Nice one Mick. Ultra light is defo more aimed at summer time isn't it. That being said it is a fun challenge. I've managed to reduce weight just by trying to put essentials in. I can proudly say I now only carry 30 kilos! Haha. Nah I can't get any lower than 15kilos. Great video mate.

Been a very wet start to the year. Still great to get out into the fresh air and clean out the soul. Hopefully better weather on the way.

Prety cool setup .i hate packing. i have never been able to go ultralight. I way overthink my situation and end up taking so much just in case items .20 kg is usually what the minimum weight i carry ,finding now adays that i need to go lighter as with my age and back problems i need to cut down a bit ,wish i never had so much kit then i would have less choices lol 😆. Buy a smaller bag Lee 🤣🤣 that's what I did, it makes you really think about what you really need and what can be left behind, but my normal setup probably weighs in around 10 to 12kg 👍👌

Well done matey plastic pegs from wish at £1 for 10 is a bargin an a lot lighter so yeah your just under my summer camping gear weight 👍

First of all, singing at the intro, brought back some memories. As for light weight camping, I am hopeless. I always have the intention, but end up with 22 to 24kg. I do like my luxuries, although at 61 years old my back has a tendency to scream quite loud 'WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nice one Mick

I need to get my kit a little light as it's currently 15kg (2.5kg tent for starters)
Welcome aboard! And thankyou so much for your kind comment, I have tents that are 2.5kg or over but they are my winter high up tents, I couldn't even if I tried go lightweight in winter and if I tried I know it would cost a absolute fortune, unfortunately light means money 😞

@DavidDunn-breakinbadretrddad 🤣🤣🤣 it is a breathable jacket lol, it's closed season for fishing our rivers at the moment they don't open again until the 16th June 😭😭
@@Mickoutdoors still happy to see you out n about, I need a nice backpack like this, but with more space. I spent almost $1,000 from our tax returns on quality camping gear but that was AFTER the better half forced a downsizing... A good pack needs to be tried on before buying for me, lol, I'm 6'3 and at least 300 pounds

Your video would be better if you had b-roll of each item as you take it out of the bag. Would probably improve your engagement.

Also I do actually agree with you, my original intent was to show the item then come back with it set up, starting with the tent then adding each item in, what stopped me was it started getting busy down there as its school holidays here in the UK at the moment, and kids were constantly running through, so I decided to leave setting things up, and tbh I do regret it as that would as you rightly say been a better vid 👍👌
