, missiles don't kill ice troopers, Fission Metroids spawn in the Phazon Mines, Spring Ball, etc. - The remaster lets you choose from four control schemes, with plenty of customization for each: - Dual Stick (modern console FPS w/ options for Splatoon-style gyro aim) - Pointer (a gyro-based approximation of the Wii controls) - Classic (based on the GameCube control scheme) - Hybrid (based on Federation Force's Option A scheme) - The physics themselves are changed a bit from the original, presumably as a side effect of the engine updates. - Samus's arm cannon now fires a burst of shots before it starts charging, like Hunters. 3 shots for the Power Beam, 2 for Wave and Plasma, 1 for Ice. - The Scan Visor and X-Ray Visor have their button mapping and HUD position swapped in Dual Stick and Pointer mode. - The Spring Ball has a dedicated button in all schemes (like PrimeHack), though the Wii method still works. - Blastcap poison clouds no longer deal continuous AoE damage and dissipate almost immediately. - The Ram War Wasps in the Hive Mecha fight attack more aggressively and the center platform now has a proper staircase. The fight overall is less of a slog. - Puffer poison clouds don't last quite as long. - Some other enemies seem to act slightly more aggressively than other versions to compensate for the Dual Stick and Pointer schemes, but it doesn't change the game too drastically. - Collision seems to have been updated a bit. - Out-of-bounds "aether" physics no longer exist (instead of being able to float upwards, Samus will fall to her death)
I still cant comprehend how the tegra x1 is years and years old hardware and still with nintendos knowledge they bust all these graphics out. Imagine what they would do with the power of a ps5 or one x... Its such a shame that nintendo doesnt release something beefy instead they went the cardboard road.
Nintendo is on another level when it comes to showcasing visuals regardless of the hardware. They really showcase what can be done even with restrictions. Thanks for checking out the video!
....ok maybe it's worth the $40 I still don't like it though... also, do you know how much of the gallery stuff is stuff brought over from the metroid prime trilogy? That's my main question right now, how much is flat out new and how much was used from that
also not to disagree, but the control system on the wii is why never beat metroid prime trilogy, I hated how it turned changing visors from a click tap of a button to open a menu and choose it.
I’m not sure how much of the gallery stuff is from Metroid Prime Trilogy, or brand new. The character gallery would be all new considering all the assets have been remastered with better lighting and more detailed textures. I’d have to look into the Gallery of MP Trilogy to compare. Interesting how you didn’t like the motion controls on the Wii version of Metroid Prime, but I do love that this version has many control options to appease all fans of the game, as well as traditional FPS fans. Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy I dislike more clicks for stuff, especially when it's something you need to switch out a lot, like one of the reasons I actually dislike loz Link's Awakening, is how often you need to pause to switch out the load out, it's just so start and stop to me I get frustrated.
The best part it’s 40 dollars that’s insane and I’ll probably pick this remaster up I do own the OG but I want to expand my switch collection this would be a great pick up and first time playing too
It's worth every penny! So much care was put into this remaster, and even owning the original, this is well worth getting still! Hope you enjoy it when you get the game man! Thanks for checking out the video!
This for me is on the level of the Demon's Souls remake. They took what was already there and just enhanced it in every way. So happy I have something to care about on my Switch. I've beem lacking in things to play that I personally love, and them stealth dropping Prime out of nowhere, and it looking and controlling this good is a dream come true. One of my favorite games from one of my favorite consoles.
Very well said. It definitely is up there with the Demon's Souls remake in terms of how drastic of an upgrade it is visually. Hope you're enjoying this remaster, and greatly appreciate you checking out the video!
My personal feel is this is a bog standard FPS. Metroid needs to be 2D Metroidvania not a lame FPS, it was terrible then, terrible now. One of the worst games in the Gamecube library.

I hate taking my thumb off the stick just to reset myself when I could actively do it by looking up or down on the right stick.
Interesting to note! Thanks for sharing that, and checking out the video!
I am so glad this original game just got remastered and I really do hope they'll do the same thing for Metroid prime 2 echoes and Metroid prime 3 corruption.
Waiting for the physical release! This is my favorite metroid game, cant wait to play it again!
Hope you were able to nab the physical copy man! Thanks for checking out the video!
Incredible upgrade. So the base gamecube code is till there? Must have been difficult to upgrade the polygons
You can tell a ton of work went into this remaster, but appears to be the same code overall. Very impressive stuff! Thanks for checking out the video!
I cannot add to the comments here. Great comparison video on my favourite game of all time, and it's got me so excited to start playing the physical version coming out soon.
Thank you man! You’re going to love revisiting this game when you get the physical copy! Appreciate you checking out the video!
I will go and be planning on picking up this remaster when it comes out physically next week.
Sweet! Hope you enjoy it when you get it man!
you think they'll add the light back to the Energy blast?
Correct! I spotted that after the video went live lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
The increased amount of details on screen, more choices for control, and even better sound? This remake was worth the wait.
Absolutely! This set the bar for remasters! Thanks for checking out the video man!
I never played the GameCube version, but the Prime Trilogy version on the Wii definitely does have the "Data received" voice.
Good to know! I never really played much of the Prime Trilogy on Wii, so I missed that addition back in the day lol. Thanks for sharing that info, and checking out the video!
