I was getting confused with Poole parkrun, I was expecting you to run round the big lagoon 🤦🏻♀️ Fantastic time Dawn. I’d be lucky to keep up with you 😁 As for a railway, there was one at Kingsbury Water park that we visited last week. First visit there and really enjoyed the route. This week we went to Brunswick Park in Wednesbury. A tiny event, 60 this week but the 2 previous weeks were in the 40’s. 3 really enjoyable and interesting laps of a grade II listed park…. and it wasn’t flat either 😅
Thanks, Matt. Maybe if I'd taken more notice of my pace, but really, I don't think it would've made a difference as John was always ahead and just inside the pace I needed to run. So, really, all I had to do was atick on him, and I couldn't. Next time...🙂
You guys know how to keep challenging yourselves with those parkrun goals! I hadn't heard of this app but I should download it, not that I'd break any records at Shrewsbury parkrun 😁
Yes this is the summer course. Although it's now November. The winter course is an out and back seafront one on a good surface with just two 180 degree turns. I would reckon the latter to be quicker.
I be honest I haven't done many parkruns but running for an ultimate pr is probably off the cards with them. My last parkrun was just like the m25 at rush hour with speed limits 😅 I don't wanna go to the front as I don't wanna ruin anyone's run so I just take part and see it as a training run. There's probably parkruns that have lots of space so I'll look into that.
There certainly are many parkruns with the space for everyone to have a faster run for them. We tend to head to ones we know have an element of competition when we want to go for it. The beauty of parkrun is with the variety out there. 🙂
A valiant effort! Well done for moving up the rankings, Dawn 💪🏃♀️
Thank you, Mark. Not meant to be on this occasion. Next time. 😁

@@racheld1844 yes we remember Kingsbury Water. Wednesbury sounds lovely. I like the sound of a small parkrun and high placing 😂

I was the guy in the Dodgers hoodie that scanned you both, thought I'd clocked you earlier!
Thank you for scanning. We had a really good morning. 👍
Well done Dawn, so close !

The app is purple with a white silhouette on it. It has some very useful information.
What an effort!!
Thank you. 😁🏃♀️💪
Brilliant running 👍
Thank you! 👍
I really enjoy these videos where you set yourselves mini targets and measure yourselves against them. Keep challenging yourselves.
Thank you, Simon. It's all good fun. 😁
Bognor Regis ParkRun has a model railway. It’s a four lap course (one small lap then three larger laps) and you run over the tracks several times.
We did that parkrun several years ago, but neither of us remembered that. 👍
Well done. Often been to Weymouth but yet to do the parkrun. Looks like a good one.

Moors Valley parkrun near Ringwood in Hampshire also has a model railway
We can't remember that one from when we did it. A return trip is needed. 🙂
Brighton & Hove parkrun in Hove park has a small railway on your right at the far end
Thanks. We've not done that parkrun.
Well done Dawn - another cracking run
Thank you. 👍
Amazing running, very inspiring, well done 👏
Thank you, Lisa. 👍🏃♀️

Huddersfields got a miniature railway.
Yes, we remembered that one after we filmed. 🙂
Chasewater in Staffordshire has a heritage railway
We vaguely remember that one. Thanks. 🙂
Worden Parkrun, Leyland has a model railway beside the course.
Thank you. Not one we've done.
Rother Valley Parkrun has a miniature railway?
Correct. Had forgotten about that one.
Ferry meadows Peterborough has a train track line
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Which park run app do you use? I have parkrunner results the blue one , but it has no age records.
The one with a purple background with a white silhouette on it. You can check out all parkruns and find the records by going to detailed stats.
