- I found this Metal Detector on Amazon for $26.
I would only recommend something like this if you are a complete Metal Detecting beginner and can find one for a very good price.
I wouldn't pay over $50.

If you enjoy the video.. give it a thumbs up. It's free. :)
let's go let's go treasure and adventures. I had a $50 amazon metal detector when I started off. I got plenty of garbage out ... and a few treasure. ✌👵
That was great fun. I’d love to see a series on this making $26 please
Perfect machine to keep in the truck for the kids that always seem to follow me around at the parks.
I had a whites from the 80's. Ran on 1 9v battery. You could set the sensitivity and get 6 to 8 inches on a quarter. It ran completely on sound.
Keeping my eye out for a good priced used Whites machine to give a try. I know they were a great company back in their day.
@@TreasureOutdoors They were arguably ahead of the times. It's sad they fell behind in the market.
It's pretty easy to make a simple detector that works decent for cheap. There was a detector out about 20 years ago that had all the electronics in the headphone. Was marketed for water hunting or relic. The older detectors the volume gets lower the deeper it is. That why people used headphone originally was to hear those whisper signals that were deepest.
I really was surprised by the modulated tone! 👍
Great video fun to see different machines
Man a series trying to pay this thing off would be awesome!
Went out for a second hunt! Going to try to get the video out on Wednesday! 👍👍
it did really good for the price. id love to see more cheap ones vs name brand stuff. you earned a sub, i like your vids keep up the good work.
Great idea! "Pay Off the Pyle" series. Be interesting to see how long it takes.
My first metal detector is a $6 Bounty Hunter I bought at Goodwill. I still have it, and 7 other machines 😊. Nice, entertaining video, Austin. Wear gloves!
I would love to try out a bounty hunter soon, heard those are some of the best performing cheap detectors. 👍
@@TreasureOutdoors my first detector was a Bounty Hunter 3300 and it was great at finding stuff but was prone to false signals at higher sensitivity.
Looks like a real good one to start kids out on👍😎🤙
I'd say for 26 bucks not bad at all. Appears to even have a decent recovery speed.
Sound good. See how long it takes to pay it off. Perhaps even include some beach detecting.
Goes to show you that you dont have to spend a $1000 on a detector to find stuff. By the way.... As of this post, the Amazon price is up to $86.48 now. Enjoyed the vid!!
Great video I live in Massachusetts and looking for old coins on farms and old trails
Brilliant job hope your week gos really well and have a brilliant weekend
I'd watch the break-even series. I think you could pay it off in 16 episodes.
That detector is based on Gary Storm's Head Hunter pro Detector, an excellent detector although it was expensive, and not very deep, but it could detect gold chains in salt water where others could not. The electronics are from Fisher and are still used today. I think the problem with that detector is the coil, which is easily replaceable.
That was a fun video. This detector looks perfect for a child. Super light weight, easy to use, and almost unbreakable. All for $26. Heck yeah! 😎
It surprised me!! I thought for sure it'd be a dud... now we'll see how long will it last? 🤔
Great video! I'd like to see other cheap metal detector tests also.
I still have a $20 detector I need to bust out, not sure I can even find a rusty nail with it.... 🤣
Amazon price today is $73, you got a great deal. Your video drove up the price, lol! Yeah, ready for episode 2 of the payoff.👍
This detector is based off the detectorpro headhunter machines that was an improved version of the fisher aquanaught 1280x had em both a few of the headunters and i enjoyed both and they always seem to have a certain ping on anything copper
What about silver coins and depth?
I've got a Fisher 1280 it pull 9 rings out of the water this year I used it more than my mind lab 700 for water hunting
Honestly I kind of like the control box being in the headphones, definitely unique!
Can bring it deeper in the water than the usual cheap-o non waterproof detectors.
Great video. You have to think how can they make and sell it for that price it`s insane. And you show that it does work to some degree. It`s ideal for getting for a young child as it`s light weight.
I pretty much exclusively detect at my local beaches - I'm interested in seeing how this cheaply would do in the sand.
