I lost immediate interest in a guy who texted me "hey." I reluctantly responded "hello (his name), how are you doing? He responded "I'm ok." And that was it. Then the next day he texted "wyd?" No effort in communication.🤦♀️

You did dodge a bullet. When things are ok, they go smooth, and the vibe is good. I started chatting with this guy, talked on the phone then he said, "I'd like to meet you in person". I go sure, when would you like to meet? Then he started giving me a rather long explanation of how he travels a lot and he is extremely busy and he cannot tell me for sure. I replied that ok, we'll see. He was taken aback and told me I seem disinterested. I think the guy wanted me to chase him, so I let it go. If it doesn't flow,let it go.

hmmm guys have said in the past that they really appreciated that I sent that initial text because they were afraid that I wasn't interested and that initial text from me made them more confident that there could be something there

As a guy, I'll tell you that the last woman I dated - we had a nice first date. Then, she texted me the next day to tell me she had a great time, starting setting up the next date, etc. It's weird because I literally thought 'She's doing all the stuff guys are supposed to do!' LOL It was both neat, but also weird, as I didn't really know what to do. We never went beyond our third or fourth date. Not sure if that played into it, but thought Ryan's first point really hit home with me.

I actually had the opposite scenario here. It was the guy who was killing the vibe lol. Especially with the over enthusiastic and rapid fire texting. He had so much drama and bombarded me so often that I was at emotional burnout after 2 weeks of knowing him. Had to cut that off quick for my own self preservation. Now that I know how it feels I can definitely take my time and hang back with the texting lol. 😅
This has literally what it’s been been like for me over the last year during covid. It was like the men I was talking to were so desperate to talk to someone. They would verbal diarrhea their whole life story to me in less then two weeks! I stopped dating because of it.

Yeah I had a guy tell me about a broken chair he had to replace that he’s had since college. That was my first clue after a lot of texting…how are we on the mundane, useless level? Killed the vibe for sure.

Okay, I'm probably one of the "old ladies" in the group here, 58 and widowed for 5 years with just a smidge of semi/date/opposite sex interaction. Thank you so much for this information. I think I failed the test right out the gate... Basically what I just learned here, do not initiate, no more novels (I'm a wanna be writer) and in a nut shell- take it SLOW! I think he hit the nail right on the head with a lot of these points. I I like to follow the rules of the jungle, where the man leads. It’s so nice to have the man chasing you. In the meantime do your own thing and act like the commodity you are.

Simple is best. Psychologically I believe it conveys to both parties that you're content with yourself. Anything that borders outside of this will be a sign of a person showing that they're looking for something else to make them happy. The only guys that are going to like this are ones who are discontent as well. Love yourself first. I understand this is not a cookie cutter statement but one that may fit many situations❤
Well I have a problem with guys that you go out with on a couple of dates but they ghost you and don't tell you that they have decided not to see you anymore. That's really rude and probably why women wind up sending texts to see if they guy still likes them. It is cowardice and shows that they are probably looking for sex.
I am on that side of I tend to ghost guys when I dont see a connection. Its better than the awkwardness of telling them "I dont like you". If they keep calling (bothering me) for an answer, it makes them look so desperate and needy. I dont owe them any explanation as to why I dont want to see them anymore.
@@veronicaana I think it is just good manners to let someone know the reason you don't see a connection. Many times, I have other things going on, they are too far away or other things. I believe the people that mostly use online dating are out there mostly for sex. If you start talking to someone and then find someone that you really wanted to begin with, guys will stop texting you, because you were just there for their ego. I mean meeting someone for a date or two is just a way to see if you connect. After that, you do owe someone an explanation for wasting their time. People feel like they are owed something and if they decide they are not interested, they ignore or ghost. From what I have seen, people don't care if they hurt someone. They feel entitled to love and feel they don't owe anyone an explanation for anything. This is very rude and not a way to view your fellow potential dates.
@@CherylGoldstein I guess I see things entirely different. Manners to me means being a good sport, saying please and thank you, and not disrespecting anyone verbally. Silence is respect. Many people feel like they are "owed" an explanation. Or feel like a date is a waste of time if they dont get anything out of it.Dates are suppose to be fun, without expectation, seeing if there is a vibe. If a man doesnt get back to you, he is not interested, period. That is your answer. Why would you want him to call you and say "its not going g to work out, I dont like you". Developing expectations and an explanation of why they’re not interested after a date or two is extreme. Dates are supposed to be fun, and you are there to evaluate it just like he is. If he isn’t contacting you, he isn’t interested.