13:03 Here's one part of the dual stick controls that is very easily missed, however:
There is an option under camera controls to turn on gyro, so that you can use your controller to aim the camera just like Splatoon, making dual stick by far the best way to play this game.
Thank you man! The rest of the trilogy will look amazing remastered like this, and I think we'll see them throughout the year!
Thanks for the comparisons!
Sure thing! Glad you enjoyed the video!
The only thing missing is a better save system and dynamic lighting from the weapons.
It's tempting to get this remaster just to experience the new graphics
It's definitely worth it in my opinion! Thanks for checking out the video!
Suit narration was added in the NA version of Metroid Prime 3, I think. I know it was added to all 3 games for the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, that game really is a masterpiece, and remaster was done with a ton of care. Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy thanks to you man, i still fight with my muscle memory with the missile and scan visor, hajajajajaj.
I mean, it just looks like a brand new game. I’m so stoked to get the physical version soon…
It really does look like a brand new game! If this is how Metroid Prime 4 will look, then I’m very excited for what awaits! The physical version will be amazing to have as well (have mine pre-ordered too. I bought the digital version specifically to get this video out asap 👍. Thanks again for checking out the video!
You can also turn on the narration that was removed from the US release in the sound options
The suit narration is from the international version, iirc.
Thanks for checking out the video!
one thing I dislike about the remaster is that they kinda messed up Ridley expression at 7:11
he has a sinister smile in the GameCube version but I can't really tell what his expression is in the remaster.
Amazing video. Thanks man
Thank you man! Glad you really enjoyed the video!!
Fantastic video!
Thank you man! Great appreciate it!
Just like to watch old games, but have never played on GameCube myself. Not really have a favourite
I greatly appreciate you checking out this video!
This looks amazing!
It really is! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Can we get a video for the Baiten Kaitos Remaster Collection as well? This is awesome.
I may explore doing this for Baten Kaitos as well, although I still need to play those games on the GameCube! Glad you really enjoyed this video!
Great video and very well done sorry took me a bit to get around to
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
i need Metroid 4 !!!!
Same here!
The rain isn't bouncing off the arm cannon at all in the remaster lol. Ot just lands and slides
( probably the 5th time I’ve purchased this game in my life)
Anyway, I’ve been playing using the dual joystick controls and I think they could be better.
For some reason they give you 2 separate dedicated fire buttons AND 2 separate dedicated buttons for jumping ( 3 if you count the morph ball jump)
YET!!!
Unfortunately the beam weapons feel a bit flat in the remaster. They have very limited or no light, so they don’t interact with the environment :/
Not a big deal, but it's a meme at this point. ua-cam.com/video/cdtrZlOt08U/v-deo.html
There is a bug where Thardus can get stuck in a corner inside the wall and it softlocks your game. (I hope they patch all these.)
More things: When you arrive on the Tallon Overworld in the original, there is a lot more rain.
Metroid prime original is my favorite game ever
I always gush about the original graphics
The remaster does look good but I don’t own a switch
I don’t know if I can justify spending money on a switch just to play this
5:34 I prefer the new version of the door, it looks better in the remastered in my opinion. Maybe it was intentional.
Any gameplay differences?
I finished PrimeHack with mouse+keyboard like 3 months ago so I'm probably gonna skip this one (for now)
Here's a relatively comprehensive list I whipped up.
- The remaster lets you choose from four control schemes, with plenty of customization for each:
- Dual Stick (modern console FPS w/ options for Splatoon-style gyro aim)
- Pointer (a gyro-based approximation of the Wii controls)
- Classic (based on the GameCube control scheme)
- Hybrid (based on Federation Force's Option A scheme)
- The physics themselves are changed a bit from the original, presumably as a side effect of the engine updates.
Game Cube very good
The dual stick controls and the gyro lack the accuracy of the wii which is disappointing but its not a big deal
Thank you
Sure thing! Glad you enjoyed the video!
....ok maybe it's worth the $40 I still don't like it though...
also, do you know how much of the gallery stuff is stuff brought over from the metroid prime trilogy?
That's the exact same reason I never completed MP3 but all the others. Damn Wii mote controls only.
Gyro aiming is not flawless my experience is constantly hitting the calibrate button as the gyro wanders the aim in whatever direction it wants
The weapon no longer lights up dark spaces
The best part it’s 40 dollars that’s insane and I’ll probably pick this remaster up I do own the OG but I want to expand my switch collection this would be a great pick up and first time playing too
It's worth every penny! So much care was put into this remaster, and even owning the original, this is well worth getting still! Hope you enjoy it when you get the game man! Thanks for checking out the video!
I like the original parasite queen more. It looks more scary. The new one looks like a generic insect to me like it's design is stupid
Hey 👋
I think I prefer the original
Subbed for the giveaway
Much appreciated! Hope you enjoy the content on the channel as well!
Definement
GC Metroid Prime's tank controls are shit.
My personal feel is this is a bog standard FPS. Metroid needs to be 2D Metroidvania not a lame FPS, it was terrible then, terrible now.
One of the worst games in the Gamecube library.
This is one of the most idiotic comments I have read in a long time lol. Go touch some grass
Purchased digital day one getting two early physical copies this Friday.
Awesome! Hope you were able to nab those physical copies! Thanks for checking out the video, and hope you're enjoying the remaster!
