There are millions who blindly follow the BJP, in the name of religion.
From 2019 to 2024 through 30 tranches, ₹16,518 crores have been given by companies to all parties through election bonds. Looking at the collective robbery that took place. Henceforth, people who cast their votes should be paid through the Election Officer after casting their votes. All parties without distinction have made a compulsory collection by authority. Their employers are corporations. No party is going to be honest with people anymore. We will vote for this action. Daylight robbery is happening by saying that this is a democratic duty. The winning party loots day by day through various departments like enforcement, income tax, court etc. This is not democracy.

It is more about the gullibility of people in a particular ideology or belief system. .During communist era ,the people believed in Marx,Lenin,Engles Mao and Casto with the same tenacity as in any religion. Unfortunately, ths hold of any religion on the minds of ordinary people incapable of thinking rationally is immense. And India steeped in superstition is no exception. BJP IS encashing the emotions. Similarly, caste remains an influencing factor.

I am a retired psu bank manager. My tds deducted from my deposits fy 23were withheld against my 2004 salary. For the same year had filed itr and had got my refund of income tax. Luckily . I had my old documents and submitted the same. Till date no refund. Govt is enjoying
I can't wrap my head around the fact that MPs don't have to pay any income tax on MP's salary. Why? Along with more perks and allowances and bungalows... Why 0 tax? They also get to do other things than being an MP. Ordinary govt servants can't have any other income source. But the government itself can have!
Apart from that if they are caught in any scam like Adarsh, sitting MP cannot be investigated or persecuted unless they have approval from the house speaker which they never get.

Please go through current tax liability as you file ITR. Tax liability will be much less in the new tax computation system. Standard deduction is another benefit extended to employees.

2400 crore in 2004 itself, a smart intelligent man like Rajeev would have made 30-40 times of that amount in 20 long years. His overall asset must be 80000-100000 crore. If everything is legitimate no need to hide, making money legitimately is a success story, thing of pride. Only question is why is he hiding or the loopholes which allow it.

Imagine getting that much money way back in 2004, all legitimate money. The return got by him is also legitimate, even if he has created 1 lakh crore wealth that is totally OK. But why he needs to hide it (as it is not illegitimate or ill-gotten). Also, the loopholes in law, may be with more details Suchetaji can decode the loopholes.

He must have transferred to Trust or some holding company.. But agree with you about transparency on tax avoidance about all these wealthy businesses and their owners.. Salaried class pays maximum income tax across the globe. This problem is not unique to India, it persist across the globe. Income Tax should be abolished altogether as everyone pays via indirect means so adjust those rates rationally to make out the loss coming from abolished income tax. Personal income rax should go away to give level playing field to everyone.
Correct. Wealthy hold money in trusts for control as well as tax benefits and use legal means (including loopholes of course) We should worry about people with nothing becoming rich after joining politics and amount of agricultural income declared by politicians, too. My problem is with people like Sucheta is at the best they are selective!
Let us make country of honest people. Taxes write of for more than million tax payers shows some lacunae in system. Need to make tax system KISS. Keep it simple sirji so that common man can pay it and don't have to worry after 20 years. Ease of doing business have become nightmare and small busineses have been engaged in doing various compliances rather than productive and innovative work. Amount of productive time spent on this will not make prosperous nation. Need to revisit this and make life simple for citizens rather than make them criminals.

Basic human instinct is to pay less and get more and people with money will use all the instruments to avoid or pay less taxes. With India becoming a welfare state, Govt does need money to lift the societal standards. Regardless it's time to reduce red tape and stop bureaucracy behaving like our colonisers. have been fighting a case against a builder for not giving possession in 2017 (still hasnt)in consumer court for the last 5 years and no result either the bench is vacant or other things, all these billionaires get a fast tracking of their cases not an honest tax paying common citizens - all the rules are for us. I, being a govt pensioner, file my taxes scrupulously, as I do not wish to run around with IT related issues. The Indian salaried class is taxed most heavily but those in business have various escape channels and may pay very little tax compared to their income.

Tax avoidance is a legal right of every person while tax evasion is a crime. Where does this case stand ? Why this case has not been taken for judicial intervention by ADR or any other agency.
It has been taken up by several people. Complaints have been filed in the RIGHT forum, which is the Election Commission of India since this is about an affidavit before it becomes a tax-evasion matter. Please listen to the video and read the article at Moneylife.
@@SuchetaMoneylife Ma'am ur point is understood well, however the remit of election commission is different and it cannot adjudicate on the legality or correctness of the income declaration. If CBDT is dragging its feet then the only recourse is to approach court.

i was threatened with Jail term by Income Tax officials for I messed up the assessment year in my first ever income tax filing in my life. Even though a rectification was filed immediately the official at the income tax office in Alappuzha Kerala threatened me a lot.