If he ghosted you that is a clear answer. Also, it may not be that he is looking for sex. He just isn't interested in you or maybe he found someone he likes more. I would block him and move on.
Okay Ryan, so... super humiliating 🤦🏼♀️ indeed, totally guilty of at least half of these, and no doubt, chased him away. Too-long texts, over-excited, self-disclosure... what else... an occasional emoji here or there maybe too often... im sure there's at least one more im guilty of 🤔... none of the weird possessive/needy/stalking type texts though Is there any repair that can be done? Is it possible to come back from this? As a guy who is trying to date other guys I find this helpful. I guess I think and I'm more emotional like a women because I certainly do these kinds of things. I don't understand my own gender group and I think most men are just full of themselves with these little mind games they play just to give themselves a little ego boost. I understand some points but most of these rules to follow are ridiculous.
Yea I get the long paragraph is a no-no so I do summaries or teasers to follow up on next phone call or date. Plus its just a pain scrolling through all of that-its hard to keep the interest. Texts should not be books. However-many guys have expressed that it is my enthusiasm and initiative and confidence that sets me apart. It does not come off as desperate but as someone who has fun no matter what and needs no one but chose them.
I’m the same way. I’m short in text but I am enthusiastic. I don’t send paragraphs, but initially I show that I am having a good day regardless of whether he’s in my life or not. Guys have told me they’re attracted to that. Who wants to chat with a Debbie downer? If he doesn’t match my enthusiasm then I tone it down and eventually next him. Not worth my time.
These are great tips! That drink sounds delightful, too!. I have done the radio silence text before remembering that I'm not here to chase a guy. What has happened is guys getting upset that I don't do this. A guy ghosted me and texted me a couple months later. He was upset that my only response was: Silence. He called me repeatedly and I just blocked him. His messages stated that he'd gotten really busy and was sorry for not being in touch. Oh well for him.

Alright, let’s break this down: 1. Good Lord, why the hell are we still living in ancient history? Gender roles seriously need to go. It shouldn’t solely be up to the guy to determine if and when the next levels of a relationship should take place. Ladies, don’t date these weird control freaks. Guys, seriously, don’t get creeped out by women acting like adults and assertively communicating their thoughts. If you do, you need to grow up. 2. Yeah, don’t get too excited, either man or woman. Chill. If you’ve only met someone recently and you’re overly excited, you’ve got some attachment and childhood issues that you need to work on before dating. 3. If you gotta send a paragraph, call the person or hang out with them. Texting isn’t a natural method of communication. Again, this is for both sexes. 4. Yeah, one or two emojis are fine, but flooding emojis? Weird. We have language for a reason. Use it. And ew, so it’s fine for men to use emojis first, but not women? Goodness, gender roles are way too engrossed here. Ladies, don’t deal with men that feel like they need to be the controllers of everything. It’s creepy and weird. 5. Oh gosh, again with the gender roles!!! Why is it a problem to check in on what the status of a relationship is? That’s not just for a man to determine. Both partners should communicate what they’re thinking and feeling freely. 6. Intimate self disclosure is not text appropriate in general regardless of your sex. Good point. 7. People who just drop off and don’t communicate? They’ve got issues. Don’t deal with these people. If you really want to, check in and ask what’s going on. If you’re not cool with that, it’s totally fine to break it off and let the person go. 8. Rapid fire texting is creepy. Don’t do it. It feels invasive and attacking. Don’t over share stuff. Again, this is just common knowledge for anyone. Good point. Seriously, if guys are still gender crazed, don’t deal with them. Ladies, we are not flowers for guys to pick. We are people and we deserve to be treated as such.
It’s not about being a control freak, not to mention that the majority of women like to be pursued… a women out of nowhere being like “This is our next date” after 1 date is a little off putting because very rarely will that happen… so it leaves dudes lost in what their “role” in the interaction is later on it’s not an issue but in the early stages (Date 1,2,3 or whatever it can be). Asking the status of a relationship or checking in on why they are responding is never good whether you are a man or woman, it shows neediness especially over text - wait to do that in person when you can have an actual discussion… also never flat out ask “Where is this going” because that assigns pressure to it - you can feel when something is going somewhere, let it flow and enjoy it instead of trying to drop labels on it faster to “Maintain control”. The main person who seems gender crazed here is you. You are talking about gender roles, etc when it’s simple psychology.

