9. It’d be cool to have a starter trio with a type lineup that has Fighting, Fairy, and Steel as secondary types 8. It’d be nice for Poison to resist Water or even be strong against it due to the whole 7. There really needs to be an electric variant of Body Slam since there are some Pokemon that could benefit from it like Luxray and Electivire. 6. If we ever get a Fire/Fighting Pokemon again, I hope it’s not a starter and rather a Pokemon you can find in the wild. 5. I’d love for a Bug/Dark Pokemon 4. Grass type should get a resistance to Fairy. Change my mind 3. Ghost type also needs more physical moves and Dusknoir should’ve been a Ghost/Fighting type. 2. The Ice Type should resist the Water, Ground, and Flying type. Try and change my mind. Also Galarian Darmanitan should be in Smash 1. The Bug type should get a huge buff next generation.
When it comes to Grass and Fairy types, it makes sense that Grass isn't strong to Fairy. Fairies and fey are most often depicted living in places like forests, swamps, and other places of high vegetation. Not to mention, the fey also are depicted as having nature magic due to that, which can also be seen in Pokemon as well. The forest and plants are the domain of Fairies. They wouldn't have any major interactions like that because they coexist.
Bug types honestly kinda evolves with each generations new mechanic if you think about it. But IMO Bug types need to be no longer resisted by ghost, fighting and fairy, while resisting poison like it did back in 1st gen. Then the type will become true terrifying dark horse for sure.
I'm also a huge fan of bug types. So many of them are incredibly cool and fun to use. Pinsir, Heracross, Forretress, both members of the Scyther line, Scolipede, Escavalier, Accelgor, Galvantula, Volcarona, Araquanid, there's so many of them I like. It's not my favorite type (That'd be Dragon and Electric) but it's nice to see another cultured bug enjoyer.
Bug at the top *as it should be.* I feel like there's a lot of unintentional theming with bug. Think about it. In the beginning they were weak and feeble in both moves and Pokemon, Kind of like a caterpillar or larva. But over the years they slowly evolved and changed into the magnificent butterfly of a type. That's special to me, it really is. Plus it has ya boi Guzma reppin the type so where can you really go wrong. I'll proudly call myself a bug catcher. BOW DOWN TO THE BUZZ!

@@PFEANYCS To explain Mawhile, it's actually based off of a Yokai. Yokai are basically Japanese demons or other odd creatures that aren't diresclty worshiped like the Kami are. I don't remember the name of the Yokai, but the Yokai itself is a women with a mouth on the back of her head that tells her... not so nice things. Fey are other fairy tales are all folklore, and a lot of Shintoism is bascially japansese folklore. So Mawhile being Fiery type actually makes a lot of sense.
Faeries play such an interesting part in folklore and history. I highly recommend researching about changelings. They appear to hold a key part of where many traits of the traditional fair folk may have come from. I should warn you, the history may not be very pretty, and not in the way you might expect knowing the fae.
Love me some fighting and dark types and I think that's because of how easily nearly every single one of them could work in a fighting game. Primeape and Absol being not just my favourite in each of their respective types, but two of my top three favourite Pokemon of all time. Also love to a see normal/ghost type in a future game.
It would legitimately be a great typing. 2 Immunities and 1 weakness is really darn good, and depending on the abilities and items it could have even more. (Air balloon plus lightning rod equals 4 IMMUNITIES. That is God-d*** ABSURD.)
You and I are kindred spirits it seems. Frosmoth was a huge reveal for me, simply because I love the two types that much. The only difference is that I place ice as my number 1 instead, due to my everlasting devotion to the most frigid of forces. It matters not the game or movie, if ice is involved then there I am, single-handedly dunking the temperature. Hats off to you, you classy bean man.
My 3rd favorite Type at the number 1 spot. Neat. Bug was originally my 2nd favorite Type until the Fairy Type. And Fighting has always been my favorite with Pokemon like Infernape, Blaziken, Emboar, Heracross, Lucario, Scrafty, Mienshao, The Swords of Justice, Graploct, Falinks, Meloetta's Pirouette form (although I prefer it's Aria form more in terms of design, also sucks it's the ONLY Gen 5 Mythical to not return in Sword/Shield, but oh well), and my number 1 favorite: Hawlucha. Great list!
All 5 of my favorite types (ice, bug, grass, ghost, poison) got in the top 9?! OH, HELL YES! Fawful, I didn't think I could respect the hell outta you any more! Also, methinks bug deserves a legendary already.
We have Genesect. I know, it's a Mythical, but they're essentially the same thing as Legendaries. Only difference being they're usually only obtainable through events.
I get ice since it’s more glass, less cannon, but how are bug types bad? They’ve got some of the fastest/most powerful Pokémon out there. I’d say at worst, it does what electric does, just not as good.
