Seriously one of the best simulated flights I've ever seen on UA-cam. Excellent video. It's all I ever want from flight sims. Just a nice flight simulated from beginning to end with minor glitches along the way. not a professional pilot but armchair pilot. I don't expect you to do everything perfect but you did fly a successful flight... Great! Great! Video! I bow to you sir. For anyone who complains about anything done wrong or away from normal procedure, plz remember that this is SIMULATED flight and its for fun. I had fun watching.
ET346 should be the SELCAL code. I fly the Blackbox regularly so I'm pretty much used to its weird behavior. It will spool down on rotation so what I normally do is pitch it up higher with a faster than normal rate. And it climbs really slow. You gotta wait for it to reach the magenta marker on the speed tape for it to increase the rate of climb. I recommend hand flying it until at least 5000 or higher otherwise it will go crazy and stall the aircraft trying to follow the flight director. On descent the flight director just goes wacky as well so I just manipulate the V/S to match with the purple descent profile dot. Flight controls are sensitive so no over controlling more than necessary. All in all the BBS A330/A340 takes some getting used to and once you learn its odd patterns and behavior, you can fly it normally just like the Aerosoft. Just takes some patience.
+PC Gaming & Tutorials wow kid....jealous much ? tell u what kiddo ill cut ya a break because your what ? 11 ? 10 ? let the adults do there thing and come back when you are older and ya nuts have dropped.
Matt since you got the a340, it would be awesome to recreate the world's longest passenger service from Singapore to Newark. SQ stopped this service a couple of years back but it would be awesome to see this on a sim
Matt, I have used the A340 many times and have made a few videos on it and would love to know how you got the sound to be so good? Did you use a sound pack and if so which one please? Thanks Matt! Thomas
Oh my word another Matt Davies video. Perfect timing. I just got in from school straight onto UA-cam and saw this video thank you very much matt you just made my day 10x better
A pilot once told me at passport control that one of the biggest secrets in the airline industry is to not tell anyone that the earth is actually flat.
***** He may be right. How can you fly for 9 hours on auto pilot at 40,000 feet straight without compensating for earths downcurve? After 150 miles of flying on auto pilot, the earth should have curved down 2.803 miles, but the plane never changed altitude.
+79Sarwar 40,000 is calculated from ground distance, so whenever the plane goes ABOVE it, the plane WILL auto compensate. The pilot was obviously joking...
Sam Host I understand he may have been joking..... However, he cannot be lying to me that earth is 25,000 miles in circumference!! This is fact no? If earth is not 25,000 miles roughly in circumference, my education system has failed me. He told me that from the runway he can see Reunion Island from Mauritius Island which is 149 miles away. If the earth was round, the island should be 2.803 miles below the horizon making it impossible to see the island right? ------- Check this picture of reunion island looking out to mauritius island. The distance is 149 miles and the mountains should not only be 2.803 miles under, BUT leaning backwards. This is why I say he may not have been joking because the maths, and our own eyes don't lie. 4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZdIjbJE82XM/VaJ61yDpriI/AAAAAAAAfbA/gfYYKtLqUEo/s1600/1400492_10152381047668082_381362319_o.jpg
How did you get it run in p3d v3? i used the Migration Tool, but it didnt worked. My VC was totally freezed. Pls help!!! (PS: Sorry for my bad english, i´m from Switzerland.)
If I could list all the Piloting errors in this flight Matt would drag himself back to school immediately you simply Cannot expect the Airbus to perform as expected if she is not flown as she expects to be :) Thrust levers in wrong position .. and in Open Climb, while complaining about climb rate and acceleration ?? There are several computers built into this aircraft to sort it all out for you .. why try and be a "clever pilot" ? come one Matt .. RTFM ???
Before you go cri rising videos, maybe you could make your own so we know that you aren't just chattin' rim and then once you start, you'll see that everything in this video was correct, and your are just here to spread bs and cause annoyance 😌 I'm glad you released some jealously, however- maybe you won't be so uptight anymore. (Rolls Eyes) 😂👐
+Graham Waterfield, I call your comments "keyboard courage". It's always easy to criticize but I don't see that you have uploads to contribute on the site.
Thank you for sharing. You have possibly made me re-consider to take a re-look at my BBS widebody collection. But thank you for flying out of Abu Dhabi - one of my old hometowns..... Would like to see more middle eastern based long haul flights
Because that is the Oman Air tail, it's a Boeing 737-800 with winglets which is what most of Oman Air's fleet is made up of, and it's the only Oman Air flight to arrive in Abu Dhabi.
Hey Matt, great video, you've only gone and made me buy the A340 :P Just wondering if you were using a soundpack, as the engine sounds you were using were sounding a lot better than the default ones (I was using the Virgin a340-600 but I'm pretty sure they both have the RR Trent 700 engines).
I think the landing aircraft at Abu Dhabi was an Oman Air Boeing 737. I have worked at Abu Dhabi International Airport and know it well if you need any information about it.
I don't think it's a A380, I can't see 4 engines. And the Singapore airline flag is navy blue I THINK (So don't blame me if I'm wrong). It look like a 737 TBH.
Hahaha that was funny seeing the marshal dancing...GSX surprises me sometimes! What camera view software was you using, i like how you can smoothly center your eye point as you come in line with taxi way center lines.. its useful, rather than having to struggle trying to click the rocker switch into place for about 30 seconds using the FSX default static view! thanks again.
What do you use for your model matching in P3D? I need a good one and it seems like yours is the best. Loved the vid tho... The Blackbox A330/40 is the best as you said.. the problem why you could not climb is because you had the A/T enabled. And it pulled the power down to the point where you were not gaining altitude.
Hi matt ! I'm french, i speak french but with you I understand all what u say and you're just the best one so a big Merci for you and see you over the french sky ;)
Matt, thank you for your videos, you creating amazing stuff! Thanks to you I've started flying with Airbuses and I've learn from that time a lot. Keep it going! Best regards =)
Matt, what Abu Dhabi scenery did you use please? Would it be possible for you to put those sort of details in the comments section of future videos so we can see what you've used straight up. Thanks, great video (as always).
Hi Matt you have all the jetways working in all airports how can I get it however I have the AES and GSX ?? Also can you fight from Doha Qatar to Paris CGD airport thanks Matt and keep going Im a big fan lol.
If you want a nice approach fly into the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia! Really nice airport location right near the water and lots of beautiful scenery
Nice video Matt. BBS A340 is an ok/nice plane to fly. I take it that you're using TSS for the engine sounds. That sure isn't the default one. I've done the same for the Olympic Airlines A343 that I'm using.
22:13 hello there 777! Edit: To be fair I actually quite like it when the flight is bouncy it gives you the funny feeling! :D but NOT when your in the toilet and there’s turbulence 😂
Nice. Video Matt Did you by any chance come across and heavy dense clouds and have fps drop significantly? As I have and many others with asn build 5921? CheersMike
All sorted cheers mate! Be aware with Rex 4 and soft clouds latest update changes cloud.fx values from 0.50 to 0.67 with ASN live mode with dense clouds drops fps by half. Make sure you change values back to 0.50 Cheers Mike
I must admit... Those sounds on takeoff were 10/10.
Oh god, a blackbox aircraft... Lets see how this goes
57:48 Oh he's DANCING!!! Ahahahaha I like that voice of yours