If you know anything about gender, it is the societal indoctrination of roles that the sexes have been taught to play. For so long, men have been taught that they are in charge and have been considered leaders and providers while women have been taught to be subordinate to them. This still plays out in romantic relationships-this video being a perfect example, with women being taught to sit around and wait for a man to make all of the power moves in a relationship. It’s really glorified passivity and sets women up for abusive relationships. No, not every woman has a physically abusive relationship when with these power-play guys, but there is a lot of emotional abuse at play: not asserting her own thoughts and feelings, waiting for the guy to decide the path of the relationship and waiting in passivity, not drawing boundaries for how she would like the relationship to go, etc. The concept of male-dominated relationships has been painted to be romantic, but in reality, it sets men up to feel superior and afraid to be vulnerable and women to feel passive and childish. The results we’ve been seeing over the last 50ish years have been women who felt like they had no voice in the relationship or have been abused and they decide to leave their husbands for those grievances or the husband has made another “power move” by leaving his wife for another woman to “chase”. Long story short, the male-dominated romance doesn’t work in the long run, and it’s time we stop encouraging it and instead encourage mutual power in romantic relationships
@@hannahberlinpetry450 No there is not abuse in these “roles” that’s just your perception of them… because you are obsessed with viewing gender in a negative light. Yes the vast majority of women do prefer things that way - they prefer to be chased and that’s from my personal experience of women who will deliberately be passive because they expect/want to be chased. No it doesn’t set up men to be superior. The reason why men can’t be vulnerable is not because of “Gender roles” it’s because it’s seen as unattractive for a man to be vulnerable. You took a very small percentage of relationships I.E unhealthy relationships (which are not caused by gender roles but by confused views into what to expect in a partner) and are trying to apply that to a global landscape… the reality is quite the opposite - Women actually hold the majority of the power in dating because they have the choices. Most divorce is instigated by Women not by Men… Women have the vast majority of control in the relationship because it’s the “Mans job” to keep her satisfied and entertained and if not she has multiple options that will do that. Abusive relationships don’t happen because of “Gender Roles” having been in an abusive relationship they happen to both men and women and are a result of personal choice. It’s not encouraging male dominated romances because all of the stuff in this video is literally stuff that men get advised not to do as well. Don’t ask her to DTR because that’s needy. Don’t check in because that’s weak and needy. Don’t message a girl instantly after a first date because that’s needy. Don’t message her all the time. Assume she is dating multiple people. Don’t reveal too much over text. I can keep going… It’s exactly the same advice on all these types of video because this is stuff people typically don’t find attractive in a partner/people do within dating… it’s not gender specific.
If you think I’m obsessed with gender then I will say this me and my partner mutually chased each other (although I did slightly more by travelling up to hers and meeting her parents first) neither of us cared about who messaged first. I just believe that you put too much on gender in these scenarios and seem to want to blame men for poor choices of some people.

Relationships aren’t games. They’re authentically organic parts of life, and both partners should play equal roles in that. If a man is the one always determining where the relationship goes and when, how will he truly know his partner’s feelings and thoughts? How will she be able to prove her love to him? Too complicated. Apparently I am a text fail and guilty of some of these. It would be easier to just say “I only text to set up dates. Phone calls are better.” I know, not really realistic in today’s world, plus texting is easier than interacting with humans sometimes. Dating is exhausting.

