The problem is the attention babies need is changing diapers, feeding, cuddling, staying up late ect. They don't need discipline and they don't need you to get out of your comfort zone and "play". Kids on the other hand do. And if you have babies and everyone's telling you that's the hard part.. you think you've got this under control but as the kids grow you start to realize you don't have it under control and usually by the point they've realized this they've already had 2-3 more.
Loved Jo acting as one of the kids. This was really funny! But she is great. My husband and I started using her techniques 2 years ago when our foster girls were placed with us.

When my son shouted and cried, I told him calmly that I don't understand him and that he needs to talk to me calmly to enable me to understand him and do something about what is bothering him. Remaining calm mysel often helped him to become calm again, and then we sorted it out.

LOL , I and my brother had played with each other's toys including his action figures such as Long Rancher/Tonto and my Barbie/Ken dolls. It is normal children playtime that uses imagination with toys during playtime. Our parents had never made no issues over our actions of playing with opposite gender's toys as children. We as children don't think of gender nor sexual issues when we are playing but it is parent who having the gender issues over toys and wrongfully putting their own issues onto their own children. In most cases , children will outgrow imagination playing and go onto other things in life as we get older. No matter what , children should be able play with toys they want no matter their genders without parents making molehill out of nothing and making children feel like they are ones in wrong to want play with different gender toys. My other brother had enjoyed doing girly fun time of doing nail polish and makeup with my Mom and me as child because it was family bonding time between three of us and he doesn't do it as adult now. This was back in 1970s and 1980s childhood.
