Congratulations on the 600. My fastest and slowest parkruns ever were the same event. Someone had a heart attack on the course so they cut it to 2.5 miles, so i crossed the line in my fastest ever time, and they gave everyone 59.59. They were OK which was the main thing.
Wow. Congratulations John on the magnificent 600th parkrun. It's clear this weekly timed event has been a massive part of your running journey. 10 parkruns in a day with all sub 20, is quite incredible. Very impressive. I've never turned up at a parkrun which wasn't on but did turn up without my barcode. Run director said, sorry but no barcode = no time. I said, fine. No time = no parkrun, and just went home. 77.01% is best age grade 2x 1st place finishes. I have a 100% win record Blackpool. 1 attempt - 1 win.
Congratulations John another 400 to go ! The only parkrun i haven't enjoyed is Harrogate, unrelated to the rubbish course i also got a shoe stuck in the mud there and it came clean off. A bit embarrassing 😂😂😂
Pacing is also my favourite volunteer role John. I paced 30 minutes at Wilmslow today but finished a second early, 29:59. :) It was my 239th time as pacer but I will be letting others do the pacing next week as it will be my 75th birthday parkrun.
Fantastic achievement John, congratulations on your 600th parkrun👏👏👏 I remember doing Mallards Pike parkrun in Gloucestershire in 2022 with an uphill for the first 2.5k but then 2.5k downhill
My worst was Cornwall, in Auckland NZ, where I twisted my ankle on the tree roots on lap 3, despite the efforts of the Tree Root Marshall. Worst hill was Lanhydrock, exacerbated by wrong shoe choice as I had planned to do Eden Project, which was cancelled due to a concert.
Well done on the 600 🎉 The worst conditions I’ve run in was driving snow at York in March 2013. I got my best place at that course - 64 although I think there were only 69 there in total 😃
Congratulations on the 600 John. I think you’d be more than qualified to take a spot as a parkrun tourist information consultant 😁
That would be a great job!

Glad they were OK!

I can just imagine that conversation. 😀
You guys really motivate me to run, I’ve done about 260 park runs so nowhere near you, but I love the parkrun community.
That's very kind. And good luck carrying on your parkrun journey.
Congratulations John another 400 to go !

That's a new one, I've never had that happen. 😳

Excellent Colin! So how many times have you look at your watch in those 239 pacing jobs??
I think a demonstration of slipping over in the mud is the only thing missing from this otherwise superb video 😅
Congratulations on 600, John.
I'm not going to be the fall guy. 🙂
Love this. I need to do more tourism, particularly to assess the various breakfasts!
Especially when your home run is flooded. 🙂

Yes that was quite a swine. I was injured when we did that and I had to run / walk it in 39.59.
What an achievement John!
Thanks, Tim. 👍
Great video as always guys. - congratulations on the 600, amazing achievement!
Thank you Jason
Congrats on your 600. Worst hill Ive ran at parkrun was comfortably Flatts Lane near Middlesbrough. Twice up it too 😢
Yes, I've blocked that one from my memory. 😄
Congratulations on 600. My fav role is pre run course check as it gets me up and doing a decent warm up.
That's a good one,. Especially if it's a one lap course.
Congrats on the 600 John, great video!
Thanks. 👍
Well done the 600 ! Amazing 🎉🎉
Thanks, Matt. 👍

Oh dear some big mishaps there.
love your video!
Thanks
❤ how many times have you volunteered 😅😅😅
Haha. Enough to add to the sum of human happiness 😂

I can imagine driving snow across the Knavesmire!
Where is Penis town?
Barnsley in South Yorkshire
Yes, in South Yorkshire.