Hey Ryan , I want to give you a shout out. Even though it's annoying to apply these dating tips (like the texting rules) in real life, I guess it takes time to break free from our bad habbits that we women make in dating, even of they sound ridiculous or petty. I've been single since the start of the pandemic. I've been dating for over a year now. I've learned so much. So many hard lessons, sometimes I've had fun on dates with different guys, but to be honest, it's a long journey. Sometimes I have to take breaks from dating burnout. Maybe you can talk about that in your next video. Overall, your advice has served me welll despite not being in a relationship, yet ;) it's again a process. And eventually, im sure it will happen. I'm just keeping the dating thing steady and light. Also to all the ladies reading this, don't be too hard on yourself, the pandemic honestly has taken away some years from us. Omg. 😢 I just committed nearly all of these. Im 38, just left a 10 year relationship. Forgot what dating was, I clearly don’t know what texting etiquette is, I really really like this guy. The chemistry was there, I did send the 1st text. 😒 But I think he initiated the date and I picked the place. We could barely keep our hands off each other, the sexual chemistry was there. Hey, I need some advice. I work with a guy and I am not sure if he is interested in me. When I first met him, I was going to talk to my boss and he happened to be in that office doing the same thing. He immediately locked eyes with me and didn’t stop. And now whenever I see him he stares at me even when I look at him. When ever I talk to him he smiles A LOT. He says hi to me whenever he sees me, but we haven’t had an actual conversation yet. I ran into him the other day when I was going to work. He was about to go into a building and it was the first time seeing each other without masks on, he waved at me and I smiled and he went into the building. I look back and he’s also looking back. I think that my situation is unique. I was able to be myself and the guy that I’m interested in/feeling out appreciated them. None of the messages that I have sent him, included anything about my feelings for him or anything about being in a relationship. I want to be friends first and see where it goes from there. I also work with him, and that part is a little bit tricky, and again, we’ll see where it goes.

I agree with not using a lot of emojis however I gotta say I am a little confused about initiating conversation as a woman though. I've iniated conversation/relationship with both men and women and had it work out. Some guys/girls really like the iniation and appreciate but others dont. To me it feels like it depends on the person.

Say something very short and sweet. Then let him lead from there. Don’t keep leading, he should know from your initiative that you’re interested enough to chat. That should be enough for him to take the lead from there. If he’s not asking you out then he’s not interested.

Do not let anyone come in between you and your relationship goals, you can actually get your love back to you and make it deep that the ocean are jealous..
What if you ask a man to give you his number first (after he proposes number exchange on a dating app) so you can reach out to him when you feel it is safe (especially when you don't feel safe giving your number on a shady dating app and you need to vet him first), and then you reach with some very short message? Some women don' feel comfortable dropping their personal info on dating app and it is not okay for men to demand that from them, imho
I don't see how it can. Especially a LD relationship where text is the main form of communication and calls/visits are rare. I've spent 2 years breaking all these rules in my LD relationship.

I would have needed this already 3 weeks ago.. he vent to silence over 2 weeks(after messaging for 1 week) until 2 days ago he tried to call me middle of the day, but I had my nap he texted me in an hour I couldn´t keep up texting..
You’re excited because of the date idea, but are you really that excited about HIM yet? If you feel a little anxious and self-conscious, even a little sick, then it’s clear it isn’t the date, but getting to spend time with HIM that you are eager and anticipating.

I can see how emojis are juvenile and immature looking.. but I also think same goes for the entire act of texting. So i essentially think it is par for the course . He's definitely into me but he's stopped messaging. We've spoken on the phone when I called him. If he didn't like me, he wouldn't have made himself late back to work to make sure I was okay and because he couldn't stop kissing me. But I'm just confused, like we used to talk all the time over text but he's barely messaged in a week. Be in your body, not in his head. You should only try to match yourself - listen to your own gut, your feminine reaction, you know exactly what you like and what you don't like. If it's all the same to you, sure, send as many emojis as you like. But, if the guys is not in his early 20s, my experience showed me that men using a lot of emojis, especially at the very beginning are either childish, not great communicators, low effort, possibly burned out from talking to too many women at once. As a guy, I'll tell you that the last woman I dated - we had a nice first date. Then, she texted me the next day to tell me she had a great time, starting setting up the next date, etc. It's weird because I literally thought 'She's doing all the stuff guys are supposed to do!' LOL It was both neat, but also weird, as I didn't really know what to do. We never went beyond our third or fourth date. Not sure if that played into it, but thought Ryan's first point really hit home with me.

I actually had the opposite scenario here. It was the guy who was killing the vibe lol. Especially with the over enthusiastic and rapid fire texting. He had so much drama and bombarded me so often that I was at emotional burnout after 2 weeks of knowing him. Had to cut that off quick for my own self preservation. Now that I know how it feels I can definitely take my time and hang back with the texting lol. 😅
This has literally what it’s been been like for me over the last year during covid. It was like the men I was talking to were so desperate to talk to someone. They would verbal diarrhea their whole life story to me in less then two weeks! I stopped dating because of it.

Simple is best. Psychologically I believe it conveys to both parties that you're content with yourself. Anything that borders outside of this will be a sign of a person showing that they're looking for something else to make them happy.

