  • Using an electric stapler provides an easy alternative method for attaching your quilt backing and top to your longarm leaders. Come with me as I show you my first time using the stapling method on a quilt 82" x 97". It is a very fast method that holds your fabric in place on a rolling rail frame for quilting. I was very happy with the results on my Continuum II frame and Qnique 21X Elite longarm. I will definitely use this method again.
Check out the QCT Online Zoom Meetings with the Quilted Poodle where we talk about and demonstrate helpful tips and techniques to make your longarm journey more successful. Emphasis is given to computerized quilting using Quilters Creative Touch Software.
You can register for the next monthly meeting on The Quilted Poodle's Facebook page. Meetings are always on the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm, EST. / thequiltedpoodle

I’m brand new and thought of stapling fabric to leaders. Your video made me courageous. I tried it and love it!

I will try this today. I love the idea. If it works out for me I will invest in the electric stapler. Thanks for the video.
Ok so I did try it. It’s great. I will be investing in a power stapler. I have two tips to add. 1. Make sure the flat part of the staple ends up on the fabric so it is easier to remove. 2. I found that if I stapled about where the lines are on my leaders it seemed to be a good spacing and was plenty of holding power. Thanks again.

Great idea. I already use the zippers the red snappers were too hard with my arthritis but i like the the thought of no longer pinning the fabric to the zipper portion.

Thank you for this video! I’m going to give this a try.
Would you consider doing a video on loading fabric to the continuum frame? I know how to float but not confident on rolling the top fabric because the rolling bar for the top fabric on the continuum 2 frame sets quite back. I could use some help with that.

Do you mean rolling the edge of the quilt top on the lower rail? Not a fan either of how far back it sits. But do prefer to roll my larger quilts on the rail, rather than float.

@@TheQuiltedPoodle yes I would like to see how you load a large quilt top fabric onto the bar that is below and behind the belly bar.
