I loved this game as a kid, the ending was a bit confusing, but all the cutscenes were so cool. Loved that one minigame where you have to craft your own perfect business card. It was ahead of it's time.
@@alextfife there’s actually a secret that makes the card better than Pauls and skips his entire chapter If you put all of your information in the upper left corner you unlock a hidden option to edit the name on the business card, if you change it to Bret Easton Ellis (The writer of the original book) you can skip the chapter and get the secret cutscenes. This is banned in most speedrun categories though
Hearing this after finally passing the Homeless Guy boss was so satsifying when I was a kid. The boss wasn't even that hard, I was just a dumb kid and didn't know a lot of the combos and special moves like the Patrick Punch, the Dorsia Divebomb, and the Axe Attack.
You played American Psycho? Critically overlooked upon release, it later found a cult following and really came into its own, commercially and artistically. The game’s score has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the gameplay a big boost. The music has been compared to Super Mario 64, but I think it has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. I think the undisputed masterpiece of the OST is the track that plays during the “Jean” cutscene. The beat is so catchy, most people probably don't realise the message. But they should, because it's not just about enhancing the scene. It's also a personal statement about gaming itself. Hey Paul…
I know there is a child right now that stumbled upon this video and thinks this is real. When they realise it isn’t their world will shatter or maybe they’ll search for literal years for this song
The "This is not an exit" ending is genuinely one of the best endings in gaming history. The ending monologue is definitely what sells it for me, its so poetic and indicative of Patrick's twisted mind, it took me a few playthroughs to fully comprehend its meaning. The music is also great, fits the mood of the story perfectly.
Nostalgia hitting hard, I remember trying to pass all night long the Paul's Allen Boss, the quick events on the touch screen required precision and velocity, but in the end I did it, it was a Thursday, right before going to the school

It's in Dorsia, go to the kitchen and in one of the walk-in freezers you should find it. But you need to get a reservation in the previous level, and getting that on a Friday night is nearly impossible.

this music was perfect for the twist ending to the game, where it's revealed you're just a beta with delusions of being a badass pyscho. a perfect metaphor for american capitalism that's really captured by the media of it being an interactive game.
I enjoyed the movie but I have no idea what anyone here is talking about. The game absolutely stunk and the only reason anybody actually looks fondly back on it is cause of the soundtrack, let’s be real here.
I stopped for a good second second guessing myself if this was real. Because it was the Nintendo DS. Anything was fucking possible to show up on there.
