Not sure why it was necessary. There's really only one lesson to learn from either, and real life already does it just fine. "If you see a businessperson do it, then it's stupid." End of lesson.
Thank you. If I ever found myself isakai'd into a Galaxy far far away I'll be sure to invest wisely. Even in a setting with cults of creepy ascetic space wizards, being rich is still the best super power.
I mean that how the Sith survive and adapt, by being rich. Bane and Zannah stole Brotherhood of Darkness accounts, Tenebrous was a starship designer and was rich, Plagueis is a head of the galaxy bank, Sidious is a politician, Maul stole account of a mining baron. The Banite Sith knows that being rich and influential is key to their Grand Plan.
Right??? But then you have to ask why that never happened. Because the people at the top, surely don’t want a bunch of investors to get a piece of the pie too. Ignorance is their weapon.
If I had a million credits I would invest in Basra because it’s something almost every military uses and it is also the main medical treatment for severe injuries in Star Wars. Also Kuat Drive yards would be good to invest in because I might get discounts when I go in to buy my small fleet of frigates… the frigates of course would not be used to go against the New Republic in a Cold War.
If i lived in star wars, i would be a scavanger, there's many battle droids, ship parts, abandoned droids, blasters, crashed star destroyers and many more lying everywhere, would sell this stuff and make profit.
I've always wanted to see a Sith Lord based on Darth Vectivus but cranked up to 11, effectively turning into Darth Bezos. No ships, no armies, no massacres. He'd build an empire out of pure wealth and thus create a conundrum for the Jedi because his terrible deeds (laying off millions, foreclosing on entire planets) would all be perfectly legal - and if you can't solve a problem with a lightsaber then the Jedi are pretty much useless.
+1 to that idea. Imagine he also some how dug up some of the Jedis debt or some how financially trapped a religious order. That would be a hell of a headache unless you had a Jedi economist or shell company running around.
Where would a being in the galaxy spend those credits on a vacation...... The best vacations in the galaxy should be a new topic........ And to all the humans would you travel to any of these places given the opportunity
It's funny, out of the various channels that I watch, Star Wars Theory, New Rockstars, Screencrush.....this is the one that I literally wait on bended knee for. Thanks for doing what you do Alan. Love this channel, and love your videos.
Idk why but I’m right there with you. There’s something about Allen’s content that draws me to it. It’s more in depth without diving too deep into lore.
I prefer commodities exchanges. Invested heavily in gravity a few eons ago, and have not regretted it. Every galaxy has it, needs it, and even stores a bunch of it at its core.
This has the same problem as in real life. You need to invest a lot of money. Once invested, you are set for life. But most people like me just don't have any savings/money to invest. We're barely breaking even on daily expenses.
A question I have for generation tech with all this new information for writing around about the galactic Stock Exchange two different companies the effect of Bounty Hunters and such and all the new stuff we have on the first order and the final order what does affect the Old series of the versus series Republic vs Empire VS first order there was too little information to go for the first order in its first run so is there now enough and new information toward a new simulation
Yes! These are the minute details that lore nerds wish to know. Thank you for going into this subject, and I hope you find content to further explore similar to this
This is by far the best niche channel for star wars stuff well this and geetsly’s but alan and Gtech have carved out a really nice niche for us. Would watch this any day over cnbc lol. Probably not responsible but at least i know how to contextualize it based on my watching Gtech vids
I actually invest for a living right now. Specifically cryptocurrencies. I can definitely attest to the fact that you probably won’t get very far with a standard 9-5 job and creating opportunities for yourself is a bitch and a half. But it’s either that or die poor, so… good luck.
I am probably going to end up as homeless squater in the Star Wars universe. Because I am somewhat financially challenged. Like when it comes to my own savings and earnings yah I am fine I split between saving and spending. I do understand budgeting. But when comes to investing in other things I don't have a clue and I might just get ponzy scammed by someone that claims they are financial expert that wishes to work in my best interests but basically rob me of all my hard earned money. Its bad enough in real life but star wars has these issues dialed to 100 lol.
If I were a average joe in the star wars universe (like I am here on earth) I couldn't afford investing into those big industries, so, I'd just eeke out an existance as said average joe, and die poor and forgotten but atleast the friends I made would remember me, right, right? Oh well, I'm dead whats it matter...
The problem with this video is that it didnt tell me what options that expire tomorrow that are worth .01 galactic credits I should blow my life savings on
Ok so after seeing you talk about the emo kid of Han and Leia I remembered a retcon I wish they could retcon Billie Lords character aka Carrie Fischer’s daughter in real life. I would love them to make some adjustments turning Lieutenant Connex lords character into secretly being the second child of Han and Leia just hidden away from the galaxy especially Both Ben and Snoke/Darth Sidious!! And Leah I’ve been secretly training her so well that even Ray couldn’t feel the massive force signature of Lords character!! So that way after T.R.O.S. Rey isn’t alone!! Now with this new Jedi that learned everything Leia k
Allen what about the futures market? Wouldn't investing in resources such as thorrilide, doonium, etc be a good idea? I'm pretty sure that was how Count Vidian made a lot of his money.
Commodities trading is too risky… unless you know that the rebels have a secret plan to destroy the Death Star and can predict a huge increase in mineral prices as a result
Remember even you, yes you can make money on the stock market. That is unless you and many others pool your resources together through public communications using publicly available information to purchase stock on a company that a hedge fund is shorting over 100%. Then no you can't.
Using Star Wars as an allegory for reall life and giving one of the most comprehensive lessons on economy I've ever seen.
Not sure why it was necessary. There's really only one lesson to learn from either, and real life already does it just fine. "If you see a businessperson do it, then it's stupid." End of lesson.