I hope you get the 250 likes, because that was interesting! I mean, what can you buy these days for $26? 😂
Maybe a fish & chips.
WE'VE DONE IT! The $26 dollar detector cannot be stopped! 🤣
Looking forward to the $26.00 challenge.
For 1.6% of the cost of Manticore/Deus 2, I'm sure it can find just as much gold for the persistent user.
I want to see you create a series to pay off this detector!
1:15 the amazon box
Only metal detector you will ever need for modern park hunting at the best price yet. If all I would ever hunt was parks and yards that's the best light weight deal yet. But I like to hunt saltwater and occassionally go hunting gold fields for gold nuggets and the Legend is the best deal for that so far. That cheap detector will find all the recent dropped coins in a park the high dollar ones could find and the gold rings as well.
I think in a modern park with mild soil surprisingly this thing is doing well.
The only thing I'm worried about is how long will it last, coil feels SUPER cheap.. we'll see! 😁
I like that machine. For the money sure its worth it. And ya if you want to make more videos about it that would be great. I think its really cool myself. Great video and some nice finds.
hey Austin 👑 , thanx for a very interesting vid , that's cool finds on
a cheap detector ,at least so far no
pull tabs, or ants 😂 ,until the next one
Don't worry they are waiting for me on the next treasure hunt. 😆
26달러에 성능도 좋아보이네요
Good
Need 250, I want to see this used more. Heck might even buy one myself to let family borrow it instead of my expensive ones
I like watching you detect, it’s fine that you’re using a cheap detector. My vote yes
I am a real cheap skate, so I love cheap things that actually work..It might make an okay travel detector when you don't want to risk your good unit.
It surprises me every time I use it, works good.
Build quality..... questionable at best!
a silver ring will pay it off🤩
Could be a good tot lot machine. Thanks for the info.
Grandkids would love it! Would leave grand daddy’s new one alone . On the beach vacation!
What would be cool is if someone took a temu metal detector and upgraded it dyi style id watch that
🤓...Use a ruler and measure (and memorize) the lengths, widths and distances of the various parts of your hand and fingers....That way you'll have a "Handy" (😝 Excuse the pun) reference you can use to take much of the "Guess work" out of measuring the various things you find out in the field during your hunts. 🧐!!!! (You can thank me later) 😎😂!!!
I want to see it at the beach! Get it paid off real quick!
PYLE is a line of audio equipment, I wonder if they are branching out or they licensed their name.
Cool brother 26 bucks who would have thought
My nephew got a cheapy from Kmart for his 8th birthday. It was $25 (about $16usd). I'm busting to get him out with me to compare to the vanquish
If the toonie is post2012 I think its steel, if its pre 2012 I think its copper and nickel
😉👍🤠let's go for 250!!!
I think you are on too something Watson . Would like to see you keep using it till you pay for it . The thing is working well as I can see. I sometimes think 🤔 people think they have to buy the higher dollar ideas to have fun in life , so much not the case at all. Life is short, dig it all my man.
Love. To. See. How. It works at the Beach
Great video
Beautiful detector 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We got 250+ likes, let’s go for the detector payoff mini series!!
YYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! 👍👍👍👍🙌🙌 New $26 detector video Wednesday!
Can I pay off the metal detector before the battery goes dead. You have about 20 hours. That would be interesting
Going to have to account battery cost if the battery dies!! 👍
Good videos keep her going🤟
I say yes and I’d like to see it on the beach!!!im curious!!
Heck yeah! Let’s keep it going! That’s a cool little machine, bet you could swing all day
It's the DISCOUNT DEUS! 🤣 Feels pretty nice to swing, surprisingly!
@@TreasureOutdoors most interesting. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks!
@@TreasureOutdoors haha! Omg I thought this was for a different video! Yes it is kinda like a deus, super light weight!
Austin for 26 bucks it did great!!!
I think so too, really surprised me! I'm wondering how long it will last... the coil feels VERY cheap.. but I did take it into the water today.... 🤔
Buen equipo amigo, saludos cordiales desde chile 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️🗝️💍🤜🤛
Seems to me the detecting distances are larger.