@shitcanget AKA yikes! The resisted STAB doesn’t hinder the type as bad as people think, since most of the STAB makes up in utility when paired many of their amazing type combinations and many Bug mons with notable stats and gimmicks left and right. If it had more neutral coverage then the type would be more of a problem.
Literal sad no mention of Hatterene in the fairy segment, I feel like it's one of the best fairy types period for the type Still enjoy the list though, glad to see you as always
@@JaelinBezel It's Psychic/Fairy, but I feel like it leans more into the fairy part with it's design and ideas, a similar sentiment that Logan also mentioned in his segment for Psychic Types (in general they tend to owe their cool designs and lore to the other types they have) Hatt's just my favorite mon is all, since it's so badass. The thing was literally worshipped as a god and is known to beat the crap out of anyone that gets too uppity around it.
@@JaelinBezel Witches are a big part of fairy tales and it draws it's inspirations from fairy tales heavily. It's hat also has a princess cap mixed into it, it's true form resembles classic depictions of fae and sprites, and it behaves in a similar manner to the fairies in those tales. You could very easily say it's the Pokemon equivalent of the Rapunzel fairy tale (the witch, princess, and tower all in one, further enhanced by the G-Max which turns it into a giant tower) or Morgan Le Fay (a fairy who was a witch and also a princess) Hatterene's very much a witch, I'm just saying that it leans more into the mystical and otherworldly fairy parts of that than just straight up magic or what-have-you. It even has curing and healing properties, numerous grass moves and lives deep in enchanted forests.
Hatterene is a powerful enough empath to pick up on creatures' emotions from over 30 miles away, but can get overwhelmed and lash out in response... Why does this feel more familiar than it should?
Fighting is such an amazing type. It has so much going for it: -Every design is at worst interesting, since there’s so many foghting styles (judo, karate, sword fighting, boxing, kickboxing, spinning I guess, and just being strong in general. Heracross, Hitmonchan, Grapploct and Pangoro are some of my favourites. -So many great moves: Brick Break, Drain Punch, Aura Sphere, Focus Bla- nah just kidding. But it feels like so many of them bring something new to the table. -Any time it gets paired with almost any type it feels like something new and fun. Yes, even Fire. I absolutely want to see another Fire/Fighting type And, the most important reason of all… …a lot of them learn the elemental punches. Idk they’re just cool

Koko giving respect to all the zappers. Samantha brings the thunder! 6. One of my favorite types in recent years. Physically the best by far! Jemina can punch with the best of em! 5. And surprising given your previous list. Frosmoth and Annie really are that good huh? 1. The insects reign supreme. Congratulations Poppy!
I’m happy that 2 of my favorite types made it into the top 5, (Ghost and Grass), and my third fav made it into the top 9, (Poison)! It’s cool that we have similar tastes.
Well, it's like what Karen said: "Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites, the Pokemon they love best. Awesome list, Logan! You are one unique Pokemon trainer!
So, I've only used an Ice type mon once, that being Alolan Ninetails. Just like he said, Ice is super strong offensively, a huge part of the reason why I was excited to use one. At first it was just an A. Vulpix that I had gotten on the Elite Four island of Alola, and it was super weak. It did barely any damage and died super easily, but I just chalked it up to Vulpix being inherently weak along with it's moves. Then I finally got the stone to evolve it and..... it was still super weak, and I was pretty annoyed. I worked hard to get it's evo stone, TMs, and leveled it to be the same as the rest of my team, so I had put in that much effort to make Ninetails strong only for it to not work. Then I did something I should've done from the beginning. I looked at it's stats, and found out that for some reason it's special attack was horrible. Obviously the next step was to look at it's nature to see if that was the reason, only to find out it was a nature I didn't know, which isn't that surprising as I only know the three neutral ones. You've probably already guessed but it's nature was one with negative special attack, which obviously sucks. So what did I do? I loaded that Ninetails with only status moves, and boy howdy did it make the rest of the game a joke. TL/DR: Get's bad nature Vulpix/Ninetails, turns it into status goddess, and learns how broken status moves really are.
I will never understand Gamefreak's decision to put that strong 100 Special stat Ninetales had in Gen 1 into Special Defense instead of Special Attack and leave it with a mediocre 81 in Special Attack.
Alolan ninetales is lowkey one of my favorite Pokémon. Instant access to blizzard and aurora veil without needing to use a turn to set up hail is amazing.
I still find it so weird how Ice is the rarest type of them all (Being the natural counterpart to Fire you think there'd be more), and how until very recently they were almost always locked to the end of the game. Dragon I get. Not so much Ice.
