Sony refused to port Bloodborne, so the PC community made it for them with better UI, better textures, better lighting and runs at 60FPS minimum. Sony refused to port Demon's Souls, so you guessed it, the PC community made it for them. Demon's Souls PC was playable on PC in 2017, and it runs buttery smooth nowadays. You can find it if you look. Are both complete remakes? No, but they are improved versions of the PS3 and PS4 versions which are playable on a PC so, to many, is enough. Sony's inability to read the room is alarming. I guess that is the mentality of a company that has got their way since PS1. They need to take the horse blinders off, analyse market demand and deliver what the market is begging for instead of spending $400M on failed projects over and over again.
The only reason I can see for this, other than Sony just being Sony, is that they're working on their own upgrade/port/remaster/remake and don't want us to compare it to the mod.
He's got the Platinum for it but bear in mind he's known for outsourcing his profile and paying people to platinum his games, not just his Doom footage that was bad but his Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart gameplay.
Can't cancel something that was never a thing. It has been almost 5 years since they flubbed up by saying Demons was coming. It was a mistake, I am now at peace with that. Everyone else should be too.

There was even some developments for the RPCS3 emulated Demon’s Souls Original on improving the graphics but to my knowledge, it just hit a dead-end. The remake would be great since all the community would have to do is restore what people hated about the remake like its art designs.

Some places like the Valley of Defilement look way more gross and grungy then the OG could ever look because of the superior hardware... BUT, it does artistically look worse than the PS3 version, and I do agree that they ruined the dark and bleak atmosphere of the original. Again, I don't think it looks too "clean" or whatever, its actual problem is that it looks more generic and boring than the original. For example the Vanguard Demon in the remake looks like a mini-boss you would fight in Diablo, not another worldly alien being like the OG. Or the Fool's Idol from being a divine a beautiful look being to just being Kali from mythology which doesn't just mess with artistic intent, it messes with the lore too.

I don't know why they DMCA'd the Bloodborne mod, but companies *usually* do that when they're planning to do something similar themselves. Miyazaki has expressed his interest in remastering Bloodborne before. and that "with new technology comes new opportunities".
Yeah as soon as you showed EconEra being their source I knew that there was nothing to worry about. Although I have lost almost all hope that Bloodborne will ever see a native PC port ever, I still am holding on for Demon's Souls Remake (and Gran Turismo 7 but who cares) getting a PC port.
Given that basically all their main games were ported , i think it's only logical they will look at games like gt7 , demon's souls , maybe the uncharted/GoW triology to continue the ports

Me watching all this as a big Armored Core fan thinking how all the money spent on it kept the lights on at FromSoft for 2 decades while still content that I got a new AC last year regardless of what platforms it was available on.
Even if this rumor is true it’s not really a loss because the original can be emulated, and racing games are a dime a dozen (plus, we already have far better racing games, like modded Mario Kart Wii/Double Dash).
I believe PS3 and it's emulator is the best way to experience Demon Souls since the remake made art and design changes which I'm clearly not a fond of. Sure, the graphics looks great in remake but I don't like the way they changed the design of that Fat Official from the original, changed the color of the flag leading up to the old monk from yellow to red(the yellow color was justified as it showed the control of Old Monk in the castle leading up to that point), I just believe the remake would have been great with just a graphical overhaul and not changing designs from original game. -Then again it's just me, some people might prefer the remake over the original and I have nothing to say for it

Half Life Alyx has been out since 2020 and Sony has made no attempt to get that on PSVR2 lol I thought that would have been a launch title.
