"who ever gets that solo is going to have work day and night" as If the new directions aren't known for picking songs like a week before going into the competitions 😭😭😭😭
this is my favorite episode... This was heartbreaking the first time and still is after 4 or 5 times watching...That Amy Winehouse song is sooo good...the auditions and the funeral...greatness...
This episode breaks me every time. There are just so many reasons why. Watching Naya is always bittersweet now, of course... and Rachel's "My Man" hits differently after Cory's passing. I can't listen to it or watch it without sobbing now. And everything with Sue's sister, and Becky just... it's a beautiful, agonizing perfect emotional storm.
all the audition songs are so good. my man is personally my favorite, because it's just very emotional to me. but i also loved them all, so it's hard to decide who should have won or whatever. all the cast is just so talented. love the reaction as always
I don't know exactly when she died, but I am positive it was way after the show ended. I heard the actress's health was beginning to noticably decline during the second season so her character was written off the show.
In this episode, when Sue talks about that string or tether, I think about my grandparents. When my grandfather died, my grandmother was never the same.
Try a Little Tenderness is probably one of the best, if not the best, vocal performances of this show. Amber really gave her all. She's one of the greatest of her generation.
For those wondering why they decided to kill of Sue's sister, it was because the actress got Alzheimer's, which is unfortunately common in people with Down syndrome because the gene is located on chromosome 21, of which people with Down syndrome have three copies instead of two. When Sue has a baby later in the show, they name her Robin, after the actress.
@@suz2590 First Try A Little Tenderness is a Ballard. Secondly 25% of Show Choir scoring is Chorography. My Man in the Funny Girl Fanny Brice arrangement is not suitable as a show choir song
@@dorothyvanbrocklin2424 for the ballad that they usually need it is. They have won with little choreo before, or they could still have simple choro in the background.
@@suz2590 this was a problem with Glee they (producers writers directors) got wrong because this is not how Show Choirs solos work. Show Choir Solos are never just one singer singing alone. I honestly didn't like this episode except for the Quinn Finn break up and some auditon songs. I always skip it because I don't feel zero affected by the death of a character I barely saw onscreen twice and I don't understand why the Glee club kids looked sooo sad at the funeral of someone they didn't know. Plus, that funeral song was ugly af.
This is one of my favourite episodes, there's no a bad song, although I'm partial to Rachel's My Man because it gets me in tears every single time. And the Sue storyline is heartbreaking but absolutely beautiful. I love your reactions! I know hating on Glee is more popular now than liking it but seeing you enjoying it so much reminds me of how much I adored it back when it was airing.
Exactly, this was a very good show (often great). The voices were good, the acting was good, the comedy was good, the drama was good. Was it over the top sometimes? Sure, but that just added to its charm.
Ugh this episode 😢 As a preteen this episode was honestly a little eclipsed by the Quinn/Finn breakup and hints of a Finchel reunion. Can’t believe I was ever so naive 😭

A week is very generous 😂
Their first sectionals competition, the songs were all chosen last minute
Jean was written of because she developed advanced Alzheimer's. Rather than replacing her, they choose to give her respectable send-off
They named a later character after her real name (Robin Trocki)
And when they introduced them, Trocki introduced herself to the actress as her Aunt.

My Man is iconic till this day!
This episode always gets me 😢
Ah man, every time I realise which episode this it sets me off. All the great songs, but I love Pure Imagination in this. It's so moving
It's so precious seeing you crying, because we're so used to see men hiding it so from now on i'll say it's your superpower
The woman who play sue sister has passed away in real life. I don't know if she passed away before this episode or after.
She passed in 2019 at the age of 63.
I don't know exactly when she died, but I am positive it was way after the show ended. I heard the actress's health was beginning to noticably decline during the second season so her character was written off the show.
Such a heartbreaking but beautiful episode
Pure Imagination is one of my favorite Glee songs.
The actress that played Sue's sister passed.
In this episode, when Sue talks about that string or tether, I think about my grandparents. When my grandfather died, my grandmother was never the same.
One of my fav episodes
I think I’ve cried more with each episode with YOU more than I did when I was watching this in real time😢 you’re my favorite reactor
Rachel was AMAZING!
Travis’ face during Mercedes and Jesse’s argument. 😂
Also one of my fave naya performances 💔💔
Try a Little Tenderness is probably one of the best, if not the best, vocal performances of this show. Amber really gave her all. She's one of the greatest of her generation.
I cried during the song also... my dad died a few weeks before.
Mercedes ate
Naya was sutch an amazing singer so sad she is no longer with us😢
Mercedes singing Otis Reading literally gives me chills. Those runs and adlibs at the end are just incredible.

I think the actress that played Sue's sister really passed.
I love your videos
I think you’d enjoy the Good Place!
I have a good place playlist :)
This is my favorite performance by Mercedes
love this ep but I was hoping you would post the end to the greys two parter tbh.
It’s on Patreon if the wait is too much to bear :)
Are you going to continue with Schitt's Creek?
I just posted an episode a few days ago ?
@@TravisViews wow must have missed it somehow so sorry
Rachel was better emotion-wise, but Mercedes put on a better show
It doesn't matter how good any of the songs were Mercedes sang the only song that transfers as Show Choir...and IMHO she was better too

I'm so over Rachel and her constant favorable treatment
Feel that
She didn't get favorable treatment here, though, and she accepted Shue's decision.

None of this surprises me about you

literally the second mercedes starts singing i get chillsssss she was the best singer in that group and deserved so many more solos
I remember getting the spoiler of some very loved character dying in this season when it was on air, everyone shooked when this episode came.
Oh Quinn's 'big plans'...... Keep watching Travis
Miss Berry won this one 😍
My Man is the one that hits different.
I cry every time
Amber Riley's cover of Try a little tenderness is so good. My favourite glee song. Every song in this episode is done so well
I really enjoy your reactions, although this is a sad episode it just made me so happy listening this songs with you🥺
Ugh this episode 😢 As a preteen this episode was honestly a little eclipsed by the Quinn/Finn breakup and hints of a Finchel reunion. Can’t believe I was ever so naive 😭
Definitely my second favorite episode of the series.
My Man is, for my money, the best solo on this show. Bar none.
Eyyyyy season 2!!! I just watched the glee documentary lol. It was really bad. But happy to rewatch with you ❤