Well I have a problem with guys that you go out with on a couple of dates but they ghost you and don't tell you that they have decided not to see you anymore. That's really rude and probably why women wind up sending texts to see if they guy still likes them. It is cowardice and shows that they are probably looking for sex.
I am on that side of I tend to ghost guys when I dont see a connection. Its better than the awkwardness of telling them "I dont like you". If they keep calling (bothering me) for an answer, it makes them look so desperate and needy. I dont owe them any explanation as to why I dont want to see them anymore.
@@veronicaana I think it is just good manners to let someone know the reason you don't see a connection. Many times, I have other things going on, they are too far away or other things. I believe the people that mostly use online dating are out there mostly for sex. If you start talking to someone and then find someone that you really wanted to begin with, guys will stop texting you, because you were just there for their ego. I mean meeting someone for a date or two is just a way to see if you connect. After that, you do owe someone an explanation for wasting their time. People feel like they are owed something and if they decide they are not interested, they ignore or ghost. From what I have seen, people don't care if they hurt someone. They feel entitled to love and feel they don't owe anyone an explanation for anything. This is very rude and not a way to view your fellow potential dates.

Developing expectations and an explanation of why they’re not interested after a date or two is extreme. Dates are supposed to be fun, and you are there to evaluate it just like he is. If he isn’t contacting you, he isn’t interested.

As a guy who is trying to date other guys I find this helpful. I guess I think and I'm more emotional like a women because I certainly do these kinds of things. I don't understand my own gender group and I think most men are just full of themselves with these little mind games they play just to give themselves a little ego boost. I understand some points but most of these rules to follow are ridiculous.
Yea I get the long paragraph is a no-no so I do summaries or teasers to follow up on next phone call or date. Plus its just a pain scrolling through all of that-its hard to keep the interest. Texts should not be books.
However-many guys have expressed that it is my enthusiasm and initiative and confidence that sets me apart.
It does not come off as desperate but as someone who has fun no matter what and needs no one but chose them.
I’m the same way. I’m short in text but I am enthusiastic. I don’t send paragraphs, but initially I show that I am having a good day regardless of whether he’s in my life or not. Guys have told me they’re attracted to that. Who wants to chat with a Debbie downer? If he doesn’t match my enthusiasm then I tone it down and eventually next him. Not worth my time.
These are great tips! That drink sounds delightful, too!. I have done the radio silence text before remembering that I'm not here to chase a guy. What has happened is guys getting upset that I don't do this. A guy ghosted me and texted me a couple months later. He was upset that my only response was: Silence. He called me repeatedly and I just blocked him. His messages stated that he'd gotten really busy and was sorry for not being in touch. Oh well for him.

What if he asks the woman “where do we stand?” I was asked this recently after dating for 4 weeks. He told me he can’t “read me”. First time anyone has ever said these things to me.

Alright, let’s break this down:
1. Good Lord, why the hell are we still living in ancient history? Gender roles seriously need to go. It shouldn’t solely be up to the guy to determine if and when the next levels of a relationship should take place. Ladies, don’t date these weird control freaks. Guys, seriously, don’t get creeped out by women acting like adults and assertively communicating their thoughts. If you do, you need to grow up.
2. Yeah, don’t get too excited, either man or woman. Chill. If you’ve only met someone recently and you’re overly excited, you’ve got some attachment and childhood issues that you need to work on before dating.
3. If you gotta send a paragraph, call the person or hang out with them. Texting isn’t a natural method of communication. Again, this is for both sexes.
4. Yeah, one or two emojis are fine, but flooding emojis? Weird. We have language for a reason. Use it. And ew, so it’s fine for men to use emojis first, but not women? Goodness, gender roles are way too engrossed here. Ladies, don’t deal with men that feel like they need to be the controllers of everything. It’s creepy and weird.
5. Oh gosh, again with the gender roles!!! Why is it a problem to check in on what the status of a relationship is? That’s not just for a man to determine. Both partners should communicate what they’re thinking and feeling freely.
6. Intimate self disclosure is not text appropriate in general regardless of your sex. Good point.
7. People who just drop off and don’t communicate? They’ve got issues. Don’t deal with these people. If you really want to, check in and ask what’s going on. If you’re not cool with that, it’s totally fine to break it off and let the person go.
8. Rapid fire texting is creepy. Don’t do it. It feels invasive and attacking. Don’t over share stuff. Again, this is just common knowledge for anyone. Good point.
Seriously, if guys are still gender crazed, don’t deal with them. Ladies, we are not flowers for guys to pick. We are people and we deserve to be treated as such.
It’s not about being a control freak, not to mention that the majority of women like to be pursued… a women out of nowhere being like “This is our next date” after 1 date is a little off putting because very rarely will that happen… so it leaves dudes lost in what their “role” in the interaction is later on it’s not an issue but in the early stages (Date 1,2,3 or whatever it can be).
Asking the status of a relationship or checking in on why they are responding is never good whether you are a man or woman, it shows neediness especially over text - wait to do that in person when you can have an actual discussion… also never flat out ask “Where is this going” because that assigns pressure to it - you can feel when something is going somewhere, let it flow and enjoy it instead of trying to drop labels on it faster to “Maintain control”.
The main person who seems gender crazed here is you. You are talking about gender roles, etc when it’s simple psychology.

