23:05: I'd say they chose No-face for 2 reasons. The first is that he's a striking image that would grab people's attention. The second is that he conveys the tone of the game perfectly. When you see No-face, you know exactly what you're getting yourself into by playing this game. 28:02: It's because, while Crazy 8's special is significantly better than Brim's, it's also significantly more difficult to use properly. Not having to focus on using the special well makes Brim less stressful to play than Crazy 8 imo. 45:20: Wow, I've never noticed that detail!
Shag always coming in clutch with the awesome notes and details! I couldn’t agree more about No-Face. He does embody the visual style the game is going for. It’s also why they chose him to be the “star” of the trailers for the game, too.
I know you were concerned about the commentary suffering, but I honestly don't think it did. At 21:58 when you were on the awning over the hospital doors, you can actually activate the secret health on top of it. When the secret health is checking if you're in it's range, it does not account for height. So if you land there from the hospital interior, it will work there. Also the secret healths only work if you are sitting still, I've found.
Thank you for saying that Vilikis! And that helps a lot knowing I can activate the secret health from any height. That means the elevator on Downtown and the bridge on Drive-In are even easier to get than I thought!
Now you understand what I mean about the game being too slidey. Crazy 8 takes quite a bit of practice to get down since you have to use every button on the controller pretty much to do the max damage special.
I think TMB missed the opportunity to really give Axle's Super Nova Shockwave character. Instead of just being a generic energy wave, i think Axle should stomp his feet on the ground to create the shockwave.
The vehicle of Crazy 8 is One of the best looking vehicles in Twisted Metal and I also did change the textures for crazy 8 Making look like a Hot Rod 😁
As a kid I couldn't really look at the loading screens let alone the Character Psyche ward info-duction, He was that scary looking to me oh god especially the Cut scenes. I loved Twisted Metal though so I was dedicated to the game despite the dark and hardcore themes.

Honestly I feel like these videos were more fun when you were playing on normal. The relaxed and chill commentary felt better. Hard mode is just a drag.
I agree. Hard Mode is fun, but it takes so much attention to get through that I end up not able to talk about anything other than how difficult the game is. 😅

The end of Snowy Roads was fantastic, just because there is only 1 enemy with low hp is no excuse to get reckless.
