Camp Nowhere is so damn great! Very underrated. I LOVE Detroit Rock City. It’s definitely one of my comfort movies when I just feel like chillin’. 🤘😛🤘 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶 🥁🎶🎶🎶
I found Camp Nowhere & Ernest Goes to Camp in blu ray for $5 @ 7/11 a few years ago. I saw it in theaters 30 years ago. Your Mall story is my childhood memories.
I dont usually pay OOP prices since I buy most of what I want soon as I can but a few months back I paid a bit more for the Hellraiser Quartet of Torment 4k box set (Chaterer artwork). If I miss on a movie & the BD is more than $40 I’ll just get the DVD for super cheap.
The most I ever paid for oop title was twilight time the mad magician in 3d for my 3d collection. Paid 117 for a sealed copy. An been looking for years for the zavvi dvd blood steelbook of 30 days of night . An one finally came up for sale and I paided 150 for it out of the uk.
Detroit rock city, got that when it was regular priced at 9.99. Prob overpaid for paramount release of Breakdown as it was a stronger transfer than the umbrella multi region edition. I sat on it when it was 14.99 ugh, but thankfully I have a fair amount that are rare. I know some of the older Sony blu rays are started to become harder to find, and I tend to seek those out as I know Echo Bridge tend to release crappier versions and the older Sony ones have a stronger sound mix and picture quality like Anaconda, Cruel Intentions, Go, Little Women
I purchased the original Arrow Video "window box" versions of Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead for $100 from a FB seller. I still think I got a great deal. There's the old story of most of the copies of Dawn of the Dead being lost to a warehouse fire. True? Who knows? But, it's a great story.
I got a sealed Detroit rock city recently as well. Yeah I guess the plastic wrap on them is real cheap. I also had to look up the main menu to make sure it wasn't a boot leg copy. Since the menu looks boot leg.😂😂
@@sidehustlecinema $85.00 which is the most I have ever spent on a movie. I just fear that we may never see a 4k release since there is so much copyright music in it.
@@sidehustlecinema I paid 85 dollars. I am just worried it won't get a 4k for a long time since they have to pay KISS to make a transfer. Would rather pay 85 now than 150 in the future for it. Lol
What’s worse than anything I paid for an OOP title was paying around $41 (includes shipping) for Unlawful Entry, a bare bones blu-ray released by Shout Factory. I swear, it felt like I was buying an OOP title. 😂
I bought the movie Spun last year for $38.00 I'm lucky I found the Underworld 4k box set for $49.99 at a store. I have no holds bar on bluray and detriot rock city bluray.
SHC! Yeah, that Slaughterhouse edition is excellent! I have that movie, but I don't have that killer edition. Gas Pump Girls! Awesome! Detroit Rock City is fun! Edward Furlong! If I want something bad enough, I'll pay the price. That's a funny date story! Wrong number date! That's awesome! Great additions, my friend! Cheers! 🤘🏼🍻
Dang $225 but the movie being limited to 1000 it's hard to find comps to know how good a deal it is. I have a lot of media books and I don't know if they're valuable or not because they are so limited.
I used to think people were nuts paying big money for movies on the aftermarket, but upon deeper thought, it's fine. I remember dropping $65 (when new games were usually $50) to FunCoLand back in the day to buy this obscure PS2 game on Day 1 called Victorious Boxers. I'm a long time boxing fan and I was thirsty for any boxing game I could get. It ended up being my favorite PS2 boxing game, so I didn't regret the purchase. I have had some titles end up OOP that I would've loved to have had that I'm not willing to pay aftermarket prices for, but I understand when people do. I want the Cynthia Rothrock Martial Law films, but I'll wait for someone to eventually put them back out.
The problem I have is that the main reason this happens a lot of time is that resellers buy up tons of copies at release, forcing it to go out of stock sooner than later.
No holds barred and Detroit rock are out of print?! I paid 13$ for no holds when it first released, and I got Detroit rock at a 7-11 for 5$ few years back lol
I picked up the Arrow Killer Klowns after the Scream Factory 4K came out (which I also got, of course) for $34 shipped. I probably could've waited a bit and maybe got it cheaper, but I'm happy enough with it because it came with the slip in great condition and it looks like new, and a few months ago it was regularly going for $60+ used from what I saw. I've picked up a handful of other OOP titles, but nothing crazy. Someone recently sold me Evils of the Night with slip sealed for $25 shipped, which, for that movie, felt like the appropriate price, especially given that even during their recent sale, their non-slip copy was $20. Which, that movie sucks, and I wouldn't recommend it, but I kinda enjoy it for some reason. I've definitely gotten some great deals on OOP titles, but nothing mind-blowing off the top of my head.
Cool video and topic. I haven't gone too crazy on OOP titles/prices. I kept skipping the NY Ninja big box bc I watched it blind with no context on Paramount Plus and thought it was awful, but then I learned more about it recently and was like "Damn, now I want it so I can read that booklet." I paid $50 shipped, so not too bad, but I'm a VS subscriber so I could've had it for I want to say $40, maybe a little lower at some point. I'm one bothered by not getting movies at the lowest price, although I'm not counting when you buy a movie at a good price, then a year or two later it's cheaper. I mean you missed a sale for $10 and end up paying $15 later even though it's in print. That kinda annoys me.
Paid $500 OOP factory sealed 8 DVD 2004 box set of INTO EVIDENCE the JFK murder there's a copy on eBay for $700 right now and that copy was used my copy is factory sealed so I may try and sell mine and see what I can get

