I hear you Stevo. I've been a bleeding heart liberal progressive my entire life & helped everyone, family, friends, even total strangers & it cost me everything. I didn't help people because I expected anything in return but now that I'm in a very dire situation nobody cares. It's actually very sad how uncaring most humans have become.

Right on, brotha! I grew up with narcissistic parents. Those kinds of people are evil as puck! I tried getting other relatives to help me through it. Instead of them helping, they all turned on me. They do NOT care. So, I had a choice. I could stay around the hell they put me through or get the puck out. I got the puck out! I'm my own man, now. I got my own pad. Guess what??? Those shits are never welcome back in my life. Ever! And you're right. I ran into them a while back. They acted like nothing is wrong and still blame me. As hard as puck it was going through this, I can now say that I'm stronger than I was before. Damn, glad I choose to overcome.
I share your pain bro, also had narcissistic parents and they’ve never once showed sympathy, compassion and accountability for how they mistreated me in life. We have to forget about getting closure from narcissistic parents who never admit their wrongdoings and don’t even show love and kindness to their own children. I’ve accepted that I don’t have parents or a family but the pain still hurts of knowing that your own parents don’t love and care for you and dealing with the deep loneliness. But we’ve been living this for a while now and we’ll get through it.

But at the end of the day, it’s what they signed up for so they can’t be mad if you repay them with the same sample they gave you.

Fellas, y’all need to keep grinding and fighting. Just an example from my own experiences in life,I was having struggles with being social and meeting new people after college.
I got a new job, cool. No social life at all. So I took it upon myself to improve this area of my life and starting signing up for events, meet ups and other things I found cool. Guess what? I ended up meeting tons of people and networked the shit ton of it.
My point with this is that nobody came for my rescue. I made the internal decision that I was going to change and I did, keep y’all head up and keep yourself accountable to better yourself so you can have more fulfilling life.

People's loyalty is controlled by their opportunity. People will snitch when they have new options, and they will do it when you are sick or you need them the most, and they won't care.
Funny thing Shaun I helped many friends accomplish goals , they were so close to me . Soonest they got a good paying job they don’t know me anymore. All of them. Not once have they called me to help me get a better job , I was struggling and was down but no one helped me. They knew because we worked at the same place and knew the struggle.
Till this day not one call from any of them . But I’m almost done with my degree… all this gave me motivation 💪💪 thank you for the video I thought I was the only one. 👊👊

I'm 68yo & attended a Spiritual Awareness Group of 18 elder people for 4yrs.... I gave these people tons of vulnerable moments, gifts, help and always knew they never had the capacity to do anything for me.
Groups are groups...you are nothing outside of the group and unfortunately very little even inside the group.

Pure truth. I’m 60. For too long in my life I believed that people would really care and save me. What a stupid mindset. Take it from me and what’s said in this video, it’ll make you stronger. Unfortunately I learned too late and the damage is done. You’re on your own. Live it and breathe it!

This video hit today. So there's a coworker who I take home who has given me gas money like twice out of the 15 or so times I've taken him home. Also out of all these times he's never gave me dap or thanked me. Not. One. Time. Today he TOLD me he was going to ride with me after work because Walmart was on the way. I told him "I gotcha" and then dipped to the parking lot without saying shit. My family raised me to be kind and caring to everyone no matter what but that shit is over with. I'm done being nice or helping people. Fuckin waste of time, energy, money. I'll show respect where it's due but that's it. I know no one cares about me. Now I just have to keep practicing NOT caring about them.

I think it's important to care about the family and friends that you consider close, but if they aren't seem to care for you anymore, or if they never did and you've reached your breaking point, you've got to wish them well and stop caring about them too I guess

My appendix rupture I was in the hospital for two weeks I went septic,I had a 3 month recovery from all the damage ,everyone that supposedly care didn't even checked up on me after the first week, this shit is real, never depend on no one in this world but yourself.

I've spent my entire life over valuing people, loving on people, being there for people, standing up for people, giving everything that I had and own, putting myself and my freedom on the line for people, never putting a dollar or material item over a person, and they all turn their back on me! They would not stand up for me, fight for me or support me. And now after doing this my entire life I'm all alone and homeless, working hard to build myself back up to where I was before.
You lived that way and did those things for others because you liked the way it made you feel. You did it for you!

People do things for you when it benefits them. People approach you when you have something they can take or exploit. They love you for the things that you do for them. But when you hit rock bottom, the real friends will not hesitate to reach for your hand. If you think no one loves you or cares for you, look in the mirror. there is one. tbh, i'm going through a lot right now but the only person who has my back is myself. i stopped expecting people to save me when my own friend didn't offer to help me out even finding ways to get myself out of the darkest time of my life. Let's choose our people wisely. We aren't really alone. We have ourselves. We have made it this far. There is nothing we cannot overcome. We can do this. We can get through this. I came to notice that you got to be careful who you share your accomplishments with as well (moving in silence). I just recently obtained a Level 1 FANUC robotics handingtool and programming certification and about 90 percent of the people I shared it with was indifferent. I am not the gloating or flaunting type. If I was to talk about something that not of relevance, I see their stance sort of become more receptive and inviting. That a telltale sign people are more willing to accept you if you are not transcending.
