- Jurassic World Dominion brought back some fan favourites of Ellie, Ian and Alan, but also brought back some fan favourite dinosaurs such as the Dilophosaurus! But one mega species that they didn't bring back was the Spinosaurus...or did they? The Spinosaurus might've actually have been referenced within the ranks of BioSyn by Ramsay Cole! The spino was honestly the one dinosaur i was wanting to see in dominion because growing up it was my favorite dinosaur in the franchise.

I was expecting the spino in the final battle, it was the perfect occasion, I really like the theri even before it was famous, but i wanted more a rex vs giga vs spino, maybe with rexy and the spino winning and roaring at each other like rexy and the theri at the end
so apparently the spino in jurassic park is a hybrid and jurassic world dominion didn’t want to have hybrids in the movie
One of biggest missed opportunities was honestly having the Therezinosaurus fighting along Rexy against the Giga instead of the Spino. It would have been so cool to see the Spino and Rexy teaming up against the Giga. I waited the entire movie to see the Spino. The spino absence is something that dragged down my rating of the movie.
It is a missed opportunity but stop having high hopes for a movie that had false rumours spread about spino being in it and then complain about spino not being in it
Yikes! The T.rex/Theri team-up was cheesy as hell. Having the Spinosaurus team up with a T.rex, a creature that it's notorious for killing, would just look stupid.

Theris are obnoxiously territorial and are considered the apex herbivore due to the aggression they have so it really isn't too surprising that they wanted to show off the apex carni and apex herbi against another apex.
Honestly i am/was annoyed the Spino wasnt in JWD. Its my favorite dino from the movies and its a disappointment when it didnt show up. I really want to see it in live action again

I was hoping to have the Spinosaurus in the Biosyn Valley, and the website where the Spinosaurus was technically official, and Ramsay's dialogue where he says the Giganotosaurus is the apex predator For Now just sounds amazing when you put it in to context Swrve.

This is the first time in my life I have EVER said this but, the spinosaurus SHOULD have been in that three way battle and not the therizunosaurus. The nostalgia is the only thing that really worked perfectly here and all of the dinosaur sequences are so quick and random anyway. Personally they had don that sequence so many times that by the end of dominion the “big boss battle” just wasn’t keeping my attention. But if Kayla shot that flair and it revealed the spinosaurus? That woulda given me a goosbump or two, brought closure to that animal. And just been over all way more satisfying. Never been for a rematch as I’ve always thought it seemed redundant and awesome bro, however since they went for repeatative awesome bro anyway….missed opportunity.
But just imagine this, the Giga and Rexy are having their stand off near a body of water like a lake, circling eachother one waiting for the other to make the first move, The Giga stops, causing Rexy to stop, Giga let's out a roar towards Rexy and Rexy roars back, like the scene in Godzilla vs Kong.
But as they're roaring at eachother and only their heads are in frame, you see a sail rise out of a lake in the background between them, and then a Head, the Spino steps out of the lake and Roars even louder over both the Giga and Rexy, making the two look at the Spino at the same time.

I'm pretty sure Ramsay Cole was talking about the Rex as Rexy was just brought to the Valley as of that conversation as they said "For Now" as they didn't know if Rexy would be able to become the Apex Predator as they didn't know if she was stronger than the giga as she just arrived so they probably meant either Rexy will become the Apex Predator(which she did) or the Giga would remain the Apex. I'd say the Spinosaurus is still on Mantah Corp Island as basically nobody knows the island exists so they wouldn't know the spino is there.

Byosin does have some mantah corp Objects like the chips to control dinos and the thing for not letting pteranodons attack
If you paid attention you can notice them the easier one to notice is the one of the chip
Well its the most logical because the Rex was actually there, Spino is just abit of a reach but also doesn't rule it out of being added in future for whatever reason but they never got that far.
In Camp Cretaceous Season 5's trailer you can see the Barbasol Can, but in Dominion, Dogson has it, so you could say thay Byosin and Mantah Corp are in contact

I was annoyed that the Spinosaurus wasn't in the movie but now that I'm thinking about it I'm a bit glad it's not in Dominion. The movie was just a mess and the pacing was weird. I have mixed feelings.. it was the most requested dinosaur by the fans. They did handle the Giganotosaurus badly.

I only think the Spinosaurus should have been in Dominion if it was shown for a brief appearance or name dropped a couple of times just to acknowledge that it exists in the franchise. If it was in the movie as a prominent character, it just would have been too chaotic. I LOVE the Spinosaurus and I love Swrve’s thoughts about it.
To be fair the movie is overly chaotic as is and doesn’t really have any prominent dinosaur characters outside of the marketing. If they’d switched the Theri out with it in the end I think the movie would have been better received
@@jurassicartandcustomsjac8914 I personally disagree, the Therizinosaurus should've very well stayed and not be replaced by an overly hyped dinosaur which should've been common sense not to be in Dominion. It's in Camp Cretaceous, so it hasn't been missing for so long, and it would've taken the spotlight from the main thing.

