    Hi dr., 72 yr. Old woman here! Dealing with plantar fasciitis, perpheral neuropathy and probably fibro foot. Exercises have helped tremendously and you have some new ones that I am excited about. It's a challenge for certain! I have spent many sleepless nights but it is getting better. My foot doctor hoped the alpha lipoic acid to 1200mg power day for the peripheral neuropathy & this has helped hugely! Diabetic here. All things considered, I feel pretty good. So happy to have found your channel. You certainly have a soothing voice.

    Good afternoon! I have pain in my heels and hip joints after prolonged exertion (long walks), and I also noticed that the arch of my foot has dropped and my big toes have changed their position. Can you recommend any exercises? Thank you very much!

    Thanks for another video. Been dealing with plantar fasciitis for 2 months... better than it was but still healing. How often do you suggest rolling with the ball or foam roller? Didn't recognize plantar fasciitis symptoms at first because I only had sore middle toes... few days later it was sore toes and heel... then it was OMG my arch and heel are ripping apart! One thing that has helped in my healing, besides rest, stretching and wearing shoes for every step inside my house, has been wearing a type of boot to keep my foot dorsal flexed at night. Good luck to all of you dealing with this issue. Stay hydrated and patient. Thanks again for sharing the video and knowledge.

      @DrMelissaOleson  Рік тому

      So glad you found this video helpful! And yes absolutely great tip staying hydrated is so important for our tissues. How often to roll can vary from person to person. Some of my clients roll 1-3x day some do every couple, and some do before and after activities. The key with any rolling is to only do it 30-60seconds in a spot a one time.

    Thank you for some great videos. I have tried out your exercises for plantar fasciitis - even though my diagnosis is tarsal tunnel syndrome. It has come and gone for several years, but a inflammation has bothered me now for over half a year. It’s now better, but I still can’t run, take long walks, play tennis as I used to.
    Do you have any exercises or good advices specifically for tarsal tunnel syndrome?
    I’m 68, male, active, in fairly good shape, have always had flat feet, when young I did a lot of running, hiking, sports, gymnastics and so on - without getting any problems with my feet. Now my right foot is stopping me!

    • @DrMelissaOleson
      @DrMelissaOleson  Рік тому +2

      You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed this one! We don’t have one specific to tarsal tunnel so I’ll add it to our filming list. Thank you for the suggestion! We do have several other foot videos on our channel and nerve calming videos like the hamstring one we have is great to calm the nervous system.