Makes me sad that Psychic was so low, considering that it's my favorite type, but I understand that not everyone prefers my mental mastermind friend. I respect your decisions
You got _soooo_ close to my top three of Ghost, Grass, and Bug (with Ghost being at the top) Also, fun fact: Ghost is literally _the_ most versatile type in terms of dual typing, with the only two type combos not existing with Ghost-Rock and Ghost-Normal

It would legitimately be a great typing. 2 Immunities and 1 weakness is really darn good, and depending on the abilities and items it could have even more. (Air balloon plus lightning rod equals 4 IMMUNITIES. That is God-d*** ABSURD.)
@@johncronk8867 Maybe that's why we haven't got one yet.
Ahhh Fawful's Minion.
The only youtuber I always use captions with. Gotta understand those word flourishes.
Great list!
The Bug type is that one kid in middle school who started off shy and weak, and when you meet him in college he’s a party animal and swole.
Well, that went from caterpie to buzzwole quickly
All 5 of my favorite types (ice, bug, grass, ghost, poison) got in the top 9?! OH, HELL YES! Fawful, I didn't think I could respect the hell outta you any more!
Also, methinks bug deserves a legendary already.
We have Genesect. I know, it's a Mythical, but they're essentially the same thing as Legendaries. Only difference being they're usually only obtainable through events.
Do ultra beasts count? They have legendary stats
Wambu will be happy cause one how high ice is and his of is loved by the person he sponsores
The Electric entry is just "Tapu Koko's back must hurt from carrying this entire typing."
Well it is perhaps his 2nd favorite Pokémon behind at least eternatus. I can’t blame him lol
@@PFEANYCS Tapu Koko is his favorite overtaking Darkrai from that spot
@@Jessica_Schweser yeah, but isn’t eternatus his new favorite?
@@PFEANYCS I’m not sure actually
The way you wheezed after listing ALL the grass types you liked...
This is why I'm subscribed to you. XD
Approve of the number one, Heracross is one of my fav Pokemon ever.
Golisopod is a contender for my favorite
I really like volcarona. And I also have a soft spot for ledian.
I’m torn between Mega Beedrill and G-Max Centiskorch
For me my favorite is Galvantula but special mention to Scolipede and Ribombee for being some of my favorites too
At last, the artist of alliteration attacks again!
I see what you did there.
Toxic during Poison's segment was brilliant 😆
It's funny how ice and bug (the two objectively worst types) are the best types
I get ice since it’s more glass, less cannon, but how are bug types bad? They’ve got some of the fastest/most powerful Pokémon out there. I’d say at worst, it does what electric does, just not as good.
@shitcanget AKA yikes! The resisted STAB doesn’t hinder the type as bad as people think, since most of the STAB makes up in utility when paired many of their amazing type combinations and many Bug mons with notable stats and gimmicks left and right. If it had more neutral coverage then the type would be more of a problem.
Frosmoth is basically ice type Volcarona.
Correction: His favorite types. Not the best. They are absolutely atrocious objectively
Not really, Grass and maybe normal are arguably worse than bug (in the case of grass it’s not even arguably it is worse)
As a Leavanny fan.
Number one made me smile. Another banger.
Ice and Bug are my two favorite types. Glad you gave them the praise they deserve.
Literal sad no mention of Hatterene in the fairy segment, I feel like it's one of the best fairy types period for the type
Still enjoy the list though, glad to see you as always
It's not psychic?
@@JaelinBezel It's Psychic/Fairy, but I feel like it leans more into the fairy part with it's design and ideas, a similar sentiment that Logan also mentioned in his segment for Psychic Types (in general they tend to owe their cool designs and lore to the other types they have)
Hatt's just my favorite mon is all, since it's so badass. The thing was literally worshipped as a god and is known to beat the crap out of anyone that gets too uppity around it.
@@stronghold325 always seemed more like a psychic type to me, since it’s got the whole witch hat thing going on.
You could very easily say it's the Pokemon equivalent of the Rapunzel fairy tale (the witch, princess, and tower all in one, further enhanced by the G-Max which turns it into a giant tower) or Morgan Le Fay (a fairy who was a witch and also a princess)
Hatterene's very much a witch, I'm just saying that it leans more into the mystical and otherworldly fairy parts of that than just straight up magic or what-have-you. It even has curing and healing properties, numerous grass moves and lives deep in enchanted forests.
Hatterene is a powerful enough empath to pick up on creatures' emotions from over 30 miles away, but can get overwhelmed and lash out in response...
Why does this feel more familiar than it should?
Number 4: I actually used one for once in Gen 8.
What a great video
You had me slain at the 0:15 mark. Very, VERY well done Logan.
So, in conclusion, Logan's two favorite types are also the least competetively viable. O O F. Worst part is, I can sympathize. Bug is my favorite too.
Idea: make a lot of ice type moves only available to be used by ice types, and make them good as well. It’ll incentivize people to use them.
Fighting is such an amazing type. It has so much going for it:
-Every design is at worst interesting, since there’s so many foghting styles (judo, karate, sword fighting, boxing, kickboxing, spinning I guess, and just being strong in general.