During that scene where Alan, Ellie and Maisie had to get off the ride and get through the Dimetrodon habitat, there was that scene that showed a Dimetrodon's sail moving through the water towards them, and as soon as I saw it I was so convinced that it was the Spinosaurus, since it did have very similar moments to that in Jurassic Park 3

I think almost everyone agrees that the spino should have had the theri's role in the final fight.
It would have been so awesome to have the ultimate fan favourite theropods, Rexy and Spino, team up against a greater enemy. It would have ended with them mutually respecting each other and going their separate ways. It would be an amazing closing arc to the whole "spino vs rex" story from JP3, and an amazing closing arc for the entire franchise.

Honestly, I feel like the Spinosaurus should have been the main antagonist dinosaur instead of the Giganotosaurus. It would've had more of an impact given how well known it is in the franchise, plus it already had an established rivalry with Tyrannosaurus in the movies.
I mean if you just put the Spinosaurus back as the antagonist, that would've been wasted potential to introduce another big dino

If they had more time, would have been neat to show all three having territory disputes, though now I'm not sure which fight I would have wanted to see for the climax. A three way would have been too chaotic as no one would team up that way.
@Baryonyx_world actually Giga is not the biggest theropod. Talking height and weight that’s Tyrannosaurus according to the fossil record, length wise it goes to spinosaurus. Heck even other Carcharadontosaurs like Mapusaurus might have been larger than Giga
@Baryonyx_world just cause it had a a possible mention in Indom DNA doesn’t mean it has a connection with the franchise heck that species isn’t mentioned in the Jurassic World Movie it’s mentioned via wiki. From a theatrical standpoint Spinosaur would have been a more fitting antagonist cause it has a viewed rivalry with T. rex
As a kid what brought me to the series of Jurassic Park was Jurassic Park three. I fell in love with our angry spiteful Spinosaurus. I do hope that if they bring him back they don’t kill him off. If they did bring him back to the series I could see him being very hard to get. I do believe that he’s a lot more intelligent than he looks. I do hope that in camp Cretaceous season five. That they change the roar back to when he was in three. Personally it’s a lot more menacing to me.
I think BioSyn rescued the Spinosaurus & other animals from Mantah Corp Island after the company's downfall to Italy for them to have a temporarily home to live in.
Malta is it's own country but it is in Europe so I'll give you that.

I think ramsay ment that the giga was the apex predator for now due to the trex just arriving that same day,meaning he wasn't sure or not if the rex and giga were gonna fight and have one be the new apex predator.
The way Dr. grant said “Apex… predator” I took as him having some PTSD and assumed the Spinosaurs was on site

Wdym the death of the giga?, The giga is way stronger than rexy and if rexy died giga would be the greates apex predator since rexy and giga we're the apexed of that area.
here is a thought, what if they make a spinoff movie where its like a full length Battle at Big Rock but features a Spino after it gets loose on mainland, maybe this could be a pre JWD and could include the Theri or Giga as well and make it a suspense horror and eventually lead to them getting captured. I don't see the two fighting and the Theri surviving so maybe they are far apart from each other and never meet. Or maybe they start to fight when Biosyn shows up and tranqs everyone. Could also be a good place to establish Ramsay like maybe he was there when shit hits the fan and eventually he finds a working radio and calls for backup.

Rexy is way too old and both the spino and the giga are bigger and is shown to be more powerful than a. Trex. Rexy herself lost twice to the giga but beated him with the theri help.

So here’s my theory: The Spinosaurus Was Transported From Isla Sorna to Somewhere around the world like North America
In 2015, Spinosaurus wasn't in Isla Sorna anymore, it was in that Mantah Corp island

With the ending of Dominion being left open for further additions I feel like the Spino is going to be captured and brought to the sanctuary or at least shown out in the world doing what it does
yall also forgeting that mamenchisaurus could of possibly been in the biosyn sanctuary too, as it was probably living its life with other sauropods like dreadnoughtus and brachiosaurus.

A lot of people claim the “at least for now” was meant to be the rex. Cuz he mentioned they just barely caught the rex and plan to release it. However, as shown in the rest of the movie the rex stood no chance and wasn’t a threat. It’s smaller and weaker from the scenes we saw. So the rex couldn’t have been what they meant. And honestly I think they meant spino.
Would have been super cool if spino was the big bad in the movie, maybe rexy would have gotten revenge, still love spino either way!
"At least for now" doesn't mean that spino could the next Apex predator, Ramsay could just be referring to Rexy or the Therizinosaurus.