Awesome.
fun video,thanks
Hi, what is the brand of this detector and how do I purchase one? I'm from Brazil
next time you have that detector on video could you do a recovery test on it lol thanks
Yeah I’m interested. Let’s see how long it takes to pay it off. I mean at $26 it’s totally possible.
What editing program do you use?
I use a couple free ones, this one is called VSDC.
Simple, nothing too crazy. 👍
I believe there is 3 different metals in the Canadian toonies
yes, keep going to pay it off!!
These are the knock off versions of the detectorpro headhunter metal detector. I've taken these little guys and slapped a fisher 1280x coil on them and installed a larger sensitivity trim pot and have used them for lake hunting. With a little adjustment you can hit quarters at 12inches no problem.
@Whitebeard1715 I went into it expecting little.. but it surprised me how well it worked!
@@TreasureOutdoors it's really nothing more than a fisher 1280x circuit board. Running on the 2.4khz..... get rid of that aluminum shaft and solder in a 1280x coil and you'll use it alot more in the freshwater.
Tell us name brand for this . For our 8 year old twins. ( grandkids)
They upped the price, I can't recommend buying this exact brand but keep your eye open for good deals on cheaper detectors.
I think they are all kind of similar, just have to find one for a good price.
Try to Gordon, from harbor frieght.
Why can't the big companies offer theirs for less? I did buy the Nox900 for myself, so spent quite a bit of money. Makes me wonder how much cost is really in it.
They know we will pay the big bucks for 'em!
As long as we keep buying... they'll keep pumping 'em out! 🤔
@@TreasureOutdoors true 👍
A very cheap Radio shack Detector found the Largest viking gold Treasure ever found,
Sometimes it's about getting out there and doing it... no matter the gear!
Location very important too.
Be a good one to buy for my 10 yr old & under grand kids to come down to Be a h with me. Did it have a brand name.
This one has a brand name but most of the cheap detectors are similar, if you could find one "new open box" for under $30-40 it might be worth it.
Contempt prior to investigation!
Try going over with your good metal detector after the cheaper one.
good idea to see what could be missed
I found a luandry token today, I have found 5 tokens this season, but 2 are the same so only 4 types
I barely dug the grass in the big park in my town, going to spend more time there next year, thats where I found the laundry token today, also some ring pull/beaver tail so there is older junk too
That thing is hilarious
😂
Just Shows you...any detector will find an object...SHOWS YOU YOU DONT NEED TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY...ON A..METAL DETECTOR 😊
At 2.4KHz, it SHOULD be ripping the Silver Coins right out of the ground....
THE SILVER SLAYER! 🤣
Yee-Haw I was #250.
Will you be testing this detector on the beach?
I took it to a small swimming hole, might take it to a better beach eventually. I don't have a lot of hope for it in the wet sand but you never know until you give it a try!
I definitely want to see it submerged at the beach
Brought it to a little swimming hole, did it survive.....? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Took you by surprise, right?
Yes! I can't be sure how long it will last... but for the first hunt, it actually impressed me for the price.
china makes pretty good cheap stuff
💪😎🤘🍀
bro, you need to do the study if you wsnt to learn more. they work how they work and cheap does the same thi g as expensive. yes really. it detects an interruption on the magnetic field. all of them work like this.
the depth is a function of coil turns and power used. cheap can do that just as effectively as expensive.
the metal types cant only discriminate on ferrous and non ferrous, (magnetic or not).
its a dirty little secret that a few dollars of diodes and transistors to process the information, not to detect, only to process, is the difference between 6 thousand dollars amd 6.
I have seen a few videos of people making the simplest form of metal detector, very interesting.
We have definitely been caught up a bit in marketing hype when it comes to new detectors, they may have their benefits... but at the end of the day I'm pretty much digging it all anyways!
I just gave you 250 likes. 😂 Come back with the detector.
@4:35 Candian Toonie lol