If you know anything about gender, it is the societal indoctrination of roles that the sexes have been taught to play. For so long, men have been taught that they are in charge and have been considered leaders and providers while women have been taught to be subordinate to them. This still plays out in romantic relationships-this video being a perfect example, with women being taught to sit around and wait for a man to make all of the power moves in a relationship. It’s really glorified passivity and sets women up for abusive relationships. No, not every woman has a physically abusive relationship when with these power-play guys, but there is a lot of emotional abuse at play: not asserting her own thoughts and feelings, waiting for the guy to decide the path of the relationship and waiting in passivity, not drawing boundaries for how she would like the relationship to go, etc.
The concept of male-dominated relationships has been painted to be romantic, but in reality, it sets men up to feel superior and afraid to be vulnerable and women to feel passive and childish. The results we’ve been seeing over the last 50ish years have been women who felt like they had no voice in the relationship or have been abused and they decide to leave their husbands for those grievances or the husband has made another “power move” by leaving his wife for another woman to “chase”.
Long story short, the male-dominated romance doesn’t work in the long run, and it’s time we stop encouraging it and instead encourage mutual power in romantic relationships

Yes the vast majority of women do prefer things that way - they prefer to be chased and that’s from my personal experience of women who will deliberately be passive because they expect/want to be chased.
No it doesn’t set up men to be superior. The reason why men can’t be vulnerable is not because of “Gender roles” it’s because it’s seen as unattractive for a man to be vulnerable. You took a very small percentage of relationships I.E unhealthy relationships (which are not caused by gender roles but by confused views into what to expect in a partner) and are trying to apply that to a global landscape… the reality is quite the opposite - Women actually hold the majority of the power in dating because they have the choices. Most divorce is instigated by Women not by Men… Women have the vast majority of control in the relationship because it’s the “Mans job” to keep her satisfied and entertained and if not she has multiple options that will do that. Abusive relationships don’t happen because of “Gender Roles” having been in an abusive relationship they happen to both men and women and are a result of personal choice.
It’s not encouraging male dominated romances because all of the stuff in this video is literally stuff that men get advised not to do as well.
Don’t ask her to DTR because that’s needy.
Don’t check in because that’s weak and needy.
Don’t message a girl instantly after a first date because that’s needy.

Assume she is dating multiple people.
Don’t reveal too much over text.

It’s exactly the same advice on all these types of video because this is stuff people typically don’t find attractive in a partner/people do within dating… it’s not gender specific.
If you think I’m obsessed with gender then I will say this me and my partner mutually chased each other (although I did slightly more by travelling up to hers and meeting her parents first) neither of us cared about who messaged first.

Relationships aren’t games. They’re authentically organic parts of life, and both partners should play equal roles in that.
If a man is the one always determining where the relationship goes and when, how will he truly know his partner’s feelings and thoughts? How will she be able to prove her love to him? Hey, I need some advice. I work with a guy and I am not sure if he is interested in me. When I first met him, I was going to talk to my boss and he happened to be in that office doing the same thing. I think that my situation is unique. I was able to be myself and the guy that I’m interested in/feeling out appreciated them. He's definitely into me but he's stopped messaging. We've spoken on the phone when I called him. You should only try to match yourself - listen to your own gut, your feminine reaction, you know exactly what you like and what you don't like. If it's all the same to you, sure, send as many emojis as you like. But, if the guys is not in his early 20s, my experience showed me that men using a lot of emojis, especially at the very beginning are either childish, not great communicators, low effort, possibly burned out from talking to too many women at once.