Good theory, but Kayla tells to Owen that there are only 2 apex predators in the valley, T rex and Giga. So that kinda dumps this theory.
Ah but she doesn’t, she said “he put 2 apex creatures in the same valley, pretty soon there’s only going to be one” - this does not confirm that there’s ONLY 2, it only confirms the 2 she sees. We know there are 3 Tyrannosaurus’ at least. So she should’ve said 4 Apex Predators if she knew the total

Spino is the best. It's beautiful, powerful, deadly and misterius. Even that the DPG website explained its origins, he is stil a mistery. Maybe it was cloned in '99, maybe it was Hammonds secret project like the director of JP3 Johnston said. We will never know for sure

I'm not sure if anyone else saw this Easter egg ,but there was a miniature skeleton of the spino in Dr.Grants hut in the movie, but you gotta look closely, because there are two skeletons and they look pretty similar to each other, but you can tell one looks like the spino skeleton from jurassic world except miniature
there is a spinosaurus little skeleton in the back at Dr. Alan Grant station in JWD.

Yes, however apparently the Buck & Doe from the ending were already in the valley according to people working on the movie - so BioSyn already had Rexes

The only reason I can think why the Spino wasn’t in the film was because in JP3 the Spino was actually having a negative impact on the ecosystem, much like the Indominus Rex. BioSyn probably didn’t want that dinosaur running around killing everything in the valley
I think the Giga killed the spino and we will see this in season 5, Kayla Watts did mention the Giga put down a large predator when the Giga and Trex first met in dominion, also the this might be a reason why when you type spinosaurus in the url nothing pops up since it’s dead

Well, there's some debate here.
Spinosaurus is undoubtedly the _LONGEST_ carnivore, but that doesn't make it the biggest.
Height wise, Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus are both larger than Spinosaurus (Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus were 12 feet at the hips, while Spinosaurus seems to be between 9 to 11 feet at the hips).
So, in that regard, Giganotosaurus _would_ be larger than a Spinosaurus. Unfortunately, we don't exactly have enough information about Spinosaurus to be sure.
Grant was with Rexy too so what are you trying to get at?
To be fair rexy SHOULD be bigger since trex was the biggest predator (in mass)
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim I had a feeling this was coming and you might be correct, although there is still a lot of uncertainly especially with some estimations of spino being as long as 18 metres which would likely make it larger in mass even with a more slender frame.
However I am referring to the Jurassic universe based on the old version of Spino which is clearly bigger in both length and mass which Alan has seen with his own eyes

Okay, to be fair, I can understand why the filmmakers never put the Spinosaurus here in the final fight scene. We do have entitled brats that hated how the dinosaurs portrayed like in the Jurassic World films. I remembered how they complained how Rexy “saved” the protagonists even in full stealth instead of killing them or “ignoring” them, and lets not forget the meltdown of the raptor squad. But that’s because they’re missing the point on animal behavior both in real life and in movies. Plus, it was all Spielberg’s idea to characterize the dinosaurs in the first place, even the Rexy and the Buck T-Rex. Oh, and when they complained about it because none of the dinosaurs have characters in the books, that’s a huge lie if they didn’t pay attention that the raptors were hyper aggressive because of their lack of parental care and raised in isolation, and there was a raptor character named Clarence and even the Tyrannosaurus was nicknamed ‘Rexy’. I understand why they hate dinosaur characters in the Jurassic franchise and why they want dinosaurs as ‘wild animals’ because they want to see cool dinosaur action and they want them to be threatening because “this is what Jurassic Park is about”, but this is getting overboard as they’re trying to make dinosaurs as villains and monsters instead of sentient animals, and Jurassic Park wanted to teach us to respect our creations, not to discriminate them. (if you troll me or tell me that Spielberg wanted them act like animals, one, he says that but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t characterize them, and two, this is what I’m talking about)

I have a movie idea: a piece of indominus Rex dna was recovered however it was not enough to recreate the indominus so instead they make a brain or something that causes the brain of a Dino to be replaced with indominus rexes dna. They put the dna in a captured carcharodontosaurus. Upon inject over time the Dino begins to come more aggressive and it put to fight other apex dinos however over time it eventually escapes and terrorising some place. At the end the indominus carchintosaurus is trying to eat the protagonists however the loud disturbance has brought a certain someone from its slumber. The spinosaurus rises from a bodie a water and the boom carcharodontosaurus vs spinosaurus
When he said the Apex predator not anymore he was meaning they just imported the Rex and the Rex might be the new Apex predator
If I'm not wrong, on Twitter, Colin Trevorrow just confirmed that spinosaurus is the most powerful dinosaur of the entire jurassic saga even more powerful of the rexes, giga and indominus.

Jurassic world camp Cretaceous series introduces Sammy working for biosyn and in the 4th season they had a spino which as Mae said the dinosaurs came from Isla sorna which is a big leak enough to introduce spino to Jurassic world dominion

As someone who loves the Spino, I was hoping for it to be in the movie but despite it not. I was still satisficed of how it went.

I love the T-Rex, however, I would have loved to have seen the Spinosaurus! This would have been the perfect wrap around for the franchise! (Just FYI I understand some people do not like the Spinosaurus but Jurassic park 3 was the first Jurassic film I saw in the cinema and I know that the T-Rex could not have died so easily.) I am not a massive fan of Dominion, however, I think all of the films are great! Much love!