2:28 That was a Oman Air
You're welcome, Matt
Looked like ryanair to me lmao
but it couldn’t have been
@op games u blind kid
Wasn't expecting a A340. Brilliant video Matt! As usual , you know...
I'm cabin crew for Etihad and this is one of the flights I've been looking forward to do. Loved the video Matt!
The good old A340. It is sad to see them going away. I caught one of the last A340 of Turkish Airlines on sunday
Nobody said they were going away, not even Airbus
Turkish Airlines are retiring all 4 engine planes they have because the maintenance for those are too expensive.
ET346 should be the SELCAL code. I fly the Blackbox regularly so I'm pretty much used to its weird behavior. FYI at 2:23 that was an Oman Air Boeing 737-800, probably flying in from Muscat.
First video I've watched of yours I don't usually like these videos but I love yours! Just subscribed!
EGLL-KJFK a340 Virgin Atlantic!!
A380
+Morody Gaming I don't think theres an A380 dlc up to matt's standards atm...maybe there is? Idk...
+WumbologyTM nope
k
+WumbologyTM surprised no developers have made one
Flying over Dubai was absolutely gorgeous!
Apparently, the cost index for Etihad's A340-600 is 32, but I believe it varies.
+Matt Davies Was Donwload And Internet ?
Just picked up some dinner, and got home to a new video by Matt. This is a good day!
Absolutely FUCKING LOVED THIS VIDEO! FUCK its so FUCKING GOOD.
It's fine if you liked it, just don't cuss.
same I apologise
Tell you what I will sub to you
Thanks

