    I’am getting more excited; I’am working out my caregiver situation and I’am almost to the point of calling to setup my consultation. I have made my mind up that Dr Joe is the only Doctor I would enjoy saying did surgery. He has won my confidence by showing his extensive work on UA-cam. I’am 60 years old I feel that Age could never define our personality. I will not allow age to cheat me out of looking as well as I feel on the inside. Thank you Dr Joe Niamtu for all the videos and hours of your time invested in them . Your amazing

    Wow! You're quite the artist🔥! So excited to meet you! I'm a little concerned with your comment about the middle part of the face not being affected by the facelift...I HATE my smile lines whenever I smile...which is why I don't ever smile lol...I was hoping the face lift was the answer ugh. Really hope there's an answer during my consult with you😉. Maybe all I need is cheek implants combined with the face lift and that'll do the trick...Im a hot mess😅😅
    Where are the costs for the comprehensive facelift? How much is the first consult? Thankyou for being so amazing and sharing your incredible passion and skills with the world❤💯!

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  6 місяців тому +1

      You can't believe everything on youtube. When you have an operation at the hospital, they use general anesthesia because the patient will be comfortable and the airway is protected. Some doctors do twilight anesthesia or say they do but in fact it is general anesthesia. If you are sedated with twilight anesthesia and I ask you a question and you are unresponsive, that is general anesthesia regardless of what someone calls it. The problem is that your airway is not protected if you vomit, aspirate, get blood in your mouth, etc. Twilight anesthesia is OK but patients can "wake up", feel discomfort or just be uncomfortable from lying for so long. As long as you are going to an experienced doctor and they are accredited then you are fine if you are OK, with being half awake. I can guarantee my patients that they will not feel or remember anything and in my experience most high volume facelift surgeons use general anesthesia with a provider. I did twilight anesthesia in my early career and still do it from time to time with small cases, but for facelifts, I feel my patients are safer and more comfortable with general anesthesia.

      @@dlppl3407 I went in to have a fresh look nothing out of the ordinary, but I came out looking different from what I look like. Not only that, the corners of my eye are pulled down, he left a hole on half of my forehead that he had to add Botox to make my forehead even, I had to go in ones a week so that he can take blood out of my right cheek, he left my face round like a Chipmunk, I have a scar on my right side of my head so large that my hair could not cover it, and he had to reopen the scar to make it less visible. It’s still visible. The scars behind my ears are very visible and bumpy. I can feel the bumps when I touch them. I can see the scars under my eyelids. Since he pulled my forehead back, eyebrows look wired, and above my right eyebrow, I have a bump, different from the left one. He also left visible scars on the corners of my eyes, and the surgery lasted 8 hours. My skin in very noble, and it heals petty good, and the scars have gotten a little better. Dr Niamtu, I am 3 weeks post op from a neck lift, I had A LOT of excess skin due to weight loss. My surgeon still has me wearing compression bandage, it is normal to still have some wrinkly skin under my chin? She did some liposuction as well. I am very concerned that under my chin isn’t smooth. Thank you.

    Dr. Niamtu, look at patient at 26:40, and the few after, I notice deep nasolabial lines. What can be done during face lift to get rid of those? Also, have you ever done successful forehead and lip implants?

    • @jniamtuiii

      Nasolabial folds can be very difficult to improve. Lifing, filler or fat injection are the mainstays.

    Doesn't the incisions in the hairline cause hair loss? Dr. Simoni does face lifts while the patient is fully awake, like with Abbey Miller from dance moms.

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching. Properly done hairline incisions do not cause hair loss, only those done wrong. Yes, some docs do facelifts awake, not sure why anyone would want to do it though. Most high volume facelift practices use IV or general anesthesia. What ever works best for surgeon and patient is a good combo. None of my patients would want to be awake.
