Welcome to Pairs Well With Knitting! I'm Jennifer and this is a knitting podcast where I invite you to join me as I travel, knit and pair all of my very favourite things together. In this video, I share my newest cast-offs, the fork in the road I’ve met with my WIPS and I share a treasure from the book shelf that sparks adventure from abroad!

OMG when you tossed the cowl I had a good chuckle! It seemed like a cartoony moment in the best way possible. ALSO the GLITTER SHRUG IS ICONIC
Thank you very much! Tossing my knits is a fun method of getting them out of the way quickly. ;) I love this shrug and have already worn it out to a holiday celebration.🥰
Thank-you for taking that adventure walk so I don't have to!!! Brrrrr...Lol! Love the tales from the bookshelf. Great story telling and knits :)
Thank you for your lovely words! The walk was a walk to remember. Even though it was super scary, I am so happy I was able to have this experience with the love of my life!
Oh that sweater on you is stunning. Love it !
Thank you very much! I've been wearing it a little more since this episode. It has a lovely feeling on.
Omg, my palms were sweating watching the Switzerland section! Such a good episode!
My palms were sweating as I was sharing about my adventures! A memory that will last a lifetime for sure!!!
Loving the new treasure segment! :D
Thank you! I hope it's an interesting way I can share a little more about myself.
I was so thrilled that you picked 🇨🇭as the first treasure !!
I am an old Swiss lady (65) and I have never been in Mürren. I have lived mostly in villages and small cities like Geneva and Bern. On vacation I went around the world, but never to the Swiss mountains!
Your story and your pictures are very impressive! thanks for sharing
I follow you since the beginning of your youtube (subcribed) and enjoy your fresh and joyful style. I love how you show your beautiful knits and how you comment earnestly what went wrong. We all make errors or dislike things, but it takes courage to mend or frog until the garment really turns into a loved item. I am that way, too.
I love that brain hat, the idea is so stunning - but I would never wear it! maybe for halloween !? but in Switzerland Halloween is not historical, it has been copied from America by commercial companies…
well, I am looking for more of your stories and knittings…. I wish you a wonderful Christmas…
love from pat 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇭🧶🎉
What a beautiful message! Thank you, Pat! Switzerland holds a special place in my heart. Modifying and ripping out my knitting is all part of the learning process and I would rather have a garment that I happy to wear in the end. Wishing you a joyous Christmas!
Ah Champagne cardigan. It was too big for me too. It has a lot of positive ease.
I love the design, but feel at this point, I have made so many mods it is looking far from that of the intended pattern. I will have to reknit the Champagne with a yarn choice that suits the pattern better in the future.
Thanks Jennifer, GREAT episode!🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
Very kind! Thank you, Sharon!!!
I always love your podcast, I vibe with your vibe haha
Yay! Thank you very much. Knitting and adventures are my jam!
hahahah the brain hat sure is SOMETHING
It sure is! I'm excited to gift it to my friend!
My palms were sweating so much I had to stop knitting! 😱That's too much adventure and height for me! But I do love Switzerland... I travelled there with a friend in my 20s and hope to return to share the experience with my husband some day.
My palms were sweating as I was sharing my story! I hope you do return. It's a country that has my heart.❤️
You look so great in pink.
You're very kind! I love pink and feel that I have only started to dabble more in pink garments when I started knitting.
Merry Christmas to you and your love! I hope you have a good time with family and friends! And while shopping in a shop near my house in the suburbs of Montreal, I found some Mary Macleod shortbread. They are delicious and I might keep them for me! 😂 Elise
Merry Christmas, Elise! I love that you came across these cookies. They are delicious. So far, I have managed to keep a couple of boxes to go along with gifts...but there are a few days to go still!
Can you provide the weight (thickness) and yardage of the Lang Lame please? I searched in Ravelty and Lang has several Lame lines. Regarding your super loose bindoff on your hat-turned-cowl, you could try going down several needle sizes for the bindoff. The final result looks great though! I loved the Treasures from the bookshelf, and can't wait for more.
Of course! The Lang Lamé is 25g 135m in colour 38 Platinum. I used almost 2 balls with a smidge left over. Here's where I bought it from www.romniwools.ca/products/lang-lame?variant=41324419973177. Thank you very much for your lovely words!
❤❤❤
I’m a loose knitter and always seem to have to modify petite knit patterns so they aren’t huge
I'm in your club. I love the look, but I rarely can use the patterns as written.