Hey Matt at 2:30 that was an Oman Air 737 coming in from Muscat
Awesome video Matt!
Do you think you can do some more VFR in the C172?
I enjoy all of your videos so keep it up!
Matt since you got the a340, it would be awesome to recreate the world's longest passenger service from Singapore to Newark. SQ stopped this service a couple of years back but it would be awesome to see this on a sim

This is one of my favorite videos of yours. Keep up the great work.
Two vids in three days!!
That airline at 2:20 is Oman Air, flag carrier of Oman, neighbour of UAE
lol after rotating i thought the engines had gg'd out
Same, very anti-climactic
+Playa4life or, indeed, possibly very dramatic. Simultaneous quadruple engine failure just after rotating would be quite the spectacle in real life :p
I'm an Xplane guy but the sounds on this plane are very good. The engines while you're in the air are so peaceful.
Can you fly HEL-____. Just something from/to hel and with Finnair's plane☺
Fly from Helsinki to Singapore (HEL to SIN) ;)
Wait i thought it was hell xD
Sorry if you are from finland
Do a São Paulo- London in a TAM 777-300er
57:48, is this some kind of P3D eastern egg?
757-200 Delta MWCR-KATL

Memes so dank son
+79Sarwar so stupid
Awesome video... maybe a flight into or out of the "new' ORBX Arlanda? A SAS hop to Copenhagen, or a longhaul to Chicago?
For the price, this aircraft is very good. It is better than most aircraft you would pay much more for in X Plane.
+The Marshmallow Man Yeah I know he's in P3D
freddieclarke13 say that again now...
How did you get it run in p3d v3? i used the Migration Tool, but it didnt worked. My VC was totally freezed.
Pls help!!! (PS: Sorry for my bad english, i´m from Switzerland.)

2:32 Oman Air B737 (probably from Muscat)
Thank you for sharing. You have possibly made me re-consider to take a re-look at my BBS widebody collection.
But thank you for flying out of Abu Dhabi - one of my old hometowns.....

Beautiful video! I love that takeoff engine sound! It gave me the chills, just beautiful
32:36 lovely shot there.

