I've watched OKOCHA since I was 11 years old. He was then playing for Eintracht Frankfurt. In my opinion he is the most technical footballer who ever put his foot on the ball. A wizard of the round ball, unique in what he did on the football field. A player like JAY JAY stick in your heart. Long life, maestro! You'll always be my number 10.
Thank you so much kayvaldo. I first got introduced to jayjay in a football magazine by masteroudes in 1993/94 before the nations cup by one of my big bro. The title of the article was "the kid dynamite" with a spread of okocha with his huge thighs about to hit a ball and I have followed him ever since. I kept weeping years before he retired because I knew I was going to miss him and I am weeping as I write this, remembering the joy he gave me. I hardly watch football anymore because they now just cones on the pitch playing triangles...no originality, no surprises just stale football. They give it to us now.like hungry dogs, as long as you are hungry you would eat anything...no taste, no spice, no colour...just some dull shit. Football as a I love it is gone because of the arrogance of the coaches, who value their formations more than the game. Thank you so much for these clips, never seen most of them before now. So I salute you for the depths you went to unearth these gems.
Okocha has to be greatest football ever for me. He’s in that breed of once in a generation type of player just like the likes of Messi. He was really good, he was one with football
@@kayvaldo u deserve national award honestly,Jayjay owe you some debts of gratitude, what pained me is that Jayjay played some breathtaking football in the 1990s for super Eagles unfortunately most of those clips were never made public by the NTA who owned the rights for nigey football broadcast then, most of those skills, goals will never see the light of the day

Definition of natural talent, flair, and gifted. Jay jay okocha is a once in a lifetime generational player. In the modern era, only neymar comes close.
Waaoooooowww!!!! Jay Jay Okocha. So good they named him twice. People keep relating him to Ronaldinho, but I think Jay Jay and Zidane are the two most gifted players. Why did I say so? They are not the fastest players compared to the Messis, Ronaldos, Maradonas, etc But their body feints on the ball are strange and second to none. Feels like they are dancing to a music. The other GOATs still look like they are working hard when they dribble, but for Okocha and Zidane it looks effortless. They dribble even without touching the ball, just by body feints and dummies. In a situation where Robinho or Ronaldo Nazario will use 3 or 4 dummies or stepovers, Zidane and Okocha can do with one or two moves. Thats why they are two of a kind. Even when you watch these legends in their most recent charity games as mid-aged men, Okocha and Zidane still stand out. That shows they are two special players amongst the best. Even their physique and movement as middle-aged men did not change much compared to their mates all looking fat and chopped up.
Okocha is so underrated. “Underrated” as a word is so saturated that we forget the true meaning. Okocha is one of the greatest in my book. It’s my book so I don’t argue with anyone. Pochettino said he played with three “geniuses” namely: Maradona, Okocha and Ronaldinho.
I agree with you bro, but to me Okocha took dribbling as hobby. He will dribble you and wait for you to come back for more. I watched how he disgraced Man United legends especially Roy Keane and David Beckam
JayJay Okocha was so good. He was an extremely brilliant player. I wish he were a “dribbling” coach, the same way we have “throwing” coaches, so he can coach players on how to master the art of dribbling 👏👏

Jay Jay Okocha should have played for a place like Real Madrid or Barcelona 😢 I'm sure he would have won the Ballon D'or twice..... He is better than Ronaldinho
I'll leave my story man: my first contact with Kanu's football was on your channel and I was shocked, this suggestion came to me because I really appreciate your videos and it would be epic, just like this Okocha video, no one has honored his career to that extent, If you find enough content, you would be the first to do it like in this video, he was a surreal player with incredible moves and had all the attributes that would disable the opposing team, an underrated playmaker who knew how to use his height to his advantage (I'm also high - 1.92 - and, incredible as it may seem, I also play football and very well, I know how to play in any position on the field, even as a defender, I learned disconcerting plays and developed my style of play by reproducing what I saw in these underrated stars by the UA-cam together with my brother, the one in black in my profile picture, I'm the one in the jacket, he destroys football, and I also surprise everyone who plays with me anywhere and, in that sense, I identify with him even more)
He admitted that he doesn’t like doing a lot of skills except if they are winning by atleast a 2-goal margin. I always wondered the number of skills he would be displaying if he didn’t care about if his side was winning comfortably. See even the elastico at 0:56 This guy is just on another level. History will never forget the Magician. So good they named him twice.😭
he did a lot more in the national team even without the 2-goal margin. In the late 90s Nigeria was still far better than most of the other teams so he could afford to do that. In the '98 world cup qualifiers for instance, we won most of our home games and he did the rainbow flick in almost all of those games. He made the last 10mins of home games special because he would always do some crazy flick or embarrass a defender.