The Jedi and Sith aren't Space Wizards though. 😏😏😎😎
I'm just going to do crime! New Galaxy new me! 😆😎👍
@@UnexpectedWonder yes they are maybe more like space clarics but close enough!

Did we just get a real life financial advise in the facade of star wars? Lol I love this channel
When Gen tech gives you a better lecture on economics then your high school did.
Your high school gave lectures on economics? Fancy.
Right??? But then you have to ask why that never happened. Because the people at the top, surely don’t want a bunch of investors to get a piece of the pie too. Ignorance is their weapon.

I learned more about economics in this video than I did in my entire high school
If i lived in star wars, i would be a scavanger, there's many battle droids, ship parts, abandoned droids, blasters, crashed star destroyers and many more lying everywhere, would sell this stuff and make profit.
Let me guess:
BlastTech
Kuat Drive Yards
Corellian Engineering
Mining Guilds
Palpatine: I am the Senate!
The Muuns: We are the Banks!

Unfortunately Disney doesn’t want to shoot their billionaires friends in the foot like that.
If I lived in the star wars universe i'd probably be too dumb to understand any of this, yet still playing some role in it.
“Sand versus everyone else” 😂
Where would a being in the galaxy spend those credits on a vacation...... The best vacations in the galaxy should be a new topic........ And to all the humans would you travel to any of these places given the opportunity
Teach me how to be Star Wars Elon musk and make a million bajilion dollars
Gamestop is still the best stock to own.

Hopefully I can get some money back after a lot of gambling and to many deathsticks
Coruscant will be fun planet to live on
The wolf of coruscant 😎
I prefer commodities exchanges. Invested heavily in gravity a few eons ago, and have not regretted it. Every galaxy has it, needs it, and even stores a bunch of it at its core.
And thanks to the hawking radiation, galaxies will always need to refill their gravity storage
And this is why concentrating the economic power of the galaxy within a single system is not a good thing.
Thanks for the financial advice. I should buy lots of banking, pharmaceutical, and weapons stock. Lol
This has the same problem as in real life.

