Question why can't I play a DVD offline right now? I have no internet yet at my new apartment and I can't play a DVD on it? It keeps acting like I need to be connected... What kind of ass backwards tech is that? No dvd player should ever need internet

If you go to settings and turn you Xbox to offline mode you can watch movie without internet

Omg thanks my Audio was doing a glitch where you could hear the music but not the text or speech I fixed by following everything you did on blu ray

Is there a way to change the controls on the blu ray app? I hate that you have to press b for pause and all this weird shit. It should be start for pause, like normal
Okay i think i figured out the problem for those that can’t hear the people talking when playing blu ray movies. Press the home button and go to the system icon, go to settings, then go down to where it says “Ease of acces” click on that, then click where it says audio. The “Mono output” box should be checked. Hope this helps for you guys, it worked for me.

oBlvd it definitely made the voice volume better but not where I wanted it to be so I just downloaded Netflix and am watching what I can from there. Castlevania is dope!

I. Have an issue with the movies playing it's zoomed in or something gets half the video size that it should be any fixing
Hold your xbox power button for 30 seconds and it will reset the basic settings on it which should fix this.

How do you change the regional settings so that I am able to play foreign Blu Ray discs? Simply resetting the language and region in the display settings is not working. I continue to get a notification that reads: Sorry, this Blu-Ray is only for regioncode B.

@@itzmalachite7576 sadly no. I don't think Xboxes are capable of resolving this issue. Simply by changing the regional settings on the Xbox isn't enough to play a disc from another region. I guess it's a format programmed into the disc.

@@itzmalachite7576 Unfortunately no. There are DVD players that play all 3 regions which span the globe. These players are reasonably priced on ebay. Unfortunately as of now not everything is available to stream. There are plenty of shows overseas which don't have a large enough North American following in order for a streaming service to purchase. If you're sitting on several DVD's which you are unable to view because they were purchased from the Western World I highly recommend going onto ebay and seeking out a Region Free DVD player.

Have you checked the cabling? Their are two HDMI ports on the xbox one so make sure you have it plugged in correctly. If that is correct, have you tried changing the input on the television?

Hi, we just purchased an XBOX one S with FIFA 17, when I load a disk it does not recognise or even show that a disk has been inserted! tried everything! pls HELP!

Okay you definitely want to contact Xbox @ 1800-4MY-XBOX , and let them know about this issue. You will probably need to send it in to get fixed as that is a very rare issue.

Maybe they are hardcoded into the disk? turn off the option on the Xbox One and see if that works.. If not they are probably hardcoded and will not be able to be removed.

TheTechSpace i know im late lol but i have 28 weeks later and it is hardcoded when i play it on my xboxone it has the narrator but when i play it on a regular dvd player it goes away

No but upon connecting to the internet you will be set to the correct region.

from a USB? Yes, you have to go to the media center. Search media center on the xbox one.

I've got a question here how do you put a DVD on full screen? If you want to watch a DVD not a Blu Ray ?
There should be an option for full screen at the bottom when the movie is playing. Use the controller to navigate through the settings on the bottom. Let me know if you see this option.

Have you tried using the TV remote. Their may be an option on there to change it from widescreen,stretched, or full-screen. The problem has to exist because of some setting whether on the TV or Xbox. Check your Xbox video settings and see if you have the correct TV resolution set as well.

Yeah no option to play a 4:3 video in a streached 16:9
Must be connected to internet initially to play dvd/Blu ray. Xbox does not have a repeat function if u want to loop ur dvd.
Basically the xbox one sucks for dvd/Blu ray. U have to get a PS4 for all these features. Can't even perform basic function on the xbox one. It's like watching dvd on a ps2.