I think DRC would be on my comfort movie list as well.
I found Camp Nowhere & Ernest Goes to Camp in blu ray for $5 @ 7/11 a few years ago. I saw it in theaters 30 years ago. Your Mall story is my childhood memories.
I paid 75 bucks for the OOP Anchor Bay Bluray of Dawn of the Dead about 6 years ago off of EBAY
I want that Camp Nowhere. I've never seen that version of Slaughterhouse. Very sick! DRC is one of my favorite movies, only have the DVD. Awesome vid!
I quote DRC all the time. It's such a great movie.
@sidehustlecinema7288 Same dude! Just -ah...Getting some Sunshine!
Bsck in 2011 I bought Dogma at a used DVD store for $12.99
I dont usually pay OOP prices since I buy most of what I want soon as I can but a few months back I paid a bit more for the Hellraiser Quartet of Torment 4k box set (Chaterer artwork). If I miss on a movie & the BD is more than $40 I’ll just get the DVD for super cheap.
The prices are all over the place. So if you want something just keep checking back and you'll eventually get a good price.
Recently, I found a copy of Free Willy on bluray at a thrift store for $2
Ha I heard that several times. I wish I was that lucky. lol
The most I ever paid for oop title was twilight time the mad magician in 3d for my 3d collection. Paid 117 for a sealed copy.

Very nice! It's always great to get those grail releases that we've been after for a while.

You found a copy of Cruel Intentions? That's another one I would love to get.
I've never heard of any of those movies, except for Detroit Rock City. I have Detroit Rock City on DVD.
You never heard of Cujo? It's a Stephen King classic. Go Steelers
@@sidehustlecinema I've heard of Stephen King. He's the same author who wrote "Christine." Christine is a classic.
I bought the Kino blu-ray of Cadillac Man on eBay right after it went OOP, brand new for $14.95. It looks like it is going for $70+ now.
Oh wow I have that one. That's awesome to hear. Keep an eye on the leaving soon section at Kino for sure. Thanks for that info.

if I saw DRC, in person on DVD or Blu-ray, I'd get it also...
I don't usually buy oop. But I did pay $60 for the arrow killer klowns with slip on ebay.
Was that before the 4k came out?
Before the 4k was released, but after it was announced. It was sealed, I didn't open it. I just put it in a protector for my collection.
I just spent $80 on Ninja Blade earlier today haha but this video is making me feel better about it
Nice! If you want it go get it and there's nothing wrong with that. Glad the video helped. lol
What’s worse than anything I paid for an OOP title was paying around $41 (includes shipping) for Unlawful Entry, a bare bones blu-ray released by Shout Factory. I swear, it felt like I was buying an OOP title. 😂
I fell for that one too. I love the movie but would have usually passed at that price but I got caught up in the hype.

The Underworld 4k box set is amazing. I don't feel like those movies get talked about enough.

Thanks Mikey! I've been watching a lot of comedies lately. Summertime and comedies seem to go together.
@@sidehustlecinema Very true! Watch The Sweater Girls if you can find it! Happy watching, my friend! Cheers! 🤘🏼🍻
Gas Pump Girls is one of the greatest films ever made! That was a day one Blu-ray buy for me.
never heard of it until this video, now I must see it...
Greatest ever might be a leap but it was definitely fun. Thanks for watching.
The only OOP movie I bought was the 80s Tomboy Blu-Ray for $40 bucks on eBay.
I've never seen that one. I'll have to check it out.
I've paid a couple 100 for some blue rays, but I think the most I payed was $225 for limited to a 1000 Jess, Franco triple future blu-ray.

That was a good deal on Killer Klowns.
Got Hobo With A Shotgun at Florida Dollar Tree for $1.07

I just watched NY Ninja and didn't really care for it. It made me feel better for not picking it up. It a very nice looking release though.

I think maybe you should that's a lot of money. Thanks for sharing.
You still selling slips?
A couple days ago I did a video talking about it. Keep an eye on the channel for more details. Thanks
Too much chat at the beginning, just get on with it, 4 mins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe I'll add time stamps next time.