now im on holidays i love watching your 1 h long videos. Awesome mate!!! Really enjoyed it.
I think the landing aircraft at Abu Dhabi was an Oman Air Boeing 737. I have worked at Abu Dhabi International Airport and know it well if you need any information about it.
2:25 it's a Singapore airlines plane. now sure about the make/nodel
model*
Think it was an A380
I don't think it's a A380, I can't see 4 engines. And the Singapore airline flag is navy blue I THINK (So don't blame me if I'm wrong). It look like a 737 TBH.
actually it's a oman air 737 if you look closer.. woops just realised
Well, I'm close. And I got my info right, it IS a 737 and it is NOT a A380. :D
Did anyone see the vehicle at 14:12? Almost the same thing happened in another video of Matt. :p
Hahaha that was funny seeing the marshal dancing...GSX surprises me sometimes! And the next flight to Jeddah?
+AirBerlin2012 Why not? Especially if he can get his hands on the BDOaviation scenery.
Yes! Airbus wide bodies are my favourites of your videos...
Where did you get this INSANE engine sound pack?
You made my day. My favorite aircraft (A340, not Blackbox). And you flew in Middle East. Great!
Great video Matt xD A346 is a beauty, love this aircraft :D
+Matt Davies Can you do a flight to MNL in the future?
When Matt says hello there at the end and the Gsx guy shows his arse lol
Excelent video and aircraft. I wanna get the A340. How are you doing the cam movements?
Joan
finally an aircraft with nice landing sounds
You could take the hairdryer A340 from Copenhagen to San Francisco as SK935? :D Very good scenery on both ends!
Awesome ! But how did you touch down that smooth? My Blackbox A340 is almost unlandable..:
Do you ever get a overriding sensation when taxing to just hammer on the throttle and go
loool you almost made the riyadh-jeddah guy happy.... youre just teasin him now!
Amazing Video. But when you land can you please show the wing view? Thank you.
How do you get the aircraft to roll so long on idle
Hi matt ! I'm french, i speak french but with you I understand all what u say and you're just the best one so a big Merci for you and see you over the french sky ;)
Was their supposed to be music at 38:20 ?
+Matt Davies okay that's cool :D
Matt, thank you for your videos, you creating amazing stuff! Thanks to you I've started flying with Airbuses and I've learn from that time a lot. Keep it going!
Best regards =)
the plane landing was the china Easter 737....or southern?
Oman Air.
Matt, what Abu Dhabi scenery did you use please? Would it be possible for you to put those sort of details in the comments section of future videos so we can see what you've used straight up. Thanks, great video (as always).
+Guy Burton He is using the simbreeze scenery which is available on simmarket
+harrisu mohammed Thanks very much.
the aircraft landing in the start was Oman Air 737 variant.
How do you like the A330 from Blackbox Matt I seen you flying Thomas Cook to Mykonos on live stream last year?
Hi Matt! Great Video! Where did you get this "Flex to Temp"Data from?
Hi Matt you have all the jetways working in all airports how can I get it however I have the AES and GSX ?? Also can you fight from Doha Qatar to Paris CGD airport thanks Matt and keep going Im a big fan lol.
One of the best vids yet👌🏻👌🏻
If you want a nice approach fly into the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia! Really nice airport location right near the water and lots of beautiful scenery
you have to do the a380
There are no decent payware aircraft for an a280
a380*
+KoppeckaHD oh yeh
I yelled yes when you did the a340, love you matt
Nice video Matt. BBS A340 is an ok/nice plane to fly. I take it that you're using TSS for the engine sounds. That sure isn't the default one.
I've done the same for the Olympic Airlines A343 that I'm using.
What scenery of Abu Dhabi do you have?
Hey Matt, what about a Lufthansa flight in the ifly 747? :)
Another great video Matt!
22:13 hello there 777!
Edit: To be fair I actually quite like it when the flight is bouncy it gives you the funny feeling! :D but NOT when your in the toilet and there’s turbulence 😂

Could you do ANA Flight 8 from RJAA to KSFO (with Flightbeam's KSFOHD) or Narita to San Francisco using a 777-300ER?
THANK GOD! THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!
Matt Great Video as always! Did The A340 crash at all?
Also Request!
BBS A340/A330. VIRGIN EGLL-OMDB
Matt, do you recommend this or the a320 by blackbox?
The plane landing in the beginning of the video is Oman air
Woah, here's something new! A goddamn A340! Good shit right there; keep them coming!
When I went to see your new videos I was sad to see you use XPlane 11 will you return to P3D anytime soon?
hey nice video loved it what about a trip from Milan to Dubai or to anywhere else ?
Hello, Very nice video !!
How did you get the distance remaining to the gate please?
Using a add-on called GSX
Video class! I have a question where did you learn to A340-600? And then I have problems is with the A340-600 will help?
What equipment do you use to steer on the ground? It's so smooth when you turn!
What Scenery are you using for Narita?
Ezdoc camera
How did you get to start the engines? They still don't start for me. Parking brake or no.
Nice! The rare GSX dancing marshaller
hey can u tell where can i find omaa airport, cant find it anywhere?
great video as usual matt keep up the good work
is there any chance you can do vs15 matt?
LGW-MCO 747-400
when I went there was a pretty interesting approach path onto runway 35L
Those engines throttled right down after rotation 😂😂
Why didnt you turn on the light in the cockpit ?
