I've been on a leather crafting video binge, seriously, bags under my eyes, up until 4am last night, got 4 hours of sleep now I see this video and finally I'm satisfied. This video is the first to show an actually fine leather good being made as opposed to the normal slapping stuff together and using creative camera angles to hide the leather good's actual deficiencies. Not only is the wallet in this video finely crafted, we get a sense of the care, patience, and focus that goes into the making of a mostly handmade fine leather good. Thank you. Sometimes we want to stare into the mirror of youtube and see ourselves for a moment.
I've watched many videos on wallet making, this by far beats them all. Truly stunning, and insprational in my early steps of leatherwork. Thank you!
I am so happy that I found your channel! This is an absolutely WONDERFUL tutorial. The camerawork and closeups are so clear and allow viewers to see everything. The fact that you are filming your work in real time is very helpful! I see that you have other videos posted and that is so convenient for viewers to just go down the list and watch everything. I certainly intend to! It would be helpful if you could show the bottle of the products you are using at the time in each step or add a little note onscreen since it's hard to read the English part of the labels. I see that you have answered the question when people ask what product it is, so that is much appreciated. I am anxious to watch all your other videos and I'm hoping you post many more. Thank you for sharing your wonderful skill!
I love your videos - have learned much from them. I'm curious why you're using a different stitching technique here compared to what you show in part 2 of your saddle stitching video. I'm still learning so I could be missing something obvious.
I love this design! I would very much like to make one of these for myself. Would you consider selling the pattern or making it available for download? Thanks! Great work!
@@ZESTIEN sorry I mean when a wallet have two faces . So when you punch a hole from outside. How do you make sure the edge of the card slot not broken? e.g. there are 4 holes for a card slot. How first and forth hole not to break the.edge
Since I set the position of the stitching holes at the design stage, I just need to make the holes straight as designed. Experience and intuition are also important.

It looks like he is using a Japanese leather knife in which case he is holding and using correctly. Held at a slight angle, the natural angle of the wrist compensates for the angle of the bevel on the blade and results in a perpendicular cut.

When you punching the holes from outside body, how do you avoid the holes not to punched ( or show up)between the card slot?

Accurate design and cutting, it is important to make a vertical straight hole.
