Another way of doing it is by setting up a camera at 45 degrees towards the ground in the direction you want the axonometric view, then "make2d" and finally scale the resulting linework by 1,4142 (or square root of 2) in the vertical direction with "scale1d".
I prefer to set up the view with the help of two lines of 1m in the shape of an L, with the horizontal in my preferred direction and one vertical from the ground plane, then snapping camera from the end of the vertical to the end of the horizontal. This L can be included in the make2d and then used to scale1d the linework back to the correct length (1m)

That shear command is kinda odd and new, never thought of that 👏

Hey Tom I'm a big fan and I'm a very old subscriber on UA-cam. There is something I was wondering, when we make grass , can we have active blend maps , displacement and bump all together?

What is the benefit of using this process compared to using the Isometric view? It seems that this is more work for a very similar output. Would love to understand the different use-cases for this method!

DIfferent angle projection, some people find this more aesthetic maybe

Axo preserves the scale, much more useful drawing
