Pigeons - Large Baby Pigeon is Sleepy but Unafraid - Baby Pigeon Daycare / Balcony Bird Table

Baby Pigeons are easy to identify by their relatively darker eyes and (less bright) feet, and by their behaviour. This one had obviously just fledged the nest and was very sweet. He has a very full crop which i didn't notice at the time so must have been recently fed.
Today was hot and he was glad to find a shaded area where he could chill for a bit, fill up on cool water and generally revive.
However, just fledged Pigeons like this seem to be oblivious to danger - as you can see he was totally unafraid of me and hence in danger of being predated.
I left him there for awhile but the local Crows had noticed him, Crow Mama 'Deux' was on the roof above and kept peeping over to stare at him so i ushered him away - He landed on the next balcony briefly but then flew off.

😂🤣I thought that was pretty sweet. Every time I find myself talking to the squirrels I have to stop myself to see if neighbors are watching😂
This is probably the most talking i've ever done on a vid! It worried me how unafraid he was, i found myself standing just inside the door keeping an eye on him in case he was attacked - not how i wanna spend my Sat afternoon, hence the relocation. Parents were nearby though and guided him to a safer location...

@@MyaYard 😆 This baby Pidgy was back again yesterday with another one too, both sitting on the balcony floor! Weather must have been too hot for them. However, today it's still hot but there's a nice cool breeze and i've just seen him on the balcony, wide awake, fully active just like the other Pigeons except when i went out he didn't fly off like the rest - just stood there whilst i filled the water bowls up, even when the scary hands went close :)

Yah, i kept an eye on him and the parents were pushing him to a safe place where he couldn't get attacked. I've been getting a lot of baby Pidgies arriving on the balcony lately, but this one was the most oblivious to danger...
