Now you know 😊 its been said that if you oil your hair right after it will strip all the dye. But if you do after 48hours the dye will stick. Even though your hair will be soo dry, just use aloevera juice to moisturize until the 48 hours. That's what i did.
@@MadamAko2020 you can add aloe vera powder to the mixed henna and the indigo, it will add the much needed moisture. I also add some amla to the henna then I mix the henna with warm coconut milk because it gives you almost instant dye release. I've also added a little oil to the coconut milk for additional moisture. I have stubborn grays so, I do the process you do by adding the indigo to the henna mix after the dye release. I then do another indigo application after. I've yet to try doing just indigo. I'm very curious, lol.

Do the 2 step method, that is henna first followed by the indigo powder and let it stay in your hair longer at least 5 or 6hrs you will see results hopefully. Left mine in for I think 5hrs or more until it started to dry up. I hope this helps 🤗

@afolajimi don't try the indigo alone, I don't have stubborn hair, but it didn't turn my hair black. So kindly use both. Artificial dyes really messes our hair up.
Henna takes at the least 4 hours to dye release, some like to wait 8 hours or more or even over night. Indigo dye releases in 20-30 mins. so mixing it together out right in the beginning when you have to wait for the henna to dye release you lose the potency of the Indigo which you need to really use when its ready. Which is why most people mix them separate and then combine.

Thanks for watching....it sat on my counter and it was more than 8hours because I quiet remember I filmed that video at night. And mixed the indigo in the morning. Let that sit for awhile before mixing both. After application, I let it sit in my hair for 6 or 7hrs before rinsing it out.

You can do 60/40 of the henna and indigo. Which is 40% of henna and 60% of indigo if you want your hair to be darker. I sat for 6hrs and I just rinse my hair with water. Waited 48hrs before I conditioned my hair. You will have to shampoo your hair before you use it. You can also use any shampoo of your choice. Hope this helps 😊

Man… I’m trying to get this right but the combination/time factor is henna/indigo is a trail & error thing.
Just mix the two and let it sit for 30mins and apply. You will get the same results.

I am sorry, but I think I eyeballed it with the length of my hair. So I think if you want to try it, depending on how long your or short your hair is, you should be able to figure it out. And thank you for watching.

@@isobel64 Thank you, however key info on time frame was not part of the video I viewed. I have been using henna and indigo since 2018. The mixed ingredients must sit for 3-4 hours. I allow henna/indigo to sit in my hair for 4 hours.
@@vivianwada6292 she did the henna by itself overnight, indigo by itself for 45 mins. Mixed them then added to hair for 6 hours. Henna Sooq suggests the same

@@MadamAko2020 please don’t. It will turn your grey hair GREEN. It needs the henna to bind to in order to last longer and get the black colour.

Do not use indigo by itself ooh! You have to use it with Henna

@@Virtuenow the indigo works by attaching itself to the henna. Also the colour development you see with the indigo should be happening on your hair, not in the bowl as she showed. You are supposed to to mix it and apply it straight away.