I absolutely want to see another Fire/Fighting type
And, the most important reason of all…
…a lot of them learn the elemental punches. Idk they’re just cool
Yeah it's kinda my favorite as well.
Also "spinning" (if your referring to Hitmontop) is capoeira.
It's always a good day when we get a new Fawful's Minion video
And what a list this was!
wow I was real close for that one, but damn man BUG?!? That is Insane?!? XD
love ya videos dude keep being that loveable joke cracking maniac
25:40 ain't that the truth
your script is stellar as always! great video

“Nothing but your nothing”
That might be one of the best puns I’ve seen, ever.
I love how i don't even remember the last part pretty well so pretty much everything's possible in my head
Here's part two!
9. The light in the darkness for dear Fina. My favorite is actually Klefki.
8. Wow... your opinion on this has really improved. Sandra is pleased.
7. Dang... Koko giving respect to all the zappers. Samantha brings the thunder!
6. One of my favorite types in recent years. Physically the best by far! Jemina can punch with the best of em!
5. Forget what I said at number 9. Darkness and Amanda reign supreme.
4. Guess bulbasaur, sceptile and Green are incredible huh...
3. Great concept thy name is ghost and also Maggie!
2. Frosty! And surprising given your previous list. Frosmoth and Annie really are that good huh?
1. The insects reign supreme. Congratulations Poppy!
When you embrace the dark you will find an odd comfort in it, and while it hides horrors it also hides you from them
How do you manage to have so many good puns and wordplay for pretty much every topic in human history?
LIKES FOR THE LIKE THRONE!
COMMENTS FOR THE ALGORITHM GODS!
FOR THE GLORY OF CONTENT!
Actually the Bug type being super effective against Dark being a Kamen Rider reference also explains why Bug and Fighting resist each other.
THANK YOU FOR REPPING THE BEST TYPE AS NUMBER ONE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW VALIDATED I FEEL
Me: *sees ghost and fairy types in top 10 and 5*
"I see. You too are a person of culture as well"
I’m happy that 2 of my favorite types made it into the top 5, (Ghost and Grass), and my third fav made it into the top 9, (Poison)! It’s cool that we have similar tastes.
Shout out to all the bug pokemon. Game freak hates you but we love you 😎
Why does Ice not resist Water, they're literally the same element in different forms of matter
I think it's cause ice melts when put in more water than the ice
Logan- uses Crocker
Me- Make a Dinkleberg meme in the next video
man. one of my favorites in poison making it into the top half. my absolute favorite type grass getting number 4? major respect!
I’m a year late but greetings fellow poison and grass enthusiast. You have immaculate taste 👍
We have waited all of 2021 for this list. LET'S FINISH IT!
I love how you had my two favorite types in the top 3
Well, it's like what Karen said: "Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites, the Pokemon they love best. Awesome list, Logan! You are one unique Pokemon trainer!
Wonderful intro to the number 9! AWESOME! not forgetting that any time soon
Toxtricity playing 'Toxic' by Britney Spears is brilliant
Man, seeing your videos is making me want to become a Pokémon trainer again.
@@AuraStrikeAce Maybe because Arcanine is the offensive one of the duo? That's what I think anyways
Alolan ninetales is lowkey one of my favorite Pokémon. Instant access to blizzard and aurora veil without needing to use a turn to set up hail is amazing.
Bugs are best I agree good vid
*SPOILERS*
YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! BUG TYYYYYYYPE!!! LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I am a Bug Catcher and Proud.
I still find it so weird how Ice is the rarest type of them all (Being the natural counterpart to Fire you think there'd be more), and how until very recently they were almost always locked to the end of the game.
Dragon I get. Not so much Ice.
Too many of them melted into being water types
Makes me sad that Psychic was so low, considering that it's my favorite type, but I understand that not everyone prefers my mental mastermind friend. I respect your decisions
of course bug would be #1
that one i saw coming from half a hoenn sea route away
This reminds me that the
Pokémon Go Fest 2021 is coming very soon on the 17th & 18th of July. As a huge event for celebrating 5 years of Pokémon Go.
It’s funny how ice is his favorite kirby copy ability, and it’s his second favorite type here.
You got _soooo_ close to my top three of Ghost, Grass, and Bug (with Ghost being at the top)
Also, fun fact: Ghost is literally _the_ most versatile type in terms of dual typing, with the only two type combos not existing with Ghost-Rock and Ghost-Normal
Wouldn't it be funny if the first ghost normal type was just a classic bedsheet ghost?
@@maxwell4508 Oh my god I would unironically love that
@@maxwell4508 and it had levitate as an ability?
@@PFEANYCS yep
0:15 right here is where he wins the internet boys.
Great list overall. I especially appreciated the love for the Fighting and Grass type 'mons.
I mean, he would, if more people knew about him…
