    Very good advice!! Thank you!
I am one week out right now and I usually enjoy staying home and relaxing….but I am almost to the point of cabin fever right now and feeling lazy. Lol! Thank you for reenforcing me doing nothing and just focusing on HEALING!!

This is very informative, thank you! I am considering a face/neck lift and upper eyelid surgery, but the downtime is making me nervous, as I am a yoga instructor. How long realistically could I go back to teaching, if I am not "doing" the poses, just demoing? I'm talking a gentle yoga, not hot or vinyasa yoga? Also, after the first 48 hours, is it permissible to walk at a slow pace on a treadmill (i.e. 3mph)? Thank you, you do great work!

For people that work out, including myself abstaining from that is one of the hardest things about recovery. When you do a face lift, you don't want to be doing any reaching over your head or heavy bending or lifting. you can begin light cardio at two weeks, but for yoga, I would recommend waiting a month I know some people do it at three weeks

Had upper lid, facelift, eyebrow lift, neck, forehead: a week tomorrow . First week I really don’t feel like doing any ( pain, numb tired) . Covid really help since there won;t be any temptation to go to the gym ( here in the Bay Area everything is still closed). By this Sunday I will work on “ stomach vacuum” which really helps with the abs without raisin pressure in the upper body and face. You can find many vids on UA-cam about this abs technique.

@Outspoken-from Ibiza thanksfor asking! Iw as basicaly a rag doll for 2 days (surgery was long so it tokk 2 days for the sedation to get out of my system).
So far even with the bruising , I can see that Dr Weil did a fantastic job!
these are some tips for people interested in doing the full package like I did:
      - make sure that you have at list 2 people to carry you from the car to your bed when coming back from the surgery! I am not a big guy ( 5.10 153), but the ladies at home really had a hard time moving me to the bed. Going upstairs will have been totally impossible!
      - i slept on a recliner armchair : no way you could side sleep in there ( which I was told i tried to do in the waking bed at the clinic) . The armchair can be inclined to the perfect position so your chin is up all the time. It's also verysave as the arms are holding you sideways.
      - staples behind the head are painful when resting on them: firm memory foam pillow will help
      - just drink protein cans ( you don't want to mess with fixing any shakes during these days); drink from a straw !! ( no neck movements)
      - use probiotics pills and drink a lot ( for regularity)
      - do your icing regularly! at least the first 2 days, have someone positioning the bags where needed ( neck , eyes, back head, top head, in front of ears)

I had a facelift 2 weeks ago. I've been walking around the neighborhood several times a day slowly equaling 3 miles a day since day 4, does this seem safe?

Does age have anything to do with this? I am 17 years old and just had cosmetic surgery on my face 2 weeks ago, and would love to play lacrosse again soon.

One MUST not put any strain or stress on ANY post surgery muscles......face, knee or foot. Pain is your friend, it will tell you when enough is enough of whatever you are doing. Pain meds mask your friend(pain) so better to bite the bullet for this kind of surgery unless you’ve.......had some kind of total total face surgery orrrrrrr knee replacement or hip replacement. I feel that the first three days after surgery ( day of surgery being day one) yes pain meds but that’s about it. One needs to feel pain to understand limitations. Joe i wish i were closer to your office! I would be a revisiting client.....its all about maintenance.