Please make a video where the galactic republic with the jedi attack earth
Invest in medical "spice" good & bad...you'll get that condo retirement on Canto Bight

Times to Invest:
Kuat Drive Yards - Before the Clone Wars
Exegol Shipbuilders - Once the Empire Falls
High Ground Incorporated - Always
I would also invest in the CEC and Industrial Automaton.
Eh Kuat Drive Yards isnt on the Stock Exchange. Its a Private Company. Do your research. Bad Generation Tech.
Yeah.. an I imagine that's part of how Palpatine made his fortune.. playing the stock exchange an hedging his bets...
Yes! These are the minute details that lore nerds wish to know. Thank you for going into this subject, and I hope you find content to further explore similar to this
If Star Wars had crypto currency
This whole video was one big allegory, and I love it. Great job guys!
You make a compelling case for investing in these companies. Any chance you have a stock ticket for each of them that we can follow?
Follow up Viedeo: Should Star Wars turn communist
Buy Kuat stock and dump it immediately after the Battle of Endor.
Hello there friends welcome back to another episode of Generation Tech, my name is Sand
Damask holding was plagius company
The Banking Clan will sign your treaty
I appreciate it man now I’ll invest wisely
This reminded me to check on stock I forgot I owned. Thanks. :)
Honestly, I do love how these videos hold lessons on how the real world works.
This all sounds very familiar
"F*** Sand" - Allen, 2022
I'm gonna pretend I understood that
Can you do a vid on the best place to live in the Star Wars galaxy
The Empire REALLY poodooed the bed with Kurt Systems Engineering and the Incom Corporation.
This is by far the best niche channel for star wars stuff well this and geetsly’s but alan and Gtech have carved out a really nice niche for us. Would watch this any day over cnbc lol. Probably not responsible but at least i know how to contextualize it based on my watching Gtech vids

The Houte Hutt is a large service and delivery service. Death Stars R Us is a growing company with a force full leader.

San Hill can’t run Damask Holdings, since he’s dead. Vader killed him on Mustafar.
Say what you want, I want some metallic republic credits!
Great video ;)
kuat drive yards is basically the taiwanese semiconductor of the galaxy
So you're saying buy AMC, GameStop, and Disney? Gotcha
Man do I love getting insightful commentaries on the US eco… I mean Star Wars Economy.
Wow
stonks

So what you’re saying is it all went to shit when they started using centralized banking? Interesting
You know how much money does the entire Star Wars galaxy have?
Good thing there is no real world equivalent... /sarcasm
Sounds like what was aragorns tax policy but better
tldr version: galactic credits = bitcoin; really great summary

Knows and learned from her mom!!
“This is a very profitable business model”
Not sure how I missed this video, great content as always.
Not me learning about economics from a starwars video 😂
I would invest in Dac Shipyards
Borrowed money is cheaper, there is no tax on borrowed money 😬
anyone know the blaster used in the thumbnail?
Bacta? Pfffffff give me Kolto babyyyy!
Hey you know what they need in the galaxy? NFTs
Take Star Wars and replace with Our World
this will definitely make me some passive income
Basically it's hard to maintain a galactic economy.
This video is sooooo Underrated!!!
It'd be fun to do the same breakdown for The Old Republic and High Republic eras, see what changed, and what stayed the same.
the GTN broke the economy.
Jesus Christ loves you bros
Love the video very creative idea
Hell yeah fav host 🤘
excellent video sir
This is brilliant you tricked Star Wars nerds into learning about real life lmao
Lol
"Fuck Sand"(hahaha)🤣
Under the Galatic Empire the wages of the bottom quarter of human income grew faster than the top quarter.
I’d still go with Sienar, but let them get more high end since I know they are more then capable
Han shot first!!
I agree F**k sand
Star wars stonks
Awesomely clear and relatable top own galaxy. Thanks

Ok, Fett episode 2 was leagues better than the first one.
