We need more inspirational people like him, because not everyone is from a happy family. But darkness makes you grow, it makes you a beast. And that beast is not dependent on validation from the outside world. So do everything you want to do anyways.

Totally agree, and we Always need to have God in our hearts, the truth in life which is in the ORTHODOX christianity religion. it is the original and true form of christianity that Jesus taught us when he came to earth, and you can feel God through the holy mysteries after baptism , confession and holy communion in the orthodox christian church, something that completely changes your life and turns you into a happier person with a meaningful life and also saves you by strengthening your bond with God. Don't focus too much on what others think of you. I've been told that if you let someone anger you, you're giving them power and letting them control you.
But how do you do that? How do you get into such a mental state, that it is not affected by any external attack?
I usually do not trip when people say shit about me, but sometimes it just hits hard and then there is an avalanche of negative emotions. Recently I told a girl that I would like to date her. She could have said she not interested. But she said I am not good enough for her. I was emotionally unstable for the entire week. Man I dont wanna feel like that again.
I dont want to be affected by what anyone says.
@@nandu1770Dive in that feeling of rejection. WHY does that make YOU feel that way. Ask yourself that. Feel it. What is it. Somewhere deep down inside you is a little kid who's scared of being rejected. Heal that kid and then you start to live.

I've been reflecting on recent instances in which I felt some people didn't like me. I actually was getting sad about it. I'm realizing what I really feel sad about is not that they don't like me, is that instead of being myself I was acting in way to make them like me and I feel like a failure. I sold myself short and still lost the game. I'd rather have just been myself and have them hate me than be a doormat expecting not to get walked on. Damn.
What's crazy is I've listened to tons of Goggins and others and shit like this still happens. Can't get down on yourself. Can't get soft after a misstep and stumble.
Try and think of someone or something that will remind you to stay true to your self when that happens. You know what to do, it's just that when it comes time to do it you fall back on your old ways. For me I think of something that gets me angry. That gives me the courage to do the right thing for myself. I know it is not easy but once you get a success you will have more confidence.

That was my childhood. My parents, my grandmother, that is all I heard from them, you are not doing the right things. My father is 67 today and he still did not change. But it doesn't matter anymore.
I can relate to David so much.
My father was a monster . He beat me up so bad that my legs were all blue.
Also beat up my mother.
Worst was the mental abuse , physical not so much , but I always felt bad at home.
When I came back from school I never felt good in my house , cause it was not a home.
Living with a Tyrant ain't easy.
I got into heroin addiction , cause my mother was overprotective, and I was afraid of girls. It lasted 10 years. Spent 5 years in Polish prisons..3 years of homelessness.
My mother passed away to cancer in 2011.
At the age of 55.
My father changed , our relations are good now but he still sometimes is trying to tell me that I do some things wrong. But it's on a different level totally now.
I am self sufficient. Got my own apartment. Live with my dog. Since 2008 I am on methadone. Got a rent and a part time job. But it's really nothin, I work 60 hours a week. I don't need fancy stuff. Social Care helps me to pay my rent , I get money for food from them , and I get 100 dollars a month for stuff I want to buy , I have a 300 dollars rent, and make 200 dollars in my part time job. But I am going to quit it in a year.
Just want to have all the time for myself to work on my issues.

I grew up with my grandparents, my grandma had no idea what life was about I had a hard time with math so the simple thing was I was stupid, it's been hard to get going because I had to drop all the bullshit about life now I'm 65 and many tests later I'm just getting going thanks for the help what you say is true

Because people that want to be liked are tiresome. They need you. You become much more enjoyable to be with, when you just are yourself and it make others to relax too.
David's motivation was so much more than being a Seal. And Seals are badass. Don't get me wrong. But David is here as a man who was defeated and rose up above so many things. Always looking for more. Not just selling "i was a Seal once". Mad respect.

I respect and admire that he really understands what true suffering is. Always being treated like a punching bag. Being stereotyped on a constant basis. Having to work twice as hard to make it. I can honestly relate in every aspect. He is a true testament to what it means to truly succeed.

I always been angry, ashamed and depressed about my past. But recently, I started being comfortable with my lifestyle of avoiding emotions and people. There’s no up and down in my emotions. It made me comfortable in a bad way. And it stunned my learning progress for my business that I am doing. Then I realise my suffering is a gift, because it gets me on the edge. Makes me uncomfortable to want more in my life and help myself grind through the tough period in my life. Because not everyone suffers in their life. I want to be uncomfortable again.

It's crazy how I was living like this before I ran into David videos... It's just let me know that I've been doing something right.
I love his videos so fucking much, I can totally relate. I have really bad anxiety and for a long time I was stuck in self-pity thinking I could never do all the things I wanted. Goggins’ idea of creating a new person in your mind is fucking brilliant, when I was younger I was very shy and scared to take risks, as a result I hated myself. I played sick just like he did. Me too. I often looked at Father as a barrier. But I’ve come to recognize what he had to deal with growing up.Depression Kid and a WW2 teenager.When the war ended he was only a couple weeks past 19.And almost for finished with his enlistment.A barrier, yeah OK but if we can analyze our barriers and recognize the components,the negatives and the positives , we have so much more to go on.
