If branching out to different genres doesn't work you can always try games like Rogue Trip and Vigilante 8

That's very commendable of you, like someone trying to at least meet in the middle to make a relationship work, trying to show commitment and respect where they can. The relationship may never be perfect but no ship ever is and that's alright.

I enjoy tm content, but the hard reality is there's limited content. I wouldn't mind branching out at all. Its completely understandable

if you turbo when you're on fire it puts it out. I noticed you usually let yourself burn. Same on Black

On TM2 for some reason, if you are already turbo’ing and then catch fire, letting go and then turbo’ing again won’t put it out. In fact it makes the “you’re doing it wrong” clicking sound.

Turbo also takes 5 to put out fires in TM2.

Yes finally TM2 for the win! I’m excited to see you finally seeing what makes TM2 so amazing. Also you did pretty good making it to Amazonia without a password.

Make that New York wow great job! I see you are better at controlling the cars now. The next big tip I can give you is you need to learn to freeze in combat. It makes the game a lot more manageable to fight everyone.

I despise TM2. Driving, shooting, locations, and presentation all feel good. My problem is the AI. Just annoying AI constantly spamming Specials like there machine guns, and always having them ready.

Congrats on the solid playthrough, Drew! Personally Roadkill here isn't my favorite, he's too weak-armored and weak-specialed (unless you get **lucky** hitting the boomerang when it's on its return) for me to give him more than an "ehh" and a shrug in TM2, but I'm happy the game was on its best possible behavior for you today!

Good luck with a few certain characters in the playthrough, mainly Hammerhead & Grasshopper. I'm mainly a racing game fan, but some series I have in mind are: Gran Turismo, Burnout, Midnight Club, Project Gotham Racing, Need for Speed, Mortal Kombat, Devil May Cry, Persona, & Grand Theft Auto.

This is the best game that has every existed. My Dad always played warthog and would wipe the floor with me. Mr Slam and Axel are the best by far.
Man this popped up randomly on my home page and gave me a huge nostalgia rush. That intro video is burned into my brain

Also as for the New York death, TM2 reverse is weird. If youre moving at all when trying to reverse and turn youll spin around. Something made even worse when on an incline.

Wish there was a way to play these or ANY twisted metal game with other fans besides on PC. Sony seriously needs to work on a Twisted Metal revival.

I am very new to the franchise, and got into from content creators like you and Nick.
So far I've played TM1, 2, and Head-On at least one full campaign, and honestly I think TM2 is my favorite thus far.
There are the usual reasons, the gameplay feel, the special weapons, the maps, the machine guns, etc.
Something I don't think gets mentioned too often is how EVERY pick up is useful in TM2. I loved TM1 and love it's grounded feel, but pick ups like the Oil, Road Spikes, and God forbid those dumbass springs constantly clog up my inventory.
TM2 introduced rear attacks which already cut the list of pick ups in half, but all the pick ups are useful.
Fire Missiles have just the right amount of homing, where I think Head On was way too generous and automated, and deal a fair chunk of damage.
Homers do less than Fires, but have a strong (but not infallible) homing effect, leading them to be reliable sources of extra damage.
Ricos have a large hitbox, force a lot of knockback, and obviously ricochet.
Power Missiles do a hefty chunk, and knock up on hit so they can chain into other attacks.
Napalms have a unique arc for attack enemies below you, or can be used in close range for immediate damage, and napalms hit hard.
Remotes do a crazy chunk of aoe damage, and can be used aggressively in tandem with the shield.
Lightning is obviously the weakest, but on maps it can used on, it is very easy to bait the AIs towards it, and the reward is worth it.

I'd really love to see you do a playthrough of the Fallout: Dust mod for New Vegas, I think that could really suit your style and cadence, and I'd just love to see you doing the challenge run for it

Definitely need to employ the Paris strat and the rico drop starts on Antarctica and new York which are super helpful for light armor characters and the one ramp trick for Moscow and the button sequence to turn on the rear view and alternative weapons list

Mmm, you say it yourself - you can't really appreciate something without thorough understanding of it. And TW2 is the best game in the series by a large margin even now, compared to any series entry. Yes, some elements are better in other entries, but in overall - nothing beats TW2 and that's my firm opinion.
Just play it with somewhat competent and competitive group of people and nothing in the series can hold the candle comparatively.
