Aww, I was one of the timekeepers that day. I came across your videos recently when watching 2024 Chester Marathon videos. I ran the metric (or tried). I really appreciated your DNF video because I feel alone sometimes when runs don't go to plan, and it's nice to get all sides of running life - highs and lows, so thank you.
There certainly are highs and lows in running. Never feel alone as even the pros have bad days. Remember Paula Radcliffe sitting at the side of the road in the Olympics. We pick ourselves up and keep on keeping on! 🙂
The one parkrun that I'd love to do is in Cumbria, but not where you might think. Black Combe parkrun takes place in the prison at Haverigg. Been to the Haverigg area many times, visiting the stunning coastline. It's been a highly successful addition to the inmates recreation. One inmate, when released, attended a parkrun and came second.
I think my all time favourite parkrun is either Poolsbrook or Brierley Forest 🤔 I do like running near water. There's something built into us that makes us appreciate it, I think. We'd be in bother without it!
Delamere is my local park run, amazing place to run. Sorry to hear the marathon didn’t go as you wanted Dawn, but fantastic effort to put on the England vest and go for it. I guess it makes us appreciate the good days even more. Wishing you a speedy recovery and You will be back in no time.
I see Delamere I think Leigh Delamere, an excellent service station on the M4. No parkrun there though! Certainly more beautiful than the service station. Does Delamere mean anything in ye olde Englysh?
Interestingly opinion seems to be divided between `forest of the lakes' and the French `of the sea'. Probably the latter as it is nowhere near the sea.
Is that a Forestry England location? They do some lovely Parkruns about the country but they do quite like a parking charge I notice, and are much less keen on a Parkrunner discount rate
Nice, nice, nice account 😂 my favourite run is an out and back. I judge my run by how far out I can get before the first runner comes charging back. If I get quite a way I really hope he,'s having a good run 😊

Aviemore is my favourite out and back. Definitely a PB course if the weather is favourable
Not one we've done, but if ever in that area one, we'd definitely do. 🙂
Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire has a separate start for runners with dogs. Great video!
Thanks. 👍

parkruns inside prisons can only be positive thing. Maybe become a prison volunteer to get yourself in for parkrun...

Poolsbrook is nice.
Brierley Forest is nice.
Running by water is nice.
Thanks for the nice comment.
Etc etc 😂

I'm only on 143 parkruns but for my 250th I would chose Sewerby at Bridlington as I love the cliff top views & runs through the woods
It's one of our favourites so can see why it's your choice. 🙂

Thank you. We all get highs and lows in running, and unfortunately, we dont get to choose when they are...
Yes, it is a very nice place to run. 😁

Great video again I’ve never done a park run I really must get myself down to Pontifract park it’s only 2 mile from where I live
That's a good one to do. 🙂

Yes, it is, and yes, parking does seem a bit expensive. Luckily, on this occasion their was a parkrun discount. 🙂
I'm surprised carparking isn't free around there. Is it a commuter train stop?
Not sure if it's a commuter train stop. It was just outside the forest.

Talking of out and back when does Weymouth start on its winter course?
@@tworunningbrooms not until somewhen in December
